"I understand katja. But i cant forgive kyubey or Max for this. Lieing to us." Yui says as the ice resend to her soulgem. Yui not on the verge of despair anymore. "Max we are enemies now. I will continue to fight the yoma as i agreed to for my wish and to stop others from suffering." Yui says as she allows her anger to show her new resolve.

" They didn't lie Max especially she didn't even get the chance to speak on the matter " Katja said in a way defending both but also trying to keep the team together it would not be effective if they had another split. " I do not want to be your enemy Yui but if Max is then i must be as well" She said seemingly acting out the part of the person to be traded around not someone with her own free will, she woudl be aligned with whoever was giving her orders. " This is a test Yui remember that"

"What is your deal?" Max said with annoyance and desperation. "I just found this out last night! I haven't lied about anything! What is so hard for you to understand about this: I, DON'T, HAVE, A, CHOICE! Would you rather I not plant more seeds and let a billion people die? I'm a magical girl, like you! I kill Yoma to protect people, and this has become another task of mine. I plant seeds to protect people, because if I don't many, MANY more people will die. Listen to me Yui! I'm in this with you! I want to help people as much as you do!"

" what you want from me? To be the happy Yui you met yesterday. Sorry but can you leave me alone for now." With that yui runs off towards her house. Maybe enemies was the wrong choice of words yui thought. She didnt want people suffering as yoma. If there was a way to stop the yoma and not hurt other she would do it.

"Ugh!" Max yelled as she kicked a rock. "That closed-minded, ignorant... ugh!" She paced a bit to vent. "Whatever. She just needs time to cool down. I'll talk to her tomorrow." Max began to walk away, muttering to herself in bitterness. "Are humans really THAT irrational? Geez, I see what Kyubey's deal is now. I wonder if I would have been like that, had I not had the knowledge I have now. Perhaps. I understand now though." She pulled out a grief seed and looked at it. "This must be done. For the sake of the universe."

"[pb] She is young, she doesn't see the big picture [/b]" Katja said seemingly trying to act as the voice of reason to Maxs' anger " She has been having many issues with being a magical girl, not everyone stays well adjusted some devolve and go mad " Katja continued if anything she was saying what Max already knew. " i will go after her and speak to her if you need me you will likely know a way to contact me" Katja said before heading out after Yui, though why she went after her Katja couldn't fully understand but rationalized it as they had planned to meet so they would meet.

Tsubaki sat in her room back at home, door locked, headphones on. In a search for some kind of distraction from that day's news, she grabbed Hyrule Warriors and put it on. A mindless, button masher, gives her something to do but let's her zone out some. She didn't know how long she played before sighing and setting the controller down. She rubbed her eyes as she twirled the card from Max in her fingers. Finally she shook her head and pulled out her phone. Tsubaki sent Max a text:

Hey it's Tsubaki. If you feel like talking some time soon you could come by my place. Or we could meet wherever, it doesn't overly matter.

After adding in her address and apartment number she tossed her phone back on her desk. It was just a waiting game.

Max sighed as she exited slipspace, her work over. It wasn't very physically taxing, but it took an emotional toll. Nonetheless, it helped knowing that she was doing this for the sake of the universe. It was rewarding work, if not always the most pleasant to do.

Max perked up as she felt her phone buzz against her leg. She pulled it out and read Tsubaki's text. She grinned to herself and silently fist bumped. I'm in. Her first thought was meeting at her place? I like where THIS is going. She chuckled and made her way to Tsubaki's place.

About five minutes later, she made it to Tsubaki's apartment. She had already texted her dad that she would be with a friend for an undetermined amount of time, to which he seemed pleased she had such a good friend already, if not confused by the fact that she had never been mentioned. Max made it to Tsubaki's door and knocked.

It took her a moment to get to the door, but Tsubaki answered trying to keep and excited dog from slipping outside. "Hey," she said stepping back for Max to get in. Her voice was lower than usual, eyes still red and swollen. "Come in, I kind of figured everyone's favorite buddy was going to have you running around like a madwoman all night." Not the best attempt at a joke, but Tsybaki should at least get points for effort after the day everyone had. "Um... Parents are out of town, so it's just me and my sisters. So don't worry about having to be careful talking about work and stuff." She looked around a little, poor at making conversation. "We have plenty of leftovers from dinner if you'd like any."

Max smiled softly as she saw Tsubaki's expression and heard her voice. Wow, she's definitely taking this hard. I suppose I don't blame her. "If it wouldn't be a bother," she said in response to the leftovers. She knew she didn't HAVE to eat, thank you soul gem, but it certainly made things easier. Plus, food still tasted good. "Yeah, Kyubey's certainly giving me a run for my money," she said with a chuckle. She leaned down to pet the dog a bit. "Do your sisters know, then?" Max asked, still petting the dog.

Yui arrives at home and runs up stairs. She didnt say anything to her mother or father. As she runs to her room she bumps into her brother knocking him to the ground. "Sorry, are you okay. Nothing injured." Yui says as she pat all over him to make sure.

" yes i am fine sister. Stop worrying about me." Says yui's brother pushing her away. As he notice she been crying. " are you okay?"

" i am your big sister i will always worry about you. I am fine. Now go down stairs and have my desert from dinner."

"Thank you sis" says yui's brother as he runs down stairs.

Yui goes to her room and shuts the door. "Finally by myself." Yui says as she falls on her bed and bring her legs to her chest.

Katja had followed Yui to make sure she was ok, and had ending up following the girl all the way to her house, which unlike Katja's home had a family in it. Katja could simply rift into Yui's room but that would raise many questions and even Katja had the sense to not sneak into anothers' house . It actually too Katja a few minutes to realize the simplest option was to tell a lie that she was Yuis' friend that was worried about her. It was close enough to the truth Katja was goign to talk to her abotu her problems and that was what a friend normally would do.

She walked up to the door and knocked loudly "Excuses me[/b]" She said as she knocked.

Tsubaki nodded, motioning towards the kitchen with her head. The apartment's layout was pretty open, with no walls blocking off the kitchen from the living area. A small hallway led to the bedrooms and bathroom. Opening the fridge, the teen poked through the different containers of leftovers. "Uh . . . there's tonkatsu, rice, some curry . . . oh, a little unagi left too. Anything sound good?" Tsubaki asked pulling out a pitcher of lemonade she'd made the previous day.

She couldn't help but shift slightly at Max's question. "Neither of them know yet, but I'll likely tell Hana before anyone else in the family. Kyoko . . . " She shrugged, "I'll be surprised if we even see her tonight. She's playing some online game with friends tonight, probably won't even notice you're hear to be honest."

"Umm..." Max had to mull over what tonkatsu and unagi were again. Living in America for a large portion of every year certainly didn't do her any favors when it comes to Japanese cuisine. She eventually remembered what they were, and spoke up. "Tonkatsu, if you'd please." She listened about her sisters. "Ah. Well, Kyoko knows how to live. Online games with friends is a pretty sweet deal. Why Hana? If it isn't too prying," she said, careful to make sure she wasn't trying to be rude or anything, and was simply curious.

Tsubaki gave a short nod before putting some of the fried pork in the toaster over to warm up. She knew it would be a little more on the crunchy side like when it was fresh compared to how it would end up tossed in the microwave. She grabbed some lettuce from the fridge and started carefully cutting it into thin slices and laying it on the plate on the counter. "Because she was the one tied to my wish," Tsubaki finally said after a pause. "I . . . wanted to save her, make things better for my family. All I succeeded in was making things worse for everyone."

Another pause as she put the lettuce away and started her hunt for sauce. Tonkatsu without sauce was just . . . disappointing to say the least. "Instead of her being sick her whole life and dying, she and one of my sisters, Aiko . . . they were attacked by a Yoma. Aiko hasn't woke up in months and Hana's so fucked up from the whole thing she won't leave the house..." She kept her back to Max the entire time, gripping the counter to try and keep from shaking. "I just wanted to make things better... I wanted everyone to be happy again. But stupid me had to go and make things even worse."

Hot tears stung her eyes before streaking down her face. Why was she even telling Max all of this? She could have just said 'because she was part of the wish' or 'because she'd been attacked by a Yoma' and left it at that. Was it the stress from everything else that was getting to her?

Max frowned and walked over to Tsubaki and put a hand on her shoulder. She wasn't quite sure how to deal with this situation. This was VERY dangerous water. Max was now involved in the creation of more Yoma. In Tsubaki's emotional state, there is a possibility that she'd somehow correlate the two events. Or that she'd use that against her. She wanted to help Tsubaki, she really did, but she had to look out for herself too. She had to tread carefully.

"I don't think there are many magical girls out there who make a wish believing it to be selfish, and even fewer who believe it to be harmful. Every magical girl makes the same mistake. We all believe we're helping, but we end up hurting. That's the unfortunate reality of our world. Even myself, who thought through everything carefully and as hard as possible, ended up here." Okay, that's far enough talking about myself. I don't want to prompt her. "I had nothing special or important to wish for, so I had that time. You didn't. You had to save someone you cared about that, and who has time to think straight when that happens?" She squeezed Tsubaki's shoulder a bit. "You shouldn't beat yourself up. Yes, you made a mistake." Max held up her soul gem. "These are here to remind us of that mistake. All magical girls made the same mistake you did. But now, you have the power to make sure what happened to Hana and Aiko never happens to anyone else."

Tsubaki took a slow, shaky breath and tried to brush the tears away. "I know we all are . . . I just, I don't even know anymore." She pulled the tonkatsu from the toaster over and slid it onto the bed of lettuce before passing the plate and bottle of sauce to Max. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have . . . " She shook her head, "It's just been a hell of a day, you know?" Pulling two glasses from the cupboard she poured some lemonade for herself. "Want some? We have water, maybe some pop too if you'd prefer." She took a small sip while waiting for an answer. "Could go to my room if you want, have a pretty decent collection of game if you'd like to play something."

"I'll take the pop," she said with a smile. She put the sauce on the tonkatsu. "Yeah, it's been a hell of a day." She inspected her soul gem. This is just the beginning... When Max heard her offer, she considered making an innuendo to try and lighten the mood, but considered that that might instead make Tsubaki angry, and instead decided to forgo the perfect joke opportunity and just play it safe. Despite having taken on the job of an incubator, in the end Max was still human. She was happy to have made a new friend, and happy to be able to help her new friend. "And... that would be fun." Max took a bite of the tonkatsu and frowned. "Although... you might not want to try any trivia, puzzle, or physics based games. I might have a bit of an unfair advantage."

Yui's brother answers the door with a bite of cake in his mouth and the cake in his hand. "Hello who are you? We arent buying anything if that what you want." Yui's brother answers with.

"Dont be rude to our guest, naozumi." Yui's mother says as she appears. "How may i help you dear."

Tsubaki managed a slight snort, "I don't know, maybe you could actually finish Fire Emblem. I'm horrible at that one for whatever reason." Grabbing a can of pop, she put the pitcher away and motioned for Max to follow. "It's a bit of a mess in here though. Always has been," she plopped down on her bed with her legs crossed. The stage clear screen for Hyrule Warriors was still displayed on the TV.

(I grew up with Nintendo and PS2 so... yeah. :P )

Max walked in and looked around. "Ah, I don't mind the clutter. My bedroom's the same." She then noticed the Hyrule Warriors. "Aw man, you're a Legend of Zelda fan too?! Probably my favorite series around. Oh sure, there are some better individual games, but LOZ is the place to go if you want a consistent, good franchise." She looked at Hyrule Warriors a bit longer. "I wasn't sure if I was gonna be into the whole Dynasty Warriors spin it put, but I actually enjoyed the game." She frowned. "Never finished though."

Tsubaki nodded, relaxing a little once more. "It's not my favorite game by any means. But as far as mindless button mashers go? Pretty good." She shrugged, "Hate when I get stuck playing as Lana though. Don't know what it is about her, just never liked her." She picked up the gamepad from her desk and held it out to Max. The black controller was decorated with the golden royal family crest. Flowing Hylian script served as a decorative border. "Got most of the games if you feel like playing through one. Could probably get through all but Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess in one night."

"I agree with you on Lana. I dunno what it is about her, she isn't really a bad character, but I hate getting stuck as her." Max took the gamepad, and thought if there was another game she wanted before smiling mischievously. "Do you have the digital copy of the original LOZ?"

" I am katja Glinka, a friend of your daughter" Katja said her tone and expression unchanging but at least they wouldn't be able to tell she didn't really consider herself Yui's friend, though she was doing just what a friend would do for some reason. She hadn't been ordered to do this but she was here to talk to Yui , they had planned it but well she didn't have to come someone who didn't care wouldn't have even come. It was odd to say the least. " May i see her, I know she is not in the best mood that is why i came to ... cheer her up" Katja said though the idea of her cheering people up was laughable in itself.

"Nah, don't have the digital." Tsubaki set her glass on the floor before standing and opening a drawer. After a brief moment she held up a teal cartridge. "Got the original though, no Famicom . . . But I found an adapter for my Super Famicom that lets me play it anyway." It was a short game, with both of them knowing their way through it they'd be able to clear it in under a couple hours.
