Arashi was still a little dazed, so new information wasn't easy to fit in. "Tsubaki? Wait, is that tree still running around? That needs to be rectified," she said, getting up a bit slowly. "Let's go," she stated simply, almost regaining her old energy back. Summoning 5 chakra, she gave them no time to be idle as she thrust them straight at the tree, enough energy put forth to slice a few branches off.

Tsubaki nodded, standing and drawing her sword once more. "Five of us should be more than enough to break through ugly's armor." Normally, she would have been shocked seeing that Max had already made a contract. But her mind had been more focused on treating Arashi and now with the battle at hand, the girl just hadn't been left time to process it.

Apparently they would ignore her, that was not what Katja would allow she had been sent to get Arashi and well she was not going to be delicate about it now that her version of diplomacy had failed she would move to force. As she did her servants stopped supporting the others efforts, they were a distraction to gather Arashi not help kill another yoma. Katja stepped back into a rift and vanished though she did not retreat instead she returned to her servants.

" New target, incapacitate by any means but do not kill" Katja said as her servants took up aim not at the yoma but rather at Arashi and fired bolts and bullets filled with crackling electricity.

The electricity did minimal damage but the bullets themselves caught her attention. "And what do you think you're doing?" she snarled, glaring back at Katja. She hadn't the time for this right now. If she wanted to play unfairly, Arashi would just ignore her. She jumped gracefully away, now with her old spunk back. As she did, she kept an eye on Katja, throwing a few chakra as she did at the yoma.

Yui quickly defend arashi by desolving the entire barrier into water and forcing it at katja servant pushing them back. " keep fighting and i freeze your servants solid." Yui didnt understand what was going on and why katja attack arashi. She knew attacking wasnt the answer. " we need to do our job first if arashi doesnt want to leave then you dont have a choice help us."

"What the hell, Katja?" Tsubaki snapped, trying to dodge the Yoma's attacks. A thin branch whipped across her face leaving a thin cut. She winced, feeling blood ooze from the wound. "Well that stings a bit..." In a small form of payback, she managed to slice off the offending branch. It wasn't much int he way of wearing the Yoma down, but it was a minor victory.

"Calm down everyone!" Max said, running over. "We can't get divided. We're magical girls. We have to stick together. Last thing we need is to fight amongst ourselves. We need to trust one another," Max said as she pointedly looked at Katja. "Right Katja?" She continued looking at Katja before taking her knives out and firing a few times at the Yoma.

Katja had more trick up her sleeve and her servants increased the power of their stunning missiles only to be pushed back, she did not care to have the others interfere and if they presented that much of an annoyance she had no qualms about killing them. " I have my orders." Was all Katja said she wasn't anyones' friends, she didn't trust anyone she couldn't she just had her orders and that was all that could even start to matter. " Continue to interfere and i will not hold back " She said before turning her attention to Arashi " You will come with me in one piece or many you only need to be alive" s she said as her servants vanished then appeared else where and took aim once more and fired far more powerful shocking projectiles.

Arashi immediately jumped out of the way, almost anticipating that she wouldn't let up her assault. "Now is not the time for this," she growled, tossing several chakra at Katja and her servants. Her attention diverted, the tree once again swung at her head on, causing her to fly into a nearby building. After she fell, she got up, though obviously hurt and in no condition to fight any longer. Two severely dangerous hits was not going to bode well for her physical strength.

Max ran over to Arashi and helped her up. "Are you alright? Your soul gem not cracked?" Max said, checking over her. She needed to make a good impression, she thought as she looked at Katja. I know what you're up to, but so soon? Kyubey, you have THAT little faith in me?

"Shit," Tsubaki growled, racing to cover Arashi. She managed to remove a few more branches along the way. Siding in front of Arashi and Max, she held up her sword. "You alright?" She couldn't afford to glance back, "I wouldn't hold it against you if you sat the rest of this out. You've-" Another branch cut, one more deflected. "Tch, damn thing won't let up. Why is it so focused on you anyway?"

Arashi grunted. "Hell if I know. Why is psycho bitch so focused on me?" she replied, breathing to try to regain her strength. "I'm fine," she declared, standing up and summoning a rain cloud. As she did, it brought with it rolling thunder and a severe gust of wind, obviously fueled by her rage. As it quickly blew in, lightening struck often, yet sporadic. Heavy rain was on the horizon, blowing near horizontally from all the wind.

" wait how much water has this thing taken in? I hit it with a couple. If we could get more in it might have a plan to end this now. Of course max might guess this but flooding the yoma and then freezing it can cause it to become a giant ice statue. Tsubaki can then shatter it."

Katja had thought to swoop in at take Arashi now that she was hurt, but that did not happen as the others had gone to her faster. If Katja could be annoyed she would be so now, the tree yoma was proving to much she would just have to end this now. She was to bring her back swiftly as swiftly as possible if that meant she had to fight a fight that she could have avoided then it seemed she would just have to redefine as fast as possible. There was one way she knew how to defeat the yoma though it woudl mean only abotu three seeds were given. Katja directed a rift to form not around the yoma or to block any attacks, but instead inside the yoma. The rift cut thought the yoma's body as Katja forced her rift to expand and grow larger and large till it cut the yoma in half sideways as vertical was to big, but still she had bisected the yoma. The yoma quickly started to dissolve once it seemed to realize it was dead. Katja did not do this often as it quickly blackened her soul gem leaving it near pitch black. She could clean it latter but for now they could hand over her target. The yoma slowly disolved into a flower that was cut in half leaving only 3 seeds.

Katja opened another rift to the group of girls " There the Yoma is dead you will come with me now" She said her soul gem blackened and on display.

Arashi's storm still came as the lightening zapped across her eyes. With the yoma dead, she focused her emotions on the other assailant. The rain hit the area, pelting everyone with large drops of high velocity water. Lightening struck all around, reflecting her anger inside. "I don't think so," she replied coldly, but not particularly wanting to make a move right at that moment.

Yui not thinking about herself blocks the lightning with her water. Part of it still touching the ground beneath yui. " stoppp!" It throws yui to the ground knock her out could.

Max ran and picked up a grief seed before walking over to Katja and giving her one. "You dying here serves no purpose," she said. She leaned in. "I don't know why the incubator wants me out of the picture so soon, but you can tell him it isn't necessary. I'm helping him. No need to turn the others on me," She whispered to Katja. She then turned and ran to Yui, who was now unconscious, and began considering whether she should stimulate the soul gem. On the one hand, that would give her away. But eh, what did she care? Max picked up Yui's soul gem and examined it for a moment before touching it. The soul gem glowed for a bit as Max began stimulating it. Yui should wake up any moment now.

" For now you are only for now " Katja said with no cruelty or malice simply the facts as she saw them. Kuybey had told her abotu the threat max could be and why she would need another to help her shoudl the worst happen " You could easily become far worse than him, if your humanity erodes " She continued before looking to Arashi. Kuybey had apparently expected this as he had given her something to say should she fail, which apparently he thought she could and now she knew she would. She could make good on her threats but she woudl die before she got to far and the Beltne was coming and that apparently needed more than just here.

" Very well if you will not come and it seems i can not force you to come with me , I have a message for all of you from Kyubey " she said as if there were no hostilities " He is leaving this city and will only come to get Grief seeds, from now on should we want any questions or orders we can god to Max that is all" She said kyubey had left out the grief seed part as that was a private conversation for those that knew about it already.

The lightening started to be more uniform and further away, but nothing else changed. "And why did this require you to openly attack me?" she demanded, glaring at Katja. The news itself rather pleased her, but the means did not justify the end in her mind.

" Because there is something Kuybey wanted to talk to you with in private, you would not come and i was told to bring you as fast as possible, simply removing you from the fight and returning you afterwards was the fastest way and the only way to do that was to knock you out" Katja explained simply as if she had done nothing wrong as she didn't really see what had happened as being wrong she was just following orders.

"Really?" Max said, looking away from Yui for a moment to look at Katja, hand still on the soul gem as she awaited Yui to wake up. "That's it? I was gonna tell them that anyway you know. The Incubator told me to tell them that when we last spoke. I mean, I know that's not IT it, but seriously, you're gonna end with something I was going to tell them anyway?"

Tsubaki frowned, sheathing her blade as the fighting finally seemed to calm down. "Katja, things really aren't as simple as you make them to be. Really, if you'd waited for Arashi to wake up and let us know what was going on that whole fight probably could have been avoided." She sighed, wiping some of the blood away from her cheek. "So you went and made a contract so soon then, huh?" The girl almost sounded disappointed as she looked to Max. "Care to fill us in on what's going on, since you're apparently Kyubey's replacement?"

Max grinned and nodded, hand still on Yui's soul gem. "So, I made a contract for knowledge about all things involving the magical girl world, among a few other things that got dropped during negotiations. I thought the wish through, every loophole covered, every misinterpretation clarified." Except one glaring one. Max frowned a bit at that. "Only problem is, I didn't realize how significant that wish was, and I thought it through TOO well. It HAD to be granted in full force, no way around that. Only problem is, that's a LOT. Like, karmic-debt-would-cause-near-armageddon alot. So, in return for NOT wiping out an entire continent, Kybuey instead gave me a smaller curse, and since I know have the knowledge of the incubators, has essentially made me into one. He's worried I'll screw something up bad though, so they retreated from the city and left Katja in charge of watching over me. I imagine Kyubey's trying to get in contact with Arashi to try to turn her against me, so he has more things leveled against me in case I go bad or whatever." Max grinned.

"So basically, you can think of me as the first Magical-Girl/Incubator hybrid," she said. "Don't worry though, I'm still totally chill."

Tsubaki listened in silence, her arms crossed in front of her. "That's a hell of a wish . . . " She muttered, shaking her head. Sighing, one of her hands rested on the hilt of her sword. This revelation brought up a lot of questions, not to mention some concerns of her own on the matter. But she needed some time to think it over before asking anything. Still dealing with two separate timelines made getting thoughts straight difficult at times. "I guess as long as you keep your emotions in tact, things shouldn't be too bad."

"Yup!" Max said, enthusiastically. "Good thing that was part of my wish. So everything should be good."
