Rules

• No godmodding, bunnying, or metagaming. This most definitely includes killing off someone’s character without permission.
• Rejected Character Types:
  - gods, demigods, death gods, etc
  - anyone with the power to manipulate time, space or reality
  - psychopaths, sociopaths or anyone that seems too dangerous to have around kids (this also goes for most severe mental disorders)
  - anyone who cannot control their powers (no berserkers)
• You are allowed to make student NPCs but your main must be a staff member.
• I only ask that your posts be comprehensible. We should be able to tell what your character is saying and doing.

Roles

• History - teaches the history of monsters as well as highlights the current social situation of monsters
• Intro To General Magic - teaches the basics of magic and mana, and the ethics of magic use
• Care of Magical Creatures - teaches about feral (nonsentient) monsters and how one should approach and treat them
• Transformations - teaches beastshifters (werewolves, and the like) how to control their transformations
• Biology - teaches the biology of sentient monster races

• Magical Artifacts - teaches about magic and cursed artifacts and how to handle them
• Librarian - takes care of the library and guards the forbidden archives against students or unauthorized personnel

Name: Juniper Harthwind

Age: 27

Race: Half Pixie

Role: Intro to General Magic

Personality:

Abilities:
-Being a half pixie but half human, Juniper can not fly (she wasn't that lucky) but can sense magic and enchantments. Less of knowing what something is exactly, rather than detecting it. It makes it quite useful when students are attempting to cast illusions on their homework to make it seem complete.
-Is a very adept spell caster. She can't exactly meet the standards of Grand Orders of Mages, but she graduated from a pretty okay community college with a major in Evocation and a Minor in Enchantment.
-Being smaller and a different biology than humans, she can drink coffee (something pixie's wouldn't be able to handle) and have twice the effect from the caffeine (there's a lot of late nights at the academy).

Equipment:
-A small oaken staff she uses as a catalyst for casting
-Several books that possess Pixie origin magic that were given as graduation gifts
-2 or so Journals of handwritten spells that are her personal favorites.

Name: Lelia Siran
Age: 26
Race: phoenix
Role: nurse

Appearance:
Lelia is short, only 5'2", with pale skin and a pear-shaped figure. Her face is youthful, complete with soft squishy cheeks, but has a mostly deadpan expression. She isn't void of emotion but it's hard for her to emote well, especially when she has to fake it. Most assume she is either miserable or angry at them due to her dead-looking blue eyes and natural frown. She is aware of how uncomfortable her face may make some, so in an attempt to counter it, she carries various cartoonish emote masks to help alleviate the situation. It doesn't always work.

Her curly hair is a dark bluish color, darker at the ends, and cut at a medium length. Sometimes she likes to try to put it up, but it's usually just short enough to look a bit silly. She has a complex about her wide hips and legs, significantly thicker than her noodle arms due to muscle. Her hands are calloused with small healing scars, particularly around the knuckles.

Personality:
Due to her face, Lelia comes off as a no-nonsense, overly serious individual. She barely participates in idle conversations and talks in a low voice, usually opting to do her job as quickly as possible. In actuality though, she's incredibly awkward. Someone who often stumbles on her words and isn't the brightest when it comes to picking up on social cues or how to act in social situations. Something generally made worse by her difficulty at faking expressions and generally sarcastic tone.

She is caring and doesn't like to see people get hurt. However, she isn't the type to unconditionally want to heal everyone and is actually incredibly petty and critical when it comes to how someone has become injured. If she believes you did something incredibly stupid or are overreacting, she will still help you but can either be very passive aggressive about it or opt to use normal medical means if it's not that bad. Maybe even spray the anti-septic a little too long. SHe can have a bit of a temper but that mostly manifests in pettiness.

Lelia also a huge dork for games and anime. Her room is full of games and merchandise. She particularly plays a lot of violent action games and dating sims. Both of which apparently allows her to dream of a "better life."

Abilities:

• Fire Magic - Lelia's magic allows her to manipulate fire. This includes creating flames from her body under ideal circumstances (ex. not in the rain), control the movements and size of existing fire, healing with flames and turning her body into flames. Her flames lack the offensive power in comparison with fire magic users who specialize in attack, but she has better control and creativity with its shape and movements.
• Healing Magic - Lelia is a skilled healer and was considered the best in her class. Capable of healing injuries, regenerate minor wounds and cure poisons. She can't do anything about diseases or regenerate body parts that are not fresh. Her healing magic comes in the form of fire and does produce a heat. She can control it enough so that it feels like an immense warmth, but if she is being petty, she may let it hurt just a little.
• Phoenix Physiology - Due to her phoenix blood, Lelia has a powerful self-healing factor, capable of regeneration. It's a somewhat slow and very painful process though. She describes it as feeling as if she is constantly on fire as her body rebuilds itself. Visually it looks like a burning cigarette but in reverse. She is also capable of turning into a flaming bird and thus, flying as well. She can't do this in water or rain though. Heavy snow either.
• Strong Legs - Nothing magic here. Just some muscle. She can kick pretty hard but is slow due to its mass.

Equipment:

• Syringe Gun - Just used to inject drugs in a quicker manner than a normal syringe. Looks similar to a piercing gun.
• First Aid Kit
• Nico - (I guess pets count?) A water slime. Cool to the touch. Much squish. Much stupid. Doesn't do much at all.
• Various Emote Masks on Sticks

Background:
Lelia's childhood isn't much to talk about. She was the eldest of her sisters but was born with the seemingly weakest flame. Due to that, not much was expected of her. Most of her family's attention was placed on her sisters who had hotter, stronger fires. Still, she made the best of what she could, especially when it was discovered that she had a higher healing factor than her sisters. Her plan, or rather her family's plan, was for her to become a military doctor for her tribe.

She seemed to be doing well for herself until she had used her powers on a human child. She didn't do anything too flashy. Only took care of a minor case of carbon monoxide poison. No human, not even the child, had known of what she had done, however, her actions were considered highly dangerous for her community. And while she did understand where they were coming from, hearing her superiors chew her out in front of the others angered her. So she punched him in the face, which, understandably got her fired and blacklisted from most healing organizations. She apologized multiple times but it was pointless.

The only job she was able to find after that was as a school nurse at Prometheus Prep.

Other:

• Even though she is a phoenix, Lelia can't handle heat very well, even her own. Due to that, her room and the infirmary is always kept cold. She also has a pet water slime that she snuggles to cool off when needed. His name is Nico.
• She has a weakness for "derpy dogs." Silly dog videos or memes always make her laugh.
• Lelia is a very weak swimmer. She likes water but tenses up too much when submerged to actually float. She's basically useless in water in all senses.

Name: Illiana Eteri

Age: 25

Race: Elf

Role: Librarian

Appearance: She is roughly 5'8" with a fit hourglass build. She has soft grey eyes, red wavy hair that reaches just above her bottom (she usually wears her hair in a braid), pointed ears, freckles & lightly tanned skin. More often than not she wears comfortable and flowy clothing, most commonly she wears a tan sundress, white cardigan, an amethyst necklace, and strap-up flats. (Unless they have to wear uniforms and such then I will adjust accordingly)

Personality: She’s shy and kind when you first meet her but when she opens up she’s funny, a little obnoxious, and loves to be overdramatic. She’s a bit of an airhead sometimes and spaces out or daydreams, which makes her exceedingly clumsy. She is very studious, which is why she chose to work in the library and prefers to be around people she knows she can trust. She hates being alone and is afraid of the dark and is sensitive to loud noises and people yelling or being angry, she doesn't do well with conflict The kids tend to be rude and obnoxious to her due to her quiet nature, but she knows how to deal with them.


Abilities:

• Heightened Hearing and Sight - She can hear from ~70ft away and can see clearly from ~40ft in front of her (This is roughly average for Elves)
• Air Manipulation- She can control the air around her; use it to pick things up, move them around, create wind, etc.

Equipment:

• She carries around a small, tan purse that holds her wand, money, keys, etc.
• Piles upon piles of notebooks where she writes (but never finishes) different stories
• Wand to help her control her abilities

Background: Since she was a child Illiana has been more meek and quiet. She is an only child that was adopted by two human parents that found her when she was 7 roaming the streets on her own. It is unknown what happened to her real parents but she does not seem to openly care anymore seeing as they didn't care for her much anyway. It took her a while to trust her new parents but eventually, she treated them as her own.

She excelled in school and managed to work her way through college and earned a degree in creative writing with a goal to publish a book of her own one day. She has always been passionate about reading and writing, hence why she works as a librarian and wants to encourage kids to appreciate it as much as she does.

Other:

• She loves stormy weather and rain
• She will often find unique names to call the library. i.e: her "home", "The Sanctum of Knowledge", "Paradise of the overly intelligent", "That One Place with the Dead Trees that we Hallucinate with", etc.
• If she is around her friends she will most likely chime into conversations with some sort of ridiculous joke or pun, eager to make her peers groan with feigned annoyance or disappointment

(Sorry this is short I’m pretty busy at the moment)

Name: Patch(real name unknown by people)

Age: claims to be 30

Race: Scarecrow(spirit/entity that possessed it)

Role: Magic/Cursed artifacts

Appearance: jack o lantern carved head, body made of gnarled sticks and limbs, smoke sometimes rises from his eyes and mouth

Personality: kind of a smart ass, but generally likes teaching people, as long as they cooperate, and for the love of god, DONT call him anything derogatory. He’s happy to help with any runes or seals that need cracking.

Abilities: is able to breath fire, and can phase though walls/floors

Equipment: possesses a sort of hat blade(like the guy from Mortal Kombat) that can be used as a melee or projectile weapon, with deadly accuracy. It always seems to come back to him, so rumors have began that he is tied to it magically or spiritually

Background: Not much is known of the entity known only as Patch. He just showed up one day, with an almost extraordinary knowledge of magical artifacts and runes. It’s rumored he was once a member of a civilization lost to time, which could explain his knowledge of historical artifacts. Others say he was but a farmer who happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Either way, his soul is clearly not at rest, as he had possessed the body of a scarecrow. Maybe someday his roots will be revealed, either by him, or the one that turned him into what he is today.

-has a sort of fascination with certain artifacts, and searches for them constantly
-is multilingual and has vast knowledge of ancient language/cultures
