Once again trying my hand at a partner search/interest check! I'm looking for some folks who are interested in doing a long-term roleplay with queer characters. I'm mainly looking for MxM, NBxNB, and MxNB, but I might be open to doing FxF or FxNB as well.

- been writing for around 10 years
- I would consider myself lit to advanced lit, I typically try to match my partner's post length, but I'm most comfortable writing around 2-4 good size paragraphs
- 3rd person (I'm happy to provide a writing sample if you want!)
- ghost friendly but I do appreciate a heads up and I will try to do the same!
- my reply frequency varies from a couple times a day to a couple times a week, but I don't expect you to do the same
- I like to focus on writing just one character, but I don't mind doubling for side characters!
- I'm not too picky about faceclaims, but I'd prefer no anime style FCs
- I prefer to roleplay through PMs or on Discord but if you prefer threads that's fine as well
- 18+
- at a similar writing level
- if you're able to respond a couple times a week that's great! if not the minimum I'm looking for is probably about once a week, but I understand if it takes longer
- comfortable doubling if needed
- enjoys chatting OOC about plotting, our characters, or anything really!

Settings/Themes--
apocalypse (not so much zombies but aliens, natural disasters, etc) // horror/paranormal/supernatural // modern fantasy // medieval fantasy, maybe // sci-fi/futuristic
Pairings--
any monster/human pairings, really! I could also go for a monster/monster pairing but monster/human is my favourite for sure. Some specific examples:
monster hunter x the monster they're hunting // alien x human adventurer who is exploring their planet (or vice versa) // new vampire x older vampire (this could also be applied to other monsters such as werewolves!)
Don't feel confined to these either! Feel free to pitch other ideas or combine a couple of these, this is just to give you an idea of the themes and pairings I usually enjoy.

Reluctant Allies--
Character A is a monster hunter, somewhat famous for their skills and previous kills. Character B is a monster who has always managed to evade them, leading to the two of them developing a begrudging respect for each other. In this world, monsters exist just on the outskirts of humanity, flying just under the radar. However, a serial killer has just popped up in town-- one who seems determined to expose the monsters by staging his kills. Character A asks Character B to help them investigate the murders, believing that their knowledge is the only thing that will let them find the killer. To their collective dismay, their reluctant alliance seems to be developing into a friendship-- and then more. (enemies to lovers, modern/urban fantasy, could go into a horror vibe if you want!)
A New World--
In a world where the Earth has long since been left barren and destroyed by humanity, humans have taken to the stars and begun exploring new planets that might be a viable new home. In the search for resources and solid ground upon which to build, they come across a planet which seems almost perfect. The air is breathable, there is water, and vegetation, however alien it may look. Character A is a risk-taking explorer sent to survey the planet with a small group of researchers. Their mission is to figure out one crucial question: is the planet already inhabited? (sci-fi/futuristic, could be enemies to lovers if you want to take the route but I like the idea of two characters who are mutually alien to each other sharing their cultures and all that!)
What's a Guy Like You Doing in a Place Like This--
Character A and Character B were childhood friends who went way back. In college, Character A started hanging out with some shady characters, going to parties, and staying out late. Character B became more withdrawn and focused on their studies. A chance encounter one late night leaves Character A with a shock the next morning-- they've become something inhuman. As they come to terms with their new existence, they more or less disappear off the face of the Earth, leaving Character B to mourn their friendship and wonder whatever happened to them. Years later, Character A is in an underground bar, a secret meeting place for non-humans, when they spot a familiar face. Character B had been on a downward spiral for a few years, ending in them somehow finding the location of the bar. They knew it was a dangerous place, but they just didn't care what happened to them anymore. Character A intercepts before anything can happen to them, and decides to try to rekindle their relationship to help their friend through the hard times. (modern/urban fantasy, I could see this one being a little darker or just starting out dark and getting more uplifting. Up to you how you want to play it!)
