"Sure Daniel" said Jax. Jax handed daniel a can of soup and a purified water bottle. "So walker are you ok, to keep walking, it's only 10am. The next rest stop will be at the museum of history, I know someone there. We will arrive at the museum of history in About 3 hours." Asked Jax

".. We'll wait for five minutes..." He said as he sipped some more of his water. He was still shaking, which showed that he must have been in shock. Although he was one of the best shooters among the three, it looks like he was going to need some extra protection from the other two until he was back in shape and ready to fight. Daniel took ten minutes to eat his food and drink his water, but then he was all good and ready to go. Walker shakily stood up from the counter and looked at Jax, giving a slow nod. ".. Okay. I'm good." He said.

Jax and the group walked for about an hour and then they arrived at the mall. Jax said "ok this is going to be the most dangerous part of this adventure so far, maybe even more dangerous then the death claw at the metro. The mall is full of super mutants, but across the mall there is the museum of history, which inside it is the town called "The Underwold" that we are going to rest at. So we are going to try to sneak by the mutants. Ok?, is everyone ready?"

".. Yeah, I'm ready..." Walker replied softly as he loaded his gun and held it in his left hand instead. He wasn't going to be as accurate, but it was better than nothing. ".. Lead the way, man. Daniel, stick close to him." He sighed. He didn't want to be the one protecting Daniel in case he messed it up.

Jax was scared to say the least. He has been through the mall before, just making it each time, but now he Has two people to look after and protect. Daniel is too young and not really skilled in combat, and walker is now injured and can't shoot or fight. Jax said "ok let's go, we are going to try to sneak around." The group was sneaking around the mall and the super mutants were patrolling all around it. Jax and the group went into the mall (which is just a big trench with bunkers in it.) they were sneaking through the trenches and walked into one of the small bunker rooms. There was a super mutant sleeping in a chair with a big revolver on his lap. Jax snuck up behind him, pulled out his machete, then put his hand over the super mutants mouth, and stabbed his machete through the back of the chair into the mutants back, then he twisted the machete, killing the mutant. Jax said" walker grab his revolver, since you only have one arm to use now, your rifle will be useless."

 

[DrTrollinski]

".. I've got my own, remember?" Walker said as he waved his Colt Python around in front of him. ".. I'll stick with this, I'm fine." He said. "Let's get moving, dude... I don't want to spend too long in here, eh? I'd rather get out of this place and keep moving, this place gives me the creeps." He said, wincing as moved his right arm.

"Oh I forgot, cause you never used it yet" said Jax. The group traveled further through the trenches and ran into another guarded bunker. There are two mutants guarding the door, they don't see the group, because they are hiding behind a wall. "Ok you and Daniel have lower caliber pistols then my rifle, so it will be more quiet. You both take out the two guards, be sure to shoot both at the same time, ok?" Said Jax.

".. I have my own rifle, it hasn't got a scope, though. I can use that." Daniel smiled as he pulled his rifle from his back and aimed it, slowly, at the head of one of the two mutants. Walker simply nodded in agreement and aimed it at the other, the revolver against the wall for support. His left hand was weaker, so the kick he'd get out of this would make him stumble a little.


".. Okay, Dan... Three. Two... One." He said as he pulled the trigger - Daniel's bullet hit the mutant right between the eyes, whereas Walker's went into its skull just beside its nose and tore right through it. They both dropped. ".. Good shot, bro." Walker said softly, Daniel smiled.

"Good shots boys" said Jax, smiling. "We are almost through here, just walk quietly" Jax said while looting the room, for ammo, food, and weapons. The group walked further, only two more bunkers until the exit. They arrived at the next bunker. "This one is going to be harder to get through, there are four mutants, two have hunting rifles, one has an axe, one has a baseball bat. We need to charge in, catch em by surprise and kill em" said jax. "We go in on three" jax added.

".. Go for the ones with the rifles first." Walker said. "They're the most dangerous we're up against right now." He added, holding his gun up at the ready. He'd hang back a little to ensure that he didn't endanger himself too much.

Jax said " one...two....three!" He charged In with his rifle pointed, shot a rifle wielding mutant right through the mouth, killing it. Then he charged into one of the mutants that had a baseball bat, and smashed its head with his rifle, injuring it, then held the beast in front of him, using it as a human shield, while a mutant with a rifle was firing shots into him, killing his mutant brethren, Luckily all the shots hit the mutant Jax was holding as a human shield.

Walker missed his first shot and stumbled off to the side - another one ran right towards him - in that split second, Daniel almost felt as if time went slower. He aimed at the one with the rifle. Bang. He shot him straight in the head - He cocked the rifle again as the axe went up above the mutant's head. Bang. He shot it in the cheek and it roared in agony and turned towards him. Daniel fumbled around for his 9mm pistol and then emptied every bullet into his chest, only to have the dead mutant come tumbling down on top of him to take him to the floor.

After Jax threw the dead mutant he was holding as a shield to the ground, he walked over, moved the huge beast off of Daniel, helped Daniel up, then asked "good shot, and are you ok?" Jax searched this room also and got loot from it. "Ok one more bunker, then We will be at "The Underwold" said Jax.'

".. Hurt my arm a little, but I'm okay..." Daniel muttered as he tucked his gun away into his pants and slung his rifle over his shoulder. He walked over to Walker and tugged on his shirt a little so that he'd walk out of the room with he and Jax. ".. We're good to go." Daniel said.

The group walked for about 6 minutes and they were at the last bunker. Jax peeked in the bunker, there were two super mutant guards, and there was a women in a cage The super mutants were pointing at her, and mocking her. Jax said to walker " let's sneak up behind them and stab em, to preserve our limited ammo supply". Jax then snuck up behind one of the mutants and signaled for walker to get behind the other.

Walker sighed. He didn't have much of a choice here. He pulled out his bayonet and sneaked up behind the other mutant before looking at Jax and nodding. He turned to the mutant in front of him and then drove the knife into the bottom of its back. It roared in agony, and he quickly stabbed him a couple more times over until he finally dropped to the floor.

When Jax saw walker stab and kill the beast, Jax kicked the other mutants leg, so it stumbled backwards, then he shoved his machete into its throat, killing it. Jax then said "we need to find a way to open this cage, search the bodies of the mutants for a key."

 

[DrTrollinski]

".. Daniel, you search this one." Walker said, Daniel nodded and instantly went to checking the body of the mutant that Walker had killed.


"Oh, thank god! Thank you!" The woman cried to them both, sobbing wildly as she bowed her head and grasped the bars of the cage.

"Daniel, unlock the cage." Said Jax. "What is your name, and how did the mutants get you?" Jax said to the captured women.

Daniel ran over with the key and quickly unlocked the cage; the woman instantly jumped out, hugged Daniel, hugged Walker, and then hugged Jax. She stepped away from the three of them and then took a deep breath as she wiped her eyes.


".. Joanne. My name's Joanne..." She sobbed gently.

" thanks Daniel" said Jax. " we are heading to "The Underworld"'have you ever heard of it, if not don't worry it's not as scary as the name suggest. It's just a town of friendly ghouls." Said Jax to Joanne.

 

[DrTrollinski]

".. That's where I was going before I was captured... I'll part ways once we get there, but I'm not armed, and even if I was, I'd still like an escort." She said shakily as she brushed herself down.

"Hmmm ok, I'll trust you" he said, while handing her an assault rifle off of a dead mutant. The group exited the final bunker, thus exiting the mall. They arrived at the Museum of history. When they walked inside they were in a large quiet room. In the center of the room there was a huge fossil of some ancient unknown creature. Then there was a door with a ghoul man, with combat armor guarding it.


The ghoul said "what's your business here, smoothskin?"


Jax replied " we are here to rest."


The ghoul said "sorry no smoothskins aloud"


Then all Jax said was "Ahzrukhal" and the ghoul man had a surprised look on his face and said " sorry right this way sir"'while opening the door.


Jax said to everybody "don't worry these are nice ghouls, not like the feral ones that attacked us earlier. Then a ghoul man wearing a white suit walked up and said "hello Jax, we haven't met in a long time, nice to see you.


Jax replied "you too Ahzrukhal, me and my companions need a place to rest for the night."


Ahzrukhal said "for you Jax, my old friend amything, there will be food and purified water waiting for you in your room, it's up the steps, and the room is labeled, "Guest suite".


The group then went up into the room, it was a large room with 2 beds, a fancy couch, a table with six seats, and a working refrigerator.

".. I can't say I'm a fan of hanging around ghouls, but this is pretty nice." Walker said as he walked inside and went over to the smaller bed. He sighed and looked at the other two. ".. I can't share a bed with anyone with my shoulder being like this... Do you think that you guys could share the double bed tonight?" He asked as he set his head down on the pillow.


".. Uhm... I don't mind, but only if Jax doesn't mind, either." Daniel said with a shrug as he walked over to the fridge and took out some food and a bottle of water.

Jax sat on the bed and said " yeah, no problem walker, Daniel can you get me a water too?". Jax wondered how Joanne got caught by the mutants, and why they didn't just shoot her on sight, as they do with most people. Maybe because she is a female, but walker and daniel are children and the mutants just fire at them without caring. "People will never figure out how those beasts think" Jax thought to himself.
