Psycho Love~

Waking up in her semi-modern, one bedroom one bath apartment, Maggie had slowly sat up. Yawning to herself and she scratched her head and pulled the covers off of her to get out of bed. As her feet had touched the cold, creaky brown floor, she felt chills roll down her spine as she shivered to herself. Getting up now, she walked over to her bathroom to wake up in the shower and brush her teeth. She kept her the blinds to the windows closed, she preferred the dark when she was going to sleep and waking up. Finally, she entered her shower feeling the steam and the hot water roll down the sides of her shoulders and down her back. She had washed her hair and brushed her teeth.

As time passed by, she finished her shower and was getting dressed to go to the Record Store as usual. She loved going in the backroom to pick out the music to play. Maggie had chose and skirt with striped leggings, and a long-sleeved shirt with a crop top over that. She put her bag over her shoulder and headed out the door with her high-tops. Entering inside, she greeted her boss smiling and got ready to start he shift. "In another two weeks, I might be able to get that house Sal." She told her boss. "Alright, just keep up the good work. Maybe you might get a raise..maybe not." He laughed. Maggie had giggled and put her bag in the locker that was provided, she then rushed in the backroom and picked a song. Already knowing that this day wasn't going to be so bad.

Sleeping was something unusual for Riley, he would always take sleep medications to sleep, however last night he didn’t take them. He hated them, they gave him a feeling like he dizzy, however in some why he’s not. Fortunately, his father could mindless in the event that he would rest or not. During the nights when doesn’t sleep, he'll simply sit in his window seat, gazing at the stars. Something about stars interest him, they burn so bright, even if they died. Riley noticed it was morning when he saw the stars faded away. He got up to go to the bathroom to take his morning shower and brush his teeth. Although, he has a dark personality, his room is not so nearly dark, not even his house.

After his normal hygiene route, he had chosen to wear a ‘Normal people scare me’ shirt, black jeans and black converses. His dad groans when Riley came down stairs, Riley was unfit to work so he had to live under his father’s roof. “Hey, Killer, how about you go check this stupid town out.” His father slurred, showing he was clearly drunk. Riley nods, leaving through the first door; he barely spoke to his father out of fear. He ended up in town, seeing a Record shop as he entered. He looked around, it was modern looking yet it kind of had an old style feeling to it.

Finally, Maggie had then left the radio room after choosing some tracks for the day. She started humming the words as Sal started nodding his head and tapping his foot. He chuckled,

"You're in for a good old song. Nice choice as always Maggie." He said. Once they saw man enter with a funny shirt, both of them smiled for it to be welcoming.

"Hey. Welcome to Rockstar's Dream. Are you looking for a specific song or album..?" Sal asked.

Maggie had giggled to herself, his shirt was cool even though she's seen it a couple times already. However, this guy looked so different. She's never seen him in town before and his face...he looked like the type of guy that would be a business man yet, he had come in the store with regular clothes. He was good-looking but Maggie wasn't the type to just start complimenting and flirting with guys she never knew they existed.

“Not really. Just looking.” Riley told the man.

Riley saw a young lady; she was pretty, but maybe she will be like the others humans who will push him away even if he wanted just a friend. He did fantasize of killing people he liked to a better place than this shit place. Riley went along to the rows of music and went to the heavy metal section, he wasn't a big fan of music but it beats being with his father.

As Maggie was just looking around, she saw the man looking at the Metal Section. She was on the other side and smiled at him.

"Hey, if you're for something good and old, try...Black Sabbath. If you like new kinds of metal, Five Finger Death Punch or Color The Morale is pretty good. Just if you want any suggestions." She said, smiling as she looked down at the music she was looking for.

Maggie was only glancing at the music but also checking the stacks of music to find out what music was needed or what they could discard. She had looked up and down the rows, scanning them as he eyes shifted from each small row to row.

“Anymore suggestions of good and old types of metal?” Riley asked. Riley didn’t know if he should buy some disc or not. He was not allowed so much music anyways at home, his father always has headaches from drinking. Although, He couldn’t just leave without buying something. He glances up at the nice lady. ‘I should keep this kindness for as long as I can.’ He thinks to himself.

"Ah...Aerosmith is good. Iron Maiden..and Jerusalem. For the old ones of course..! For new ones, I'd say Of Mice and Men, Bring Me the Horizon, or Blood on the Dance Floor. The last choice isn't one that I'd probably pick out of those three though. But I'll throw it out there just in case you want to listen to them!" Maggie said, looking back up at the man. "Say..are you new here? I haven't seen you here before or in town really. I just like knowing new people and seeing new faces." She said, grinning widely at him in a soft way.

“Yeah, I moved here about 3 days ago.” Riley admitted, he still questions why a girl was so nice, mostly to him. “How much is each album?” Riley asked her. He may be old style in this new age of almost everything, except it's better than most guys these days are idiots and only wants what’s in girl pants. Riley was from a little town called Healdsburg, California. He is English, assume to be born in England however his parents were on vacation even he was born. He did have a thick English accent, caused by his father talking to him with the accent. Although, some certain words, Riley would say it in an American accent.

As Riley had looked over the albums, Maggie spoke. "Each album costs from roughly three to five dollars. Plus tax. So go crazy." She said, giggling. Maggie had heard his accent and smiled, she liked accents. It made other people unique then just not having an accent at all. However, some accents were better than others. Maggie liked accents where you could understand a person instead of having to guess what they say since their accent is so heavy and they language is completely different from American language.

“Okay.” Riley needed to purchase something or he appears as though he was going to steal something. He would if the young lady wasn't there, definitely, he realizes that is its wrong, however, he just can’t help it. Riley blushed hearing the girl giggle, something about her giggle made him cozy inside. Something abnormal to him, he couldn't explain it, yet it was pleasant at the same times. Is it crazy? Just met a person and you really feel happy with them. What is this feeling? The thought went through his head. He picked up an album of Black Sabbath, needing to purchase it, yet uncertain about it.

Sal had been filling out paperwork about the business, he was tapping his finger on the desk and bobbing his head to the music. He liked it when Maggie would interact with customers. Somehow every time she would talk to a customer, she would always get them to purchase something instead of looking around and buying nothing. Maggie had written down on her notepad about albums they needed. She had moved little by little, checking the items and putting x-marks next to ones they didn't need.

The Beetles: Abbey Road ✔

Led Zeppelin: Mothership ✔

Ozzy Osbourne: Blizzard of Oz ✘

Riley took out his wallet seeing he has roughy 20 bucks. Ok, the album was 4.99 with taxes it would be 5 bucks. He would have 15 bucks for KFC dinner. Riley fathers worked as a banker, his dad usually only drinks when he doesn't have work the next day. His father was heavy drink, made Riley really worried, it's crazy for him to love a abusive father. Riley walked to the cash register, wanting to just buy the album and go eat.

Maggie had watched the man as he walked up to the cash register. She smiled. "He's cute." She said to herself. She saw the album he was going to buy. It was a good choice to get. Maggie had smiled as she continued writing down more albums they needed, had, or had to discard.

Riley smiles at Sal, as he gave him the Album and 5 bucks to pay for it. All he needed is to get the receipt and leave. Hoping he was not suspected to be thief, he always gets caught, but his dad had to pay the price, then he later does too. Riley seemed nervous and in a hurry, he couldn't help it, he had to take care of his dad and he was hungry himself. His only hope and wish that his smile wouldn't cause him to be suspicious and get him in trouble.

Riley wasn't stealing anything at this moment; he didn't know why he was acting all nervous, it wasn't any normal day nervousness. Was he too used to being nervous and in a hurry? Maybe, Riley should calm down on stealing; sometimes he would steal something without noticing. He wasa psychopath, when did he ever noticed anything. Maybe when he have the urge to kill someone or when he check out a hot girl.

Sal had looked at the man. He felt a bit suspicious about him but didn't worry. There were cameras and a metal detector at the door so he would get caught if he was stealing something in an instant Anyway, Sal had ripped the receipt from the small printer. Then he handed it to him. Sal nodded his head as a form of goodbye. Maggie had looked up and smiled. "Hope you like my recommendation..!" She said as he left, giggling.

Riley grabs his CD and receipt then walks out the shop. He was glad no system went off or anything like that. Riley walks towards where KFC was, he felt the sunshine on his face and the wind messing up his hair. He just hated that the wind would always mess up his hair. Did the wind have any respect? Riley remembers a happy childhood moment, when he was at the beach and his laughing and smiles. If only he was a child again, you never notice anything wrong with the world, everything so beautiful. Riley enters KCF, just wanting to buy the meal and go home.

Maggie had watched the man leave. She smiled. "He was cute." She said looking over at Sal. "To you, I think right now...You need to work and if you're going to be with someone..They need to help support you and themselves." He said giving his advice, chuckling a little. Maggie shook her head and scoffed while she laughed. "I only said he was cute, it's not like I'm asking you to marry us off." She said laughing as she finished checking everything.

Riley enters KFC, ordering the family meal, and leaves, going home with it. He couldn’t stop thinking about the girl, she was beautiful and finally someone who treated him normally. He longed to feel normal, just once, the medication made him somewhat depressed. Not suicidal depressed, he just wished to run away and live a normal life. He enters his home, setting the food on the table of his kitchen, and ran upstairs to listen to his music through his earbuds.

Maggie had then yawned to herself. "Sal, can I please go early? Or how 'bout this: Can I treat you to lunch and we close the place early? It's a slow day honestly.." She walked over towards him and asked him. Sal sighed. "...Fine. We can go, tomorrow we are just going to open at lunchtime and close tomorrow night. Alright?" He said, coming out of the side of the desk then heading towards the front door. Maggie nodded her head. "Yea, just tired today." She said.

Riley felt as if the music was bringing him to another world, a world without mercy and sorrow. If only the world never had mercy and sorrow, though it’s more like the people. Some people never end up with mercy or sorrow, yet some others do. Something brought Riley back from his beautiful world that he could barely reach from his fingertips. His dad was calling Riley to come down stairs. Riley quickly hid his music and went downstairs to meet his dad. “You will have to find a job tomorrow or so, got it!” His dad said harshly more than he intended to. His dad did abused him when he was young, but his father now doesn’t mean to be like that man he once was, he saw his wrong when Riley went to the mental hospital.

Maggie and Sal walked along the streets and went to their usual place to get some burgers. Since Sal closed work early, Maggie would pay of course. They both just talked about work and how a new ship meant of music would come in next week. Maggie was excited about that since she loved music.
