Ivy is the diplomat of the group. She's able to put herself in other's shoes and see things through another person's point of view. She's the one that always want to make things right and have balance and harmony in life, her surroundings and the lives of the people close to her. History:

Ivy was born and raised in Fullerton, California to a loving father and mother. She was raised with tea parties with mommy and game days with her father, her brother and her having a very sibling-bully-protective relationship. She maintained AB honor roll through high school into college, and was captain of her Key Club as well as a spelling bee finalist in Cali. She tan track competitively, as her involvement in academic and extracurriculars granted her a scholarship to UCLA where she studies Biochemistry. On the outside she looks fierce, but her timid yet quietly wise aura does not match her looks. Her confidence lacks but one would never know because of her elusive an drew mysterious nature. It would take a real investment to find out what Ivy is truly all about. She fell in love with pop culture growing up playing games with her brother and father. She started to read comics and anime and get into the fictional movies and shows as well. In college, she met her current group of friends from their different walks of life and they all became a tight knit little group. It was for this very reason they got the chance of a lifetime to travel with her to a private getaway vacation free of charge, Project Tourizzem. She told all her friends the news, some were thrilled while others were a bit skeptical, but nonetheless, they were all ready for the adventure of a lifetime. And that's exactly what was waiting for them.

You know when you watch a movie and the main character is a high schooler, and they’ve got that really cool older sibling that they look up to? That’s David Furukawa. He’s cool, he’s funny, he’s charismatic, and, most importantly, he can be a huge pain in the ass.

His confidence is a plus in most situations, earning him the respect of his peers and people of interest. But at other times, it can turn into an obnoxious trait that makes him reckless and cocky. At these times, he hardly listens to reason and often exasperates the people around him.

Along with this confidence comes a bit of aggression. He’s not one to shy away from a confrontation, either verbal or physical. Additionally, his affection can often take the form of tough love. His worry for someone might manifest as anger and scolding. This can cause him to be misunderstood at times.

At the end of the day, though, Dave has a strong moral code and is an honorable man. He does his best to do the right thing, to improve himself and strengthen his weaknesses, and to protect and care for those around him.

History

David was born in Misawa, Japan, to a Guatemalan mother (a librarian) and a Japanese father (an audio engineer). He lived there up until age 5, when they moved to Misawa's American sister city, Wenatchee, WA. He grew up with a younger twin brother and sister, who were born 4 years after he was. His family values are incredibly strong, and though he is more distanced from them now that he's been out of the house for a while, he loves and cherishes his family immensely.

He taught himself the instruments he plays, with encouragement (and financial support) from his parents, starting a band in middle school with a few of his friends. This band didn't last, and neither did the three others he started from middle school through high school. His musical aspirations were a little different from his bandmates', who were often after fame, money, attention, or sticking to a single genre.

He graduated with high school 3.6 GPA, promptly applying to and being accepted to the University of Washington's Musicology and Music Theory program. During his first year, he started the first band that he really sensed a future with, Beowulf and the Astronauts (or The Astronauts for short). They’ve put out plenty of songs, some of which have become small hits in some underground and indie communities. They’re not anywhere near superstardom, but they’ve managed to make a buck or two playing gigs here and there. David doesn’t know where it might lead, but he’s happy with it.

Last summer, Dave met Ivy when he was visiting his cousin, Fatima Guerrero, who attends UCLA and is on the Track & Field team.

Zoé (Zoey for english speakers) is the person who does all the work in a group project and sometimes even enjoys it. Her brain is constantly working on a new idea, but sometimes she lacks the patience to lead it to its end. The young girl guides new employees at the coffee where she works, the Blue Mountain. However, will not force anyone to listen. In fact, she lacks of charisma and prefer to stay in the shadow of a leader. Zoey uses creepy humour and snarky remarks to hide her feelings. She is wary of others (you have to prove yourself before she can trust you) but will never let someone that she likes in trouble. She is not rude, but you like her or you don’t. This student can cope on her own if it is in hope to join someone else, but prefers to be in a group.

History:

Zoé was born in Lorraine in the suburbs. Her parents divorced when she was 8, leaving her and her two younger sisters in the custody of their father. She quickly took the role of the mom, sometimes neglecting her friends at her sisters benefit. Instead, the little girl fell in love with art, books and Marvel (Deadpool is her favorite character, with the Joker not far behind). Victim of bullying at high school, she adopted her snarky attitude. At university, her autonomy gives her an edge on others and allow her to have pretty good grades. She is not a loner anymore, but still thinks that a lot of people are dumb. She was convinced by Ivy, whom she met in high school, to join the Project Tourizzem and can’t wait to see the place.

Persona: Ian's favorite thing to do is to help others. He is happiest when others are happy, and is always looking to please. He wasn't always that way. Ian suffers from depression and fights it by making others happy. Unfortunately this often leads to him putting others wants or needs above his own which can be bad for his own health. Ian can also be a martyr; he is willing to risk his own life for the sake of someone else, which is why he thought being a firefighter was the perfect job for him.

Ian also loves to see people smile so he loves to joke around and have fun. In the occasions where he is thinking of himself and not just everyone else he only wants to have fun. If he could he would just goof around and have fun all day every day. He doesn't really like to take anything to seriously which can sometimes get him in trouble. If the people around him are serious however he'll take the hint and shape up quick.

Finally Ian is a thinker. He likes to think about things, and enjoys puzzles. He'll think about something for hours, be it a joke, a puzzle, or even a life mystery. On the other hand this can lead him to overthinking some things. If he's not careful he could overthink something that needs quick reactions more and something could go horribly wrong.

History: Ian was born and raised in a cul-de-sac in California. He had a very normal childhood. He was a little shy but otherwise normal. Had friends, loving parents, good grades, involved in all sorts of activities, etc. In middle school he and several other kids in the cul-de-sac, or the lightbulb as they called it, got together and formed a band. Mostly it was just for fun but they did get to play a couple times for small crowds, mostly it was just talent shows though.

When Ian got to high school he met a girl named Ivy and immediately fell for her. After a couple weeks of pestering and writing love songs for her she finally agreed to a date and they became a couple. They were quite happy together and it seemed like they would be together for a long time. In junior year however one of Ian's band-mates died in a tragic accident. Ian soon developed chronic depression and became withdrawn from most everything. He stopped talking to most people, he wasn't eating much and nothing interested him. It put a strain on the relationship but they still both cared about each other. When graduation rolled around Ivy was going to college but Ian was not. So, at Ian's suggestion they decided to break it off. He didn't want to hurt her and felt that everything he was doing was a disappointment. He also couldn't bear the idea of a long distance relationship, though he only ever gave the long distance reasoning. He's the only one who knows that he felt so useless. Ian has never told anyone about his depression, some people suspect but have no confirmation.

Slowly but surely Ian has been getting his life back on track. He's happier now, but is still prone to depressive episodes. He became a firefighter to help people and combat his disorder. He and Ivy kept in touch and remained close friends, even though Ian never stopped caring for her. He was immediately on board when invited by Ivy for this adventure.

Persona: Walter very much likes to keep himself. He has friends but they are few and he does go out but not as often. Most of his days are spent inside tinkering with his computer or playing video games; sometimes watching movies. He knows how to socialize he just chooses sometimes not too. Even though he is a smart guy intellectually, his lack of large groups of friends or interest in complex social situations can make him quite doubtful or timid. He’s not one to take the first initiative and he’s not one to give out ideas unless asked. He would like to push himself out there more but he worries sometimes in falling back into bad habits.


He is a very smart guy and a problem solver. He spends most of his time on or inside his computer and finds leisurely pleasure in doing something that requires problem solving. His lack of group interaction does make him a little conservative. He prefers people keep their business to themselves and he tends to be cautious of new ideas unless he is sure of them himself.

History: Walter was born and raised in Corvallis, Oregon to a loving mother and father but unfortunately, no siblings. Throughout his childhood he was a quiet child that liked to keep to himself. Teachers suspected him of autism but a child psychologist confirmed that he was an introverted child. He knew how to speak to kids he just chooses not too. His parents sometimes found this difficult to deal with and it has caused some rough patches in their relationship. They would never admit it but Walter knew the truth. For their sake, he did go out more. Sometimes he would feel fine and many other times, he would feel exhausted. Lack of siblings or large groups of friends has made him a little timid and a little self conscious of his actions in some situations.


As he reached 18, he chose to go to Uni at UCLA due to their really great computing programs. He wanted a job doing something that pretty much requires him fiddling with electronics so Networking and Cyber Security seemed like the best choice. He’ll miss his parents and a couple of friends but he found it pretty easy to move to sunny California. It wasn’t a tough decision for him.


He had no friends to begin with at UCLA but this never phased him. He was used to being alone for long periods of time so he let cruised by month by month, focusing on his work. He eventually ended up meeting Ivy in the College cafeteria where they bonded over a mutual love of video games. Walter found her high energy engaging (albeit, a little intimidating). Ivy likes to try and drag Walter out of his shell to try out new things and meet new people. The invite to Project Tourizzem was one that Walter really really considered turning down but part of him knows that getting out of his dorm would be good for him so he’s looking forward to this new step in his life.

  Alima is like the poplar girls in most schools, being quiet mean and short tempered. She never picked on kids like they do in movies however, more of just bad mouthed people who called her a trouble child or insulted her friends.   Alima was a good kid growing up and got good grades. She had many friends, however not all of them were good. Once they reached their last year before high school her friends started to get into illegal activities. Alima did not join down her friends paths at first, focusing on her studies. But this all changed when the school began thinking of her friends as the trouble makers. This pissed her off so on a whim she decided to hang out with them again. This led to her going to a party with highschoolers and ended getting drunk and sleeping with one of them.
  
  This was the turning point in her life. She realized how much 'fun' her friends were having and decided to join them. She began skipping class, smoking and being mean to anyone who looks at them wrong. This continued through out high school until her last year there. At this time her and some buddies stole some alcohol from one of them parents fridges and got drunk. This ended up with them driving and getting in a car wreck.
  
  Alima was hospitalized with no life threatening injuries due to them being hit by a car in the back, however one of her friends had lost their lives, and the others had almost also. Alima decided that she would quit her ways and try her best to get into a college for her friend who had died so young.
  
  She stopped smoking and quit drinking all together. The others in the car wreck lost any interest in her after she quit and they soon lost contact. A few later the impact on her actions still affect her making her be outright cocky and reckless.​

  Decidedly plain, Maria is uneducated in the realm of pop culture or even the latest fashion trends. She hasn't seen a lot of movies or shows, mostly just classics that can be played on her uncle's VHS machine. Technology was never her forte anyway, but she does own a cellphone (though it is hardly ever used). Her lack of extracurricular interests is a result of having no time to pursue leisurely activities, with most of her days being filled with work from dawn till dusk. However, Maria is practical and well-grounded in this matter, believing in the value of hard work and never complaining about her struggles to friends and family. In fact, she would never let you know if she needed help. Asking for help is embarrassing for Maria, as she is used to being independent, and her sense of pride forces her to repay any gift given to her. Likewise, she is more concerned of others than of herself, which can often lead to the dismissal of her own needs. She is a heavy practitioner of the Catholic faith, which is to be expected since her father is a priest, and holds an unwavering faith. This can lead to her being rather close-minded to other views and resistant to change.

  Maria's earliest memories always take place on her uncle's farm, when her family lived together. Her father was a priest at the local church, which she would visit regularly and participate in masses and ceremonies. However, the thing she misses most to this day is the farm and its animals. As a girl she loved nothing more than to visit the horses in their pasture or to sneak into the barn at night so that she could read her favorite bible passages to the resting beasts before they went to sleep for the night.
  
  
  
  On her 11th birthday her uncle let her choose a foal of her own, which she raised and was eventually able to ride. She had a knack for the skill and even had her sights on eventually taking over the farm someday. That was until her uncle's farm became the stage for a gunfight between two drug cartels, with the victor claiming the farm for themselves. By the time the authorities were able to wrestle their home from the criminals all of the livestock were dead or missing and their house was ransacked. The aftermath left her uncle without a job and her family without a safe home. In the end the farm was sold and Maria's family gathered up their lives and moved to the United States in hopes of a fresh start. Her father found a place in a small Catholic church in California, eventually becoming the head priest when the old Father died.
  
  Ever since her father became the head priest there has been an increasing need for her to help keep their church afloat, which soon became a full-time job as the parishioners began to dwindle over the years. As if her traditional values and bland demeanor wasn't enough to dissuade her peers from hanging out with her, the fact that she was constantly working on her free time did. When not helping maintain her father's church (free of charge) she takes the night shift at the local general store to generate her meager spending money.
