Answered Question on Thread Collaboration

So on a recent update, the thread collaboration feature was included. I know that it allows for other users to edit on threads that have been started by other users. But I was wondering if the function is supposed to be open to where users themselves could make themselves collaborators? I tested this through one of my friend's rps, with their permission, to see if I could add myself as a collaborator without them doing it.

Are other users besides the owner of the thread supposed to be allowed to do this? I'm just curious since it's a new feature.

I don't believe anyone but the threadstarter should be able to do this, but I've confirmed the issue and inform Wizard of the issue.

That's what I figured. I wanted to be sure that I wasn't missing a detail or something. It would be very concerning to see users taking control without permission. Thanks for answering quickly!

Yeah that would be a bad thing if someone was mean enough to hijack another user's content without permission. XD Hopefully there is a fix soon. Until then if you find anyone adding themselves, let us know via report ;3

Yup it seems that the function that allowed for adding collaborators is gone on my end for threads I am participating in (at least in ones that I am not a collaborator). The one I am collaborating in still allows for me to add additional users if I choose to do so.


Oh and if any other users are viewing this to see further information on thread collaboration, I believe that the permission needs to be given to the chosen user for each individual page made for the roleplay. So permission needs to be given individually between the main page, character sheet page, and out of character page (if those extra pages are created).
