Emperor Of Embers
The Red Kaiser of Flame
Jett Springsteen, the jet hero known as the Argent Comet, had heard radio chatter about a crater being formed in the streets of Queens, and apparently there is fighting going on down there.Katja awoke as her head hit the ground the pain jolting her awake, her head was throbbing not just from the recent impact but from whoever had knocked her out. She blinked a few times and noticed lots had changed, though she wasn't aware enough to fully take it all in in fact it took her a few moments to realize her wheelchair was gone. Katja likely would have tried to walk, but well the world was still a bit spiny and blurry she was in no condition to walk with how much of a struggle that could be in ideal circumstances. Katja slowly managed to sit up actually managing to focus enough to use her quirk to lift her back up as she was feeling weak, she was not going to be fighting for a little bit. Looking around Katja finally took in the situation the ceiling gone, extra strange people fighting other students. Katja couldn't tell if these were teacher or if villains were attacking the students. She would have tried to attack but her head was fuzzy and her just lifting herself was about her current limit. She could join the fight if everything lasted long enough, but hopefully the villains or teachers would be run off before she recovered.
"Time to check it out, maybe this will be a success." He muttered as he ate a few sweets and chugged a large glass of grape juice.
"There, that should last me a while. If not, then I got some really sugary candy and sugar pills." He said as he walked out of his apartment, and took many deep breaths, his wings warming up as the engines started to sound like a jet starting up. And like that, he jumped off, and his engines shot him into the air, making no time at all to the scene of chaos. They were right about the fighting in a massive crater.
"There! That's it!" He exclaimed to himself as he dove right in, and landed perfectly on one knee. Fortunately, he saw a girl who was disoriented, and ran to her aid. "Are you alright?!" He asked as he knelt in front of her, and held up 3 fingers. "How many fingers am I holding up?" Karcen
Egon saw Greed make a statue of his likeness in front of her, to block whatever attack she had in store. "Oh good god, this guy has a massive ego. Must be compensating for something. Maybe Greed Jr. is not that big after all." She muttered as she saw the statue fall over in her direction. she growled, and came to a decision. She jumped up, and slashed at it with her claws, while armored up. 4 Pieces fell down to the ground, and she glared him dead in the eye. "You know, maybe that statue made you look a little uglier! I may have even take out your bad side!" She taunted as she giggled. "All talk and no action. All ass, and no sass!" She then got into a ready position to dodge. IG42 CapRock
It quickly became apparent that there was a serious problem in Lust’s plan of mowing down the bees; being as large of a cloud as they were, they could flank her as they were shot, making even the highest rate of fire amongst her arsenal insufficient to save her from doom. The Sin’s gaze jumped from both sides, then to the hole she left at the middle, as a plan formed in her head. Finally, she turned her back towards the bees, her gun’s barrels still spinning.
“Hop on, Jun!” She told Lust Jr. “We’re going in for a ride.”
After her partner was safely secured in her back, Lust took a good breathe of his intoxicating hormones. Her gun shone a bright pink as she did it, increasing its rotation speed even further before it began to fire again. When it did, aiming at the ground, the pushback was so powerful that it lifted both villains from the ground, turning them into a human rocket that zipped right through the middle of the two flanking flows of bees.
Landing wasn’t exactly 5 stars material, however. A few more bees had managed to latch on, and Lust’s face was now barely recognizable. Her minigun had fizzled out and she replaced it with a rifle, whose trigger she struggled to fit her swollen finger onto. She paced heavily around the rubbles, the main cloud still far away from her. She knew the kid had run off somewhere in that direction, and she was determined to solve the bee issue on the source.
“Come on, kid, where are you?” She said in a soft, but annoyed tone as she probed the vicinities. “I just want to talk…”
God Particle was, at first, speechless to see he had ended up with someone whose quirk just so happened to make them immune to falls. As the hands piled up on him, he tried his best to struggle and resist, but it was for naught; he was pinned down, and heading towards the wall. He decided to vent his frustration the only way he knew: gloating.
“What do you even think you’re doing? Let your stinking hands off of me! You can’t toss me around like that – do you even realize who you’re dealing with, peasant? I am inevitable, I am supreme! I am God Par-“
*BAM*
And no further words were uttered.
Trickshot listened to all of the boy’s babbling with solemn silence. After he was done, he nodded and placed his hand on Frau’s shoulder as an attempt to settle him down. With the other hand, he reached out for the communicator in his ear, to which he said:
“224 in Queens. Somewhere east to 78th. Yes. On my way.” He then looked back to Frau and added: “Get to a hospital. We’ll take it from here.”
With those words, the hero turned around and made a run for the direction Frau pointed, not a hint of fear in his face. He checked his pockets; still plenty of ammo to use against the villains. Backup should be arriving soon as well, according to HQ. The fight itself wasn't the real problem, however. The entire situation just reeked of wrong to the trained eyes of the hero detective. What exactly is their angle with this?
Lily hadn’t the time to react or answer Eiji; having overused her quirk far too much for a single day, she only realized what was happening when she was already flying and spinning in the air, her belongings all dropped and laying on the ground from the final blow. She quickly attempted to roll back into a stance, but her leg failed her and she ended landing face flat on the floor.
“Why, you…” Lily glared at her, but with her skin pale and a thin streak of blood coming from her mouth, it was hardly an intimidating sight. “I’m tired of playing today, but I’ll get those knifes of yours framed on a wall someday… Right next to your head! Muahaha-“ Her cackle was shortly interrupted by a rough cough or two. “hahahahaha!”
Lily held her breath and ran away. Even limping and injured as she was, it was still hard to keep up with her movements – she swiftly put some distance between herself and the students and disappeared into the streets. On her mind, the imprint of two faces she wouldn’t forget so soon, as well as her plans for her next move upon them.
The Sin watched as the two scurried back behind cover to lick their wounds. Instead of chasing after them, he took the opportunity to get a nice stretch in, tossing away what was left of his weaponry and stood still. Despite the cuts, he did not seem fazed, or tired. If anything, he was enjoying it the most out of all Sins.
“The heroes’ future is looking bright!” He exclaimed to the students. “Many potential toys for us to play with. It may sound that we’re an unsurmountable challenge, but please, do not give it up! Your blood and sweat is the greatest gift we could ever receive.”
When Egon advanced, Greed prepared his defense; he used his quirk to generate a 1:1 sized pure gold statue of himself, which dropped right between himself and Egon to take the blow in his stead. Regardless of what happened after, he reached out to what remained of the statue and gave it a push, causing it to topple in Egon’s direction.
