Question about dice roleplaying?

"The dice rp" isn't really one game, it's any game that uses dice and codified rules as a primary method of conflict or problem resolution. Games like Dungeons and Dragons, World of Darkness, Exalted, Mutants and Masterminds, and Warhammer 4k are all games that use a wide variety of systems and mechanics to facilitate gameplay.

To join one, all you really have to do is own the ruleset to one or more of those games that interest you, and keep an aye on the dice game interest forum for any games that strike your fancy. There'll be a bit of a learning curve if it's your very first dice game, as you'll constantly be checking and rechecking the rules to make sure you have everything correct. Do not allow this to discourage you, as you will get the hang of it, and eventually it will be come second nature, and you will have a LOT of fun! ( :) )

No problem, I do dice games pretty much exclusively these days, so I hope to see you in a game someday!

Starting and running a dice game is going to be much more complicated than simply playing it, so I wouldn't recommend doing it if it's your first experience with dice and systems. If you really want to get in to dice games, Dungeons and Dragons recently released their 5th edition of their game line, and Exalted's 3rd edition is supposedly right around the corner, so those games are likely to take off on the site once the ball gets rolling.

I would recommend doing a bit of research on which of the two most interests you, as you'll have to buy a rulebook if you want to play, and you don't want to invest your money in to something that you can't use or doesn't strike you as fun.
