Project Purity (DrTrollinski & Greg2344)

"So... Now what's our plan? There any places to stop on the way?" Walker asked, his revolver held at his side while he looked around the wasteland surroundings. The wasteland brought back painful memories, but he didn't care too much for them now.

"Wheaton armory is on the way and I'm not sure what to think of it, it's full of raiders, but its a fully stocked per war armory. Are you guys up for it? I'll go but I need to know if you guys want to, because the loot we'd get is unimaginable, but then again it's full of raiders, so we could... Ya know." Said Jax.

"We'll scope the place out first and then we'll make a decision. What sort of stuff's there? I'm not risking my life for a couple of shotguns." He said with a shrug as he walked alongside him.

" Ohhh believe me, it isn't " a couple of shotguns' it's way more them that. Almost any weapon you could imagine. I do agree though, we should definitely scout it out first." Said Jax. The group walked for almost only 2 hours and arrived at Wheaton armory. But of course they were far away hiding behind a couple of large rocks, scouting the place out.

"The deal is, if we get close, we're not taking anything stupid like rocket launchers or laser guns. We take regular stuff that won't make us stand out." He said, peering around from the side of the rock. (Last post tonight. Goodnight!)

Jax scouted the place out, then made his plan. "Ok, so we go in through the back area, then we take out the two guards, go through the door down the hall, kill the five? Six maybe? Raiders there. Then we get the code off of the raider boss, the problem with that is, one, we need the boss alive. Two, we need a raider alive to tell us who the boss is. Once we get inside the armory vault, we kill the raider boss and get out of there." Jax explained.

"You seem to know a little too much about this place. How do you know all of this? How do you know that you need to get the codes from the boss, and all that?" He asked, looking a little suspicious. ".. You used to roll with these guys, or something...?" Walker asked, seeming fairly hesitant as he looked at him and then looked off towards the bandits. Hm... I suppose he seemed like the bandit type.

Jax quickly and sternly said "No" and a single tear dropped from his eye. When walker said that, the dark memories of Jax's past flooded back. He used to be a raider, but now he was nothing like them. The only reason he joined was because after his family died, a bunch of raiders found him and took him in, and became his family. To this day he doesn't know why they didn't just kill him as they did to many others. The gang boss that saved him was an old man about 46 with a long grey beard and shaved head, named "zed" over time zed became his father and raised him. He was with zed and the raider crew from the ages 14- to about 23 or 24. They did terrible things, they murdered people, beat people, and stole from people. " I didn't know I was young and naive at the time" Jax tells himself all the time to make himself feel better.

He saw the tear drop and he knew that something was off.

"You don't sound so sure..." Walker observed as he walked over and sat down against a wall, rubbing his shoulder with one hand while holding his gun in the other. ".. The tear... you know their tactics, the way they work, what they do, how they act, how they plan things - I'm not trying to accuse, I'm just... Suspicious." He said, looking away towards the area with the raiders.

"Look it doesn't matter, can we just do this then continue to the vault?" Jax said, trying to change the subject. Jax really didn't want them to know of his past, he knows how walker hates raiders, he loves walker and Daniel and doesn't want to lose their respect. What would they think of him, if they learned of his dark past? Walkers questioning made him think even more about his past. He... In a way... Missed zed. Zed was a good guy, it seemed. He raised Jax as his son, didn't let the other raiders bully him, and kept him well fed. But Jax didn't EVER want to go back to being a raider. They killed women, men, even..... Children. Jax remembered. He also thought "where is zed these days?" Probably dead in a random ditch in this wasteland.

"No, no, no - you're denying it. Avoiding it. Don't do that." Walker said as he quickly stood up and backed against the wall, gripping his gun tightly at his side. ".. Don't. Lie. To. Me." He demanded, his body shaking in the slightest. He just wanted the truth now - He didn't want to keep going unless he knew the truth. He had to know. He just had to.

"You think I don't see you, you know what fine. Shoot me, I deserve it, leave me dead here then continue the way to project purity. Your not going to like the truth, you already know it, I saw you observing me while I was in my thoughts. I don't think I have to answer your question" Jax said. He didn't know if walker would really shoot him, but he.... Didn't care.

"No..." He choked. He went up and slowly hugged him. "You might not have forgiven yourself, but I have..." He whimpered, his eyes tightly closed. "You ain't what you used to be. If you were, me and Daniel wouldn't be here, but... I care about you. We care about you." He stuttered. "I might not respect what you used to be, but I respect what you are now. Nothing will change that." He looked up at him. "WE need you." He blurted.

Jax hugged him back and said " trust me, I need you guys more then you need me. You two symbolize the last bit of innocence in this destroyed world, and yes I will never forgive myself for what I've done. Who am I to take someone's life? What makes me better then everyone else out here, surviving?"

"The fact that you changed." He said, sighing as he patted his back. "Can we deal with these guys now...? I need to shoot something." He sighed a little and then looked off towards the bandits again.

"Yeah" Jax replied. Jax and the crew snuck To the back area of the base. Jax and walker were behind a wall looking at the back door. "Ok, there are two guards, we don't want to make any noise or else we will be fighting ten raiders at the same time. So on the count of three we run up and stab them both, I get the one on the left you get the one on the right, ok?" Jax said pulling out his machete.

"While we're at it, we get the name of the boss and what he looks like. I'll take care of that... My dad taught me a little trick involving the spine." He said as he pulled out his Bayonet and held it at the ready. "On three?" He whispered.

"Yeah, on three." Said replied. "One, two, three!" Jax said. Jax charged the raider to the left. He stabbed the raider in the stomach, held his mouth, and slammed him into the wall. The raiders lifeless body slid down the wall to the ground. In a puddle of his own blood.

Walked also ran over and drove the knife into the over raider's back and jolted it off to the side; a ferocious click was heard as his spine snapped and his legs went limp; Walker covered his mouth and waited for him to stop panicking before pushing the blood-soaked knife against his throat.

"Who's the boss." He demanded.

The raider walker had was in too much pain to lie, he looked over and saw Jax stab his raider buddy. The raider said "please...please.. I'm sorry, don't kill me, the boss is named " the bull" he is a huge man. He is large, muscular, and wears a Brahmin skull on his face as a mask, you can't miss him." "Please don't kill me kid, I promise I'll stop being a raider, I'm doing this to feed my kids." He pleaded.

Flashback. The gunshots. The running. All triggered by his words. He remembered every distant scream and he suddenly fell angry.

"So were they." He snarled as he pulled the knife from his back and quickly drove it across his throat, dropping him to the ground thereafter.

Jax was shocked that Walker went through with it, and killed him. Jax said "good job, I'm proud of you. raider filth can't be trusted. I would have killed him if you didn't. Raiders will lie and do anything they can to survive, and if you let him live, he would have just shot you in the back as soon as you turned around."

"Seeing as he wouldn't be able to walk ever again... I doubt it." He said. "Take out their lower spine and it immobilises them. Permanently. Me and my dad treated a guy that had that done to him in a fight, poor bastard was in a wheelchair for four years until he rolled himself out of the town and never came back." He explained, wiping the blood off on the raider's shirt and then standing up. "Lead the way." He said, looking only straight ahead.

Jax and the group snuck into the building and up the stairs. They walked into a large cafeteria, where four raiders sat at a small round table drinking and laughing. " how do you reckon we handle this one?" Jax asked. Jax loaded his rifle up and got ready. The raiders at the table did not see them because they were peeking through a hole in door to the cafeteria.

"Try and separate them..." He said. "We want to do this quietly, right?" He asked, Daniel was busy inspecting a large vent just down from them. It was open.

"Guys, check this out."

He whispered.
