Now we're to the good shit.
First off, Work in progress CSs are not allowed. I see it, I delete it. Why? The clutter annoys me and 9 times outta 10, they're never finished.
Second, it must be reasonable and appealing to look at. Meaning you don't need to use extensive code or really any at all. But if you don't bother bolding the different fields or just give me a disgusting mass of text, chances are it's going to take much longer to get your CS approved.
Third, powers and abilities.
Oh boy.
Let's make a list.
- Don't just give me a basic, half-assed Iron Man or Black Widow copyright infringed POS. Originality is kinda a thing.
- Powers don't need to be all encompassing and your character will most likely not be prepared for every scenario. This is normal.
- If you use an overdone ability such as being combined with an animal of some sort, give it a special, unique twist that makes it not as dull and cliche.
- This isn't a fantasy roleplay, meaning I want a scientific explanation as to why they have what they have, even if you're spewing pure impossible bullshit everywhere. Meaning I'm unlikely to accept aliens or anything classified as "magic" seeing as they are simple copouts.
- If playing a teen, remember that their power is not going to be genetic so they will have had no formal training on what he hell they're doing. So they shouldn't have full understanding and or control of it, or hell, maybe they don't even know what caused it or that they have it yet.
- Your character doesn't have to necessarily have an ability but be in peak human condition such as an insane IQ or extreme physical conditioning. However, I want a reasoning for it.
- I recommend the Superpower Wiki to find a power of some sort.
- Powers that have to do with Omni-anything, time and or space, mind control/the manipulation of another person, and absoute shapeshifting are automatically off limits.
Fourth and finally, let me clear up some of the tropes I want avoided within these characters.
- Not all superheroes' parents are dead, missing, what have you or are their abilities brought on by some form of physical or mental abuse. They could have had the utmost perfect and normal life before gaining their powers. That is fine.
- Gray moral areas exist. Not everyone is a purely good and vice versa. Maybe they want to keep their abilities from the public/cure themselves and have a normal life. Maybe they want to use them to save themselves and their family which might seem wrong to everyone else but is necessary to them. Or they could just be a self-righteous ass with a soft spot for kittens.
- If your character is literally as edgy as Zendaya was in homecoming, they aren't being accepted.
- Trust me, having contradictory powers such as flight and they're afraid of heights is funny an all, but no one wants a sobbing mess of someone who can manipulate fire, and they think their a accursed demon who should rot in hell for all eternity because their extremely religious parents kicked them out.
- Common sense is key~
