Help Private workshop views

Here I am again, floundering. Truth be told I didn't take the time to comb through and see if this has been answered already, but it's a quick question. What are views in my private workshop from? I know it isn't a public forum (obviously), so is it just moderators checking to make sure nothing sketchy is going on? I was surprised when I saw that there were views. Or were they myself just clicking on them?

A view is created whenever you yourself click on the page and load it but that counter isn't always correct.
