Hi. I have a question about symbols.

What are the site rules for religious symbols such as the swastika? I don't mean the perverted version used by the Nazis. I mean the original symbol that has been around for thousands of years.

There really isn't a specific rule regarding religious symbols. As long as it isn't used in a disrespectful manner, it should be fine. You might have to actually explain the origin of the swastika symbol to some who may not know it's origins. Japan recently removed the symbol from their tourist maps over confusion and had to replace them with a different symbol.

If you expect someone to get offended by the intent of your post, it's likely disrespectful. If you think a reasonable person (even one who disagrees with you) would not be thus offended, it's probably OK. (Note that I said "intent"; we all know some will get offended without actually reading the whole thing, but that's another matter.)
