Fantasy Project Anima

Gil still didn't like how the plan was going, but he held his objection for Arty's sake. The girl seemed determined to go with Crimson, so there was no other way. "We just need to flesh out the detail, then. How do you suggest us enter the tower?"

"Smack them in the head, easy," Norman flashed a dangerous grin. As expected, right?

"...That'll be too conspicuous," he shook his head. As if they would go with that barbaric method in the first place. It would most likely only become their last resort.

"..."

The silver-haired girl behind her poked at Crimson's shoulder. Rizeluke was merely listening to their conversation this entire time, but it seemed that she had an idea of her own.

"Assassins...know best how to...sneak in..." she said rather proudly. "Shadow magic...should suffice...?"

Crimson leaned back in her chair as she listened to the two men talking. When she felt the poke she looked over at the small princess. Hearing her words she nodded. "Of course...how do you think the two of us will get to the top?" She smirked before finished off her alcohol. After a moment she turned to the other asassen next to her still standing there quietly. "So...how is your master doing?" She hummed with a smile.

Rizeluke's usual stiff expression softened for a bit upon mention of her master, but quickly reverted back. "He is...fine. Master is doing his best...so...Rize will do her best too..."

That was the only thing she could explain. After all, their missions were classified. A slip of the tongue could mean death. Arty eyed the petite girl with an amused smile. She had changed. Crimson had changed too. They were more...warm, compared to how she knew them before. It made her happy.

"Oi, you guys listening?" Gil said abruptly. "Are we going to hit them at dusk, when the patrol switched? Or should we wait until midnight to let the darkness cover our trail?"

Hearing her words crimson let out a light laugh. She wanted to ask what her mission was, but her thought as was interrupted by Gil. Her eyes rolled before she looked over at him with her usual frown. "I use shadows, what do you think?' after saying this she looked to Norman "can you fill my drink up please" a small more playful smile came to her lips as she leaned against the table. Anymore of the prince's aditude was going to get him cut, the plan was simple why make it harder?

Norman lifted the keg to pour another glass. He himself had drank a lot, and the barrel only had a few left inside. Luckily it was enough if it was just for one more serving. He handed the glass to Crimson with his usual over-the-top bartender table slide, ended with a wink. Yep, he was clearly wasted.

"...Fine, then I'll leave the detail to you, miss expert," Gil stood up. "It is already late. We should get back to our room and rest. Here," he threw a key toward Crimson. "I rented three rooms upstairs. I didn't expect Rizeluke to be here so I'll leave her to you."

He left the table. Arty followed behind him after silently waving an apology to Crimson.

After the two had went out of sight, Norman let out a blaring laughter. "Well...there goes the royalties. Lil Gil is always so stiff around you. You guys fighting or what?" He pointed his pinky finger at Crimson while chugging another glass. The last drop from his keg. "Whelp, there goes the beer. I should call it a night too. Hic."

Crimson watched him with a slight laugh. Sadly she would be getting that drunk tonight. When it was finally over to her, she took a long drink as she watched the prince get up. Her hand was quick to catch the key as she set the glass down. The assassin said nothing only giving Arty a small nod for a good night.

Her attention was brought back to Norman as he spoke about the two. "You should be careful With what you say" she warned with a small laugh. If anyone heard that the two were royals there could be trouble. "Get some sleep then ill wake you before we get started" she smiled to him with out answering his question about the two fighting. Truth is, they hardly ever got along.

After finishing her own alcohol she stood up and stretched slightly. "Alright, lets head up to the room then' she looked over at Rizeluke. With out another word she turned and started up to the room and unlocked the door. "Try not to get in are way tonight. This is a high end job and im mostly healed so I won't have as much trouble as I did the last time we fought." she looked over at her after she got into the room.

Rizeluke only gave a slight nod as a reply. Nevertheless, it seemed that she had no intention to hinder whatever the group was going to do. The petite girl floated toward one of the two beds in the room and then plopped down rather casually.

"My liege's order was...to observe. If necessary, to help..." she mumbled before curling up into a ball.

Seeing her walking to one of the beds she decided to do the same. May as well get a few hours rest before day breaks. Tomorrow they would scout out the tower then that night strike and she would definitely need rest to make up for her being in pain. Sitting on the bed she just nodded at the others words. So she was there to watch them and help, it was definitely interesting. After a quick check over crimson laid out on her bed. Though the priest healed her she could feel the pain all over her body. This however didn't stop her from falling asleep.

Daybreak. It was a nice day outside. Brotherby's was starting to get crowded. People came for their breakfast and a quick fix of alcohol.

Arty was gently knocking on Crimson's door, wanting to see whether she had woken up or not. Rize had woken up quite a while ago, but she just lounged around lazily on her bed, waiting until Crimson gave the okay to get out.

Even as a former assassin, years of training kept her aware during and after sleep.

Strangely enough even as the sun hit her face Crimson didn't wake up. It seemed her body needed this rest to heal and refused to let her wake up or even move from the spot she had fallen asleep in. It was a rare that something like this would happen to her, but she had used up a lot of energy the last week and barely slept because of all the pain she was in. Now being mostly healed her body decided to catch up on the lost sleep.

Riz could sense the little princess waiting on the other side of the door, not sure whether she could enter or not. The silver-haired girl glanced at Crimson's sleeping figure. Sigh. Oh well.

"Hyaah!" Arty almost fell when the door was abruptly opened. "Oh...good morning, miss Brahne," she quickly gained her composure upon seeing Rize in front of the door. She must've opened the door for her.

"I leave, to you..." She left in an instant, disappearing before Arty could say anything. As she entered the room, she caught sight of Crimson on the bed, still sleeping. She rested her head on the side of the bed, watching her sleeping.

"Thank you for everything, miss Crimson," she murmured. "This time, I won't let any of us die...I promise..." She closed her eyes, her words grew faint.

Though crimson didn't wake up Arty's words made it through to her. In a way it was almost funny, crimson was here to keep them alive and get this job done. Crimson's hand twitched as her body started to slowly wake up.

Half hour later crimson sat up quickly her dagger out at the ready. Something Startled her, but looking around she seen no threat. Perhaps it was a dream? She reached around her chest with her free arm feeling pain through it as she put her dagger down. Her head bowed as she closed her eyes, her head spinning

"Still, sleeping...?"

A silver-haired head peeked through the door slit. Rize had returned upstair to their room after waiting for Crimson to come down. Arty said to let her sleep a bit more, but the group couldn't wait any longer. Why would an assassin oversleep anyway?

"The Prince, angry. Get down, fast..." she said a bit more before disappearing.

Crimson jumped slightly hearing hearing the other. Wow did she jump? A frown went to her face as she stood up and streched with a groan. She seemed to be going soft from being around the princess. Her back popped, before she was able to relax again. While grabbing the dagger from her bed she looked over at the window. "Guess it would be good to get down there " she sighed and fixed up her hair and outfit before she started out and down the steps. Spotting them she walked over with a small yawn. "Think of how you two are getting in?" She asked as she looked at the two men.

Gils and Norman was chatting at the lobby, although it was more like Norman regaling Gils with his tales while the latter just nodded from time to time with a bored expression. When Crimson finally showed up, however, both snapped their neck, staring at her. Gils especially had an annoyed look.

"The sleeping beauty finally decided to honor us with her presence! Did you enjoy your sleep, your highness?"

The mocking was strong in this one. Norman couldn't stifle his chuckle.

"That little lady told us that you two can hide us in the shadow. Might took a lot of energy but she said if it's you then it'll be fine," Norman smiled. "Well, we gonna leave it to ya!"

Basically, they had given up thinking.

Hearing the prince she shot him a dark glare. Man she wanted to stab him at the moment. When she heard Norman she sighed as she rubbed her neck slightly. "It would be a lot of energy covering both parties in different places, but its worth a try...." she sat down beside Norman and placed her head in her hands as she thought. "I would normally need practice to do this, but if I rest until time to start I should be ok" she mostly was mumbling softly to herself at this point as she closed her eyes thinking of a way to do this.

Gills sneered at her. "Is it too hard for the great assassin? I'll leave you to your rest then." He stood up and left after saying that.

"Don't mind him, he's just tense," Norman laughed. "But man, Zebeth...make me wish I could see that girl one more time. Do you think we have some time to spare after we finished our business?"

Crimson just cleared watching the prince walk away before sitting up with a small sigh. "If we do it will be only a sliver of time in this town. Anywhere else and you will have to ask her" she nodded to Arty before standing up. "Im going to go get something to eat..." she then turned and started to the door. Really she wanted peace and quiet and thought the out skirts of town would be nice. She didn't think it would be a big deal since she knew when and where they would start. Making her way down the road she kept her eyes out for a bakery or something

The silver-haired girl, Rize, was lounging in one of the stall when she spotted Crimson coming from the direction of the inn. She waved to get her attention.

It seemed that the stall was selling bread dipped in soup. A local delicacy of Zebeth. Rize was having a portion herself.

"Done, sleeping?" She said

Catching sight of Rize Crimson sighed softly not really wanting to o go over, but did anyway as she smelt something good. Hearing the other she shot her an irrated frown "ya... but I needed it. After what happened the last time we met I couldn't sleep at night. So after being mostly healed I needed sleep." She mumbled then ordered herself what Rize was having.

"Hmm..." The girl stared at Crimson for a while, and then let out what sounded like a muffled laughter.

"Rize...heal faster. Rize, won," she murmured with a satisfied tone. After that she fell silent, only munching on her soup.

Crimson shook her head with a small smile. It seems the other could laugh, it was a bit of a surprise but a good one. "My body was already beat down when we fought. And I'm pretty sure I won, you retreated" she pointed out as she got her own meal. After blowing on it she took a big bite happily. It was good. The assassin let out a pleased sigh as she felt the warmth go through her body.

Rize didn't say anything else until she finished her bowl. After that, she turned into a lower voice, barely a whisper, so that only Crimson could notice.

"Have you, prepare for tonight...?" She asked. "I haven't used, shadow magic for a long time. You have to, guide..."

Crimson was calmly munching on her bread when Rize spoke again. "Well....this is me preparing and so was all that sleeping" she said this after swallowing what was in her mouth. "I'll have a clone with you just go to off of that. Don't loose sight of merging with the shadows and don't stop when your half way through. There is not enough time for us to practice, it will use energy we will need" after mumbling this she took another bite to think. I

"Hmm. Understood," she nodded. "Rize will, keep your beloved prince, safe..." she said in passing as she jumped off from the seat and walked away lazily.

"Oh..." she called out after she was way out of sight, "please pay, my meal. Rize, forgot..."

Her presence disappeared after that.
