- Providence AcademyCongratulations!
On behalf of Providence Academy, I am happy to congratulate you on your child'sacceptanceinto our prestigious boarding academy.
This school is built on thebonds of relationships. Just like yours, our institution is full of children who have not yet met the soulmate(s) they have been bound to at birth. Students may close this gap whilemerely roaming our halls, and will build lasting connections with one another to help them flourish both in academics and in life. We cannot wait to celebrate alongside you as your child blossoms and meets their beautiful fate that is awaiting before them.
Welcome to Providence Academy!
Sincerely,
Candis Valor
Director of Admissions
Providence Academy is a romance, drama, and slice-of-life roleplay taking place in a world wheresoulmates are a finite existence. The Academy our characters will be attending is made specifically to accept students based on their soulmates so they can meet while attending school.
Soulmates are identified by strings wrapped around one’s ring fingerat birth. However, you aren’t able to see it until you are in reasonable proximity to your soulmate. The first words you say to your soulmate will be etched into their arm, and soulmates will feel tinging sensations when close to one another and beinstinctually compelledto look in their direction. There are also different types of strings, and each of them vary in color:
Redrepresents current soulmates.Whiterepresents those who were soulmates in a past life.Bluerepresents those who will be soulmates in the future.Blackrepresents soulmates who cut their thread, either in a previous life or a current one.
People are only able to see their own string in this world, but there are a select few who are born with the ability to see the strings of others—they are calledseers.
Seers are essentiallysugar-free cupids. They are able to cut the strings of soulmates and separate their fates, which can even result in soulmates forgetting one another; there is always a three-day period in which these strings can be re-tied, however.
They also have the ability to create strings:
Purplethreads are artificial and represent a connection made by a seer rather than by fate. It functions like a normal thread that brings soulmates together, however, can be removed easier--unlike normal threads, purple threads are able to becut by those it ties together. It can also break on its own if the couple drifts apart too quickly. Purple threads appear as red to everyone other than the seer who created them, including to fellow seers.
Although seers can have their own soulmates,it is generally unlikely; similar how unlikely it is for someone to naturally be born without a soulmate. In this roleplay, all teachers will be seers, but certain students may be seers, as well. Keep your eyes peeled! - Providence AcademyUniforms
The uniform for Providence Academy isrequired attirewhen attending classes. There are two editions available for students to wear.
The first edition includes a white button up shirt, gray slacks, a matching navy blue jacket, and a red necktie. The first edition issimilar to the first, with a white button up shirt and a navy blue jacket, but instead of slacks, students wear gray skirts that reach a bit above the knee, and instead of a necktie, students wear a red bowtie.
The jacket for both editions of the uniform must be purchased through the academy as it isunique to Providence; the official jacket includes the school's crest embroidered on the upper left corner. Although there is no standard shoe for either uniform, footwear must be close-toed and the heel may not exceed two inches.
An example of our uniform can be foundhere.
