Izanami is the gender bent magical boy form of Yami. Izanami possesses no ability to fly, but he can materialize black platforms to run on when forced to fight an enemy in the sky. He is able to run as fast as a Bullet Train, which is pretty damn fast. He can also create protective barriers to block projectiles and melee weapons (save for fists) as well as summon black tentacles to grapple an opponent. He can also shoot black electrical beams from his free hand.
Magical Genderbender: Yami's gender becomes male when she is Izanami. Sometimes, Izanami will not revert back to Yami when powering out of his magical girl form.
Weapons:
Izanami carries a Black Energy Ribbon that can shapeshift into a sword, an jousting lance, or a bow with unlimited ammo. The lance is used for attacking from above and for piercing through defensive barriers.

Yami is a scared individual who doesn't like to talk to others because of an incident from the past she was involved in. She tends to be a loner, quiet, and has issues of trust with others, especially considering she just got out of a security facility back in japan, and no one would help her when she was picked on by the other people there.
Izanami is Yami's opposite self. He isn't afraid to speak for himself, and he gets angry very easily. He also likes hanging out with others, yet he doesn't like the fact he is a guy in his magical transformation.
History:
Yami was born in Tokyo, Japan who began life as a happy go lucky girl who enjoyed watching Mahou Shojo anime and reading comedy romance manga such as Ouran Highschool. At the age of 9, she made a friend who told her a secret. That person was actually a magical girl. Calling BS, Yami asked for proof. Her friend had revealed her magical girl form, and Yami was amazed by it. She obtained her powers at the age of 10, after finding a strange black crystal laying on the ground at her school's rooftop. Of course, that was the exact same day tragedy struck. Yami was on the scene when a monster the size of Tokyo Tower showed up. Her friend had come to fight the monster, but was quickly overpowered. Regardless, she had both a city to save and a friend to protect. Unfortunately, her own magical girl form was uncontrollable, and she wound up destroying not only that monster, but her friend and part of the city too. The government had arrived in time and took a depowered Yami to a holding facility for criminals and dangerous people, and in her own separate cell, she stayed for 6 years until Project Sailor had come to recruit her. They somehow had the thought that Yami can be able to control her powers, but she needed training to do so.
And that is where her story begins…..

Izanami's name is based on the japanese goddess Izanami, and like his namesake, Izanami causes destruction. He may mean well, but not alot of people like him for how much collateral damage he makes in combat.

One day, she catches her ex girlfriend fighting a monster on her way home from school, discovering that magic was not only real, but that magical girls were a reality as well, and her girlfriend was one of them. Chihiro kept her girlfriend’s secret well for 2 years, even after a bad breakup following after, until she disappeared during a mission to New York City. Now determined to find her ex girlfriend, she must become a magical girl and look for answers to her ex’s disappearance, maybe even find love and new friends in the process.

This did not last for long, however, with the residence of a relative ruined by monsters brought about by the very Magic Storm that had empowered Nari. Her family helped rehouse these relatives, but at a costly price, putting Nari’s family in slight financial difficulty. Not wanting to let the same happen to any of the less fortunate, she joined the Magical Girls in order to deal with the monster situation.

Powers (in magical girl form):
Harmony- This is simply an ability that turns back time healing the user's allies, provided they can hear the music the user is playing. The effect increases with volume and how close an ally is. This ability cannot revive people from the dead, and is tiring to use
Cacophony- This is just their basic attacking ability. It harms enemies who can hear the user's music by worsening injuries and sometimes causing enemies to slowly decay. Power increases with volume and how close the enemy is. Depending on how strong the monster is Cacophony may simply act like a Shockwave attack rather than
Symphony of Souls- This more of a last resort attack. It summons ghost like apparitions for every person who's died in the area in the last 50 or so years and sends those apparitions to tear apart a target. Using this ability instantly knocks out the user for the duration of the attack
Accompaniment- This one has very little practical use, but it allows Roxy to summon ghostly accompaniment when she plays on her guitar. Cause guitar solos can get old sometimes
NOTE- Overuse of any of these abilities can cause the user to spontaneously de-age for no longer than an hour. Which is annoying, cause small children aren't good fighters
Weapons (in magical girl form): Magical electric guitar that helps Roxy use her powers, but also doubles as a club. Y'know, for melee
Personality: Pretty much everyone who's met Roxy would say that she's odd. She's obsessed with creepy things, horror and it's effect on people. She's almost sadistic in her enjoyment of other people's shock and fear. However it's never malicious or cruel. She just really likes playing horror games with her friends, or playing a scary prank on a friend or two. And if she does other creepy stuff that scares people... well, she's not the best when it comes to socializing.
However her obsession with more distressing emotions isn't the only weird thing about her. Roxy loves magical stuff and morbid things. And when those two things intersect? Her love descends into pure obsession. She has tons of animal bones hanging around her room and she loves trying to talk to ghosts. Sure nothing has worked (yet), but that doesn't stop Roxy from using a Ouija board every once in a while.
Roxy is also really chill and laid back. She's good at going with the flow and is rarely shocked by things, even if she does realize just how crazy they are. Maybe it has to do with Em being obsessed with the supernatural all of Roxy's life, the fact she's been surrounded by supernatural stories all her life or maybe that's just how she is. Regardless of why, Roxy isn't one to scream during horror movies, or panic when situations get out of control. She'll probably just laugh, make a comment about how odd the whole thing is and go on with her day.
Lastly Roxy isn't the best when it comes to empathy. Yes she can recognize emotions and how she can effect those around her, but when she hears about something terrible and terribly real her first instinct is to say that it's cool. That it's interesting! That the situation provides intriguing insight into how life works. While Em has helped her not say stuff like that, it doesn't change the fact that Roxy finds the most horrific things in life just as interesting as they are scary.
History: Roxy would describe their life as fairly mundane, but considering the fact that Roxy fairly mundane anything from making muffins, to owning human skeletons, that doesn't say a lot. They grew up in small run down town with their sibling Remi (Em) and their mother. The whole place was a ghost town, filled with empty houses and old stories that Roxy and Em always loved. Their Mom was less thrilled about it, never really accepting Roxy's plethora of weird interests or their odd demeanor. But that didn't really matter to Roxy, they already had Em. Which to them was more than enough. Regardless, it was a mostly peaceful life--Except for all the 'unexplainable' phenomena, and the houses that would fall apart and hurt people, and all the dead animals Roxy would end up finding. To Roxy it was normal, to anyone else.... Not so much. Then one day the magic storm came along, giving Roxy powers, and launching them into a world of magic and monsters. Not that Roxy really minds, they just think it's pretty cool.
Civilian Appearance: (faceclaim TBA because the only drawing of roxy I have definitely isn't a homestuck sprite) Roxy has long unwieldy silver-gray hair that she normally keeps tied up in a pony tail. Despite that their long bangs always fall in her face. They're fairly tall, about 5'9" and their brown skin always seems a bit discolored. Roxy's light purple eyes always seem a bit dead, with not a sparkle in sight and she always wears purple eyeshadow. Roxy enjoys wearing long sweater dresses that are way to big for them, making them look thinner than they actually are. Lastly Roxy always wears a rose in their hair and a purple ribbon tied around her ponytail.
