"I dont find max's humor a good match for you."yui laughs at the idea of katja being like Max. " I actaully have a super powerful move but it scarey to use. My powers is base in water and ice but my body is also connected to it. For instants my body temperature is lower in magical girl form."

Max and Tsubaki approached the apartment. "Well, elevators don't work in slipspace, which means we have three options: A. Go in, exit slipspace, use an elevator, and risk being caught. If seen, your excessive bleeding could cause panic and get the paramedics involved, which would not be good. B. We walk up the stairs. I won't be able to focus on blocking your pain if we do that, as supporting you will be too much, so the pain will be greater. Not agonizing or anything, but it will sting like a bitch. Or C. I carry you. I'm pretty sure I can support you, and you shouldn't feel too much pain. Only problem is," she pointed at her bare chest. "So you decide if you're like... emotionally ready for that or whatever. Your choice on which option."
Tsubaki rolled her eyes a little at the way Max presented the last option. "Max, if you're that worried about me looking at your boobs then relax. I don't care, like, at all." She turned to look around the currently empty lobby. "That said, attempting the elevator, while nice, is just asking for disaster. Not to mention the cameras in there. So that's kind of out of the question . . . that said I don't feel right making you carry me since I can still walk well enough. Sure it's gonna hurt like a bitch, but I'll manage." She gave a slight shrug, "Always been told I have a high pain tolerance anyway."

"It was for your sake, not mine," she said in reference to the breasts quote. I mean, the only way to carry her without excessive pain was bridal style, which would put her head right about...

Max shrugged and held on to her soul gem. "I'll do my best, but get ready." Max supported Tsubaki as they began walking up the stairs.

" That is why i do not make joke" Katja said the exception of just then going unsaid .

The topic of super moves was an odd one as all it was, was using the powers you gained in a none obvious way. The powers were the same it was simply how you used it that mattered so she guessed they all had some form of super move.

" Well you could say everyone got to see my super move today" Katja said assuming that what she did could be called a super move " Though there is very little difference than my normal abilities and it just where i open the rift." Katja explained still this was not what she generally saw on TV this shoudl not be work talk " Still this is a sleepover we should avoid talk of work, perhaps you can tell me about yourself, i am .... interested in hearing about you and in return i will tell you about me" Katja said finding the word interested odd but most fitting.

Tsubaki nodded as they began hobbling up the stairs. At least her apartment was on the seventh floor . . . which still sucked but it wasn't nearly as bad as being on the thirtieth floor or something. Compared to the pain without Max hanging onto her soul gem this was manageable. Sure there was wincing and more than a little bit of swearing, but she still continued to make her way up the flights of stairs.

Though they seemed to go on forever.

Eventually, the girls made it up to Tsubaki's apartment. They entered as Max took a look at the wounds. "Good, they're already clotting. The bleeding has slowed, and the pain should be somewhat manageable if I were to let go. Not gonna do that yet though. Show me where the medical supplies are so we'll be ready to go when we exit."

Tsubaki actually had to think for a moment to remember where a first aid kit was. They didn't have one in the kitchen like many families did. "Umm . . . The small closet by the bathroom." She motioned down the hall with her head. "It's probably on the top shelf."

Max nodded and walked with Tsubaki and grabbed the first aid kit. She walked into her room with her. "Okay, when we exit slip space, I'm going to let go of your soul gem. I need to patch you up quickly before you bleed all over your floor. It won't hurt nearly as bad as it did earlier, but it's still going to hurt quite a lot. So brace yourself, and tell me when you're ready."

"Ready as I'll ever be, I guess." Tsubaki took a breath before exiting slip space and returning to her actual room. The pain hit almost immediately, enough to coax some fresh tears, but not bad enough to reduce her to a little ball of pain. She carefully worked her hoodie off so it wouldn't be soaked through with blood. Though it was still going to need washed before things had a chance to set. Looks like it's going to be a jinbei kind of night. the loose fitting shirt and shorts would likely interfere the least with any bandages.

Max immediately set to work with the kit wrapping the wounds. Thankfully due to the magical girl body, she didn't really need to worry about disinfecting. The magical girl body was only hurt by physical wounds, bacteria was killed quickly via magic. She simply wrapped the wounds in gauze and stepped back to admire her handiwork. The bandages were nice. They'd do the job, for sure. Had Max had more of a reason, she could do a professional bandage wrap. However, this was only to stop blood and clot it. There wasn't any lifesaving going on, so she didn't need to worry that much.

Some blood got on the floor or on Tsubaki's shirt, but it was mostly fine. Tsubaki was now sufficiently bandaged. Hopefully her siblings wouldn't notice anything, though if what she said about them earlier was any indication they should be fine.

"Good thing my floor isn't carpeted," Tsubaki said in an attempted joke. "Thanks though." There really wasn't much on the floor, a wet washcloth would be more than enough to clean the mess. Though she was understandably hesitant about bending down to clean the floor. Moving over to her dresser, she picked up the top that had been tossed on top of it and carefully eased it on. Tying the strings proved considerably difficult with one hand, but somehow she pulled it off. Jeans were kicked (gently) aside before the loose fitting shorts were pulled on.

Tsubaki rummaged through the drawer for a second before pulling out a black tshirt and sweatpants and offering them to Max. Rather plain looking, the shirt had a red handprint on one sleeve. On the inside of the collar, where only the person putting it on could see was the words 'we know.'

Max smiled in thanks as she took the shirt. Pulling off her perfectly intact shirt, now complete with appropriate undergarments, as well as her pants she replaced them. "What do you know, mr shirt?" She said to herself. "Pretty comfy! Certainly an improvement from leather." Max sighed as she leaned against a wall. "So... that happened."

"I think a lot of things are probably an improvement from straight leather." Tsubaki said as she carefully sat on the bed. Yes, the clothes needed tossed in the wash and the floor needed cleaned. But that could wait a couple minutes, she was thoroughly wiped out at the moment. "Yeah, good thing both of us went though or that would have really sucked."

"Yeah. That one was a toughie. Both of my first Yoma were freakishly difficult. Perhaps that's the Beltane." Max paused for a few moments before sticking her fist out by Tsubaki's good hand for a fist-bump. "But hey, we made one hell of a team."

Tsubaki nodded, returning Max's fist-bump. The regal theme of Hyrule Castle continued softly playing in the background as the game patiently waited for them to return. Tsubaki signed a little as she leaned back against the pillows. "Max, I . . . " she hesitated for a moment, trailing off. Just spit it out already. "I know neither of us really want to think about work that much longer tonight. But . . ." Another small sigh, "It's important that I tell you I don't hold your job against you." She looked up at Max with tired eyes. "I understand . . . Sacrificing a few hundred lives to save billions or even trillions of them." A soft, sad chuckle escaped her lips. "I mean it doesn't make it any easier to stomach. But we're a necessary evil it seems. On what little bright side there is, at least we can prevent more people from dying than absolutely necessary..."

Max nodded. "Thank you. I hope Yui comes around too. It's not a job that..." she figured out how to word it to be both truthful and tactful. "If there was another way, I'd take it in a heartbeat," she said. "But as it stands, this is what must be done. It's awful that people must die, but if it means saving the universe than it's what will be done. The most I can do is sacrifice the necessary losses, and the most WE can do is make sure no one else becomes part of that statistic..." Max considered telling Tsubaki about trying to figure it out with the Beltane. Well, two heads ARE better than one. "But there is hope," Max said. She leaned forward. "The Beltane is coming. It grants one wish. I don't have an exact plan, but I think all of us agree it would be better if no one died. That's one wish we can all agree on. So if we could find a way to wish for the Incubator's quota on Earth to be fulfilled without more people dying... we might be relieved of this burden. I don't have an exact wish yet, and such a wish must be considered incredibly carefully. But we might be able to pull it off."

Tsubaki blinked when Max mentioned the Beltran. "I'd . . . completely forgot about getting a wish after bringing it down. " Her mind ran through the different possibilities, that no more people would have to die, no more Yom... "It's doable . . . " She frowned a little, "but there's probably still backlash with even that wish. Something like that could really bite us in the ass."

"Yes, but we could be the last," Max said. "We already signed ourselves on to be martyrs when we signed our contract. My karmic debt isn't going away, either. Planting the Yoma seeds is chipping it off, but I've still got a hell of a curse hanging over me." Max sighed. "Personally, I'd be willing to take on the karmic debt if it meant no one else died..." she sighed sadly. "The fate of all magical girls awaits us all, and it isn't a pleasant one. We all know what lays in our future. We can prevent more from meeting it." Max thought for a moment before groaning. "I just considered that maybe my karmic debt means more karmic debt. My curse is to get an even bigger curse, maybe." Oh dear... maybe that makes the Beltane larger. Have I put my allies in danger? Of course I have. "Nevermind. It doesn't matter. The point is, I believe it's worth it if it means no one else must suffer."

Tsubaki nodded, "Being the last would be nice." Crimson eyes shifted back over to where Max was standing. "But I can't just make you take all that backlash alone. You've got enough hanging over your head as is." With a faint smile, she reached over and picked up the controller to her Super Famicom. "Come on, I think we both need a break after today."

Max smiled. A bit of sadness was in her smile, but there was also exhaustion, relief, and genuine happiness. "Like hell we do," Max said as she walked over and plopped down next to Tsubaki, grabbing the controller. She pressed start and continued through the castle. "I was gonna say we trade out after death or something, but that doesn't seem like a possibility now." She pressed a few buttons and continued. "How are you feeling? Has the pain numbed?"

"It's dulled a little, but still very much in the 'don't think I'm letting you ignore me' stage." Tsubaki chuckled softly, "It's manageable though." She looked down at her hands, lightly trailing a finger across her still crippled hand. "I think I'm starting to get some feeling back in my hand though. I mean it feels like there's a thick glove over it or something but hey, progress." Tsubaki's attention moved back up to the game, "I don't know about you, but I've always like using the pots to knock guards off the wall. But seriously, why is so much of the basement a bottomless pit in the palace?"

It was then that kyubey appeared, though for once he wasn't there for schemes or plots. " Hello girls, I felt you had charged grief seeds" He said simply.

"Oh, yeah, I should probably clean my soul gem now that I'm not bleeding all over the place." She glanced at Max, "You'd grabbed all the seeds. Could I have one real quick?" Tsubaki did have a couple spare seeds stored away, but moving to get them wasn't all that high on the list of things she wanted to do at the moment.

Max pulled out the used grief seed and tossed it to Kyubey. Max then handed two grief seeds to Tsubaki. "There. One for right now, and one for removing the grief given to you for healing." Max still had two left over from the previous Yoma, which was good. It was unfortunate she used her grief seeds so quickly, leaving her with only two, but it was a start at least. "I dunno. I sometimes like to imagine they had, like, a really big earthquake that ripped apart the basement," she said in response to Tsubaki. "Or Cthulu was sealed down there and he broke out. I like that explanation. Also, have you ever tried a 'break no pots' run? It's tough. The temptation is consuming." She killed a guard. "Ever feel bad killing these guys? Like, they're probably bros. Not their choice."

kyubey swallowed up the grief seed " Oh and i couldn't help but overhear your talk of the Beltane, while you shoudl know Max I thought I would clear up your idea on it, you could use it to make a wish like that or you could just give it to me for it's energy with no backlash but now wish " he said waiting on Tsubaki's grief seed, while he was not goign to give advice like normal he could justify it now as he was already here for grief seeds.
