Problem with Font Colors

Lady Warlock

Anime RN
I'm in an rp that involves a lot of collaboration. Typically, we use different colored fonts to signify different people talking. And posts are usually written in a different place such as google docs or titanpad. However, whenever posts are pasted in, the color defaults to black and I'm not sure how to fix it. I've seen some people in my rp post things on the site that are legible on all three themes while the post was still copied and pasted from a different source. However, I myself have been unsuccessful at anything I've tried.

Is there a way to set up the site so that when something is pasted from a different source, the color of the "black text" or whatever the default happens to be, it changes with theme so that everyone can read it despite their theme?

You need to manually remove formatting from parts of the text that you wish to be automatically readable on all three themes. There is no other way.

This is an example sentence. Someone says something: "I'm saying something!" The sentence continues.

If I were to copy something like this from an outside editor into the site editor, I would have to select everything except the quoted text and clear formatting. That way, the unquoted text will be automatically adjusted by the site into black or white depending on the theme. If you do not do this, there is no guarantee that it will be readable against the background.

You might consider doing what I have - forcing the RP subforums to overwrite user preferences and always display a specific theme. Run a poll with your players and see if you can all agree on using the same theme. It's the best way to make sure everyone has the same experience.

Another way, kind of, would be to hold CTRL + Shift + V (not sure what it would be on a Mac), which is "Paste Unformatted Text" and then going back through and changing the color of just the dialogue.
