[div class=boxy]It's hard to live in a small town having ambitions and interests that go against conservative family views. Hamlets, villages, and tiny town have always struggled with maintaining their population happy and healthy, with having enough money and medicine, with being up-to-date with politics, technology, education. More often than not, ones future is arranged even before birth: what are you going to be, who are you going to marry, how many children will you have, what will you inherit, and what will you do with this inheritance. Every pair of hands is crucial for the survival, and every person has a role to fill. The Reed family, however, were "blessed" with something else.

When one hears a child being obsessed with macabre, they always imagine this dark, gothy kid to see the world in dim light, and always speak of impending doom looming around the corner. That was not the case this time, however. Although quite a friendly little man, Elliott, however, always got the side-eye from his peers for his infatuation with bones, and bodies and rotting carcasses. There wasn't a sense of beauty in this decay: rather, he felt curiosity about it. About death, and rot, and respect towards something that was no longer a living being. He was in luck, however. It just so happened that his arrangement was to become the next doctor in the village, after it was discovered that the real healer of Obeous could not have his own kids. The interest in macabre came in handy, after all.

Deciding to get him the best education possible after the mysterious curse was rotting the village away, the family saved all the money they could to send Elliott to the city, into the school, to be taught the ways of healing. He was a smart little lad - he'd be able to pick everything up pretty fast!

That is the point when things went haywire. Sending the kid alone was probably the worst decision they ever made, as, arriving to the local college, all filled with different types of enchantments and sorcery to be taught, Elliott quickly found a much better ("better") option for his passions, that being necromancy. He finally felt comfortable, and at home, surrounded by friends who understood his interest in all things dark and gloomy, and who, in turn, rarely came off as overly miserable crowd, on the contrary to what people expected from the adepts of this craft.

Long paragraphs might be written about the school and education, but important thing was that during that time, this overly rapt young man absolutely forgot why exactly he was getting this education, and the sense of duty, as well as inability to decide what to do with his life once his education was over, led him back to Obeous. He decided to improvise, as he warned his new superior - now much older and wearier - about the lack of real practice. Quick on his feet and quite witty, Elliott was able to pretend and twist his lack of knowledge as his natural nervousness, and pick a few things up from the healer as well. He was obviously not the best doctor, and would need to do something when the recent one is gone, but that is the future. Elliott rarely thought about the future.[/div][div class=boxy]
Elliott Reed

human | 26 y.o. | 6'5'' | 180 lbs

A tall, and very lanky mid-20s man, Elliott is awkward both in the way he looks and behaves. He is often hunched down, as if uncomfortable with his own height, somewhat gaunt, supporting a mane of brown, messy curls which he never managed to keep at bay, long face, long hooked nose, and dark-green eyes with dark circles around them, as if he wasn't getting enough sleep. His bony fingers are always covered in ink spots that seem to be permantnely burned into his skin, and clothes usually tattered, lacking ironing, and rather messy. He comes off much like a scared overgrown sparrow with his rapid movements and bird-like features.

Despite being infatuated with death and decay, and feeling himself quite comfortable in the cursed, rotting tiny town, Elliott is a good-natured fellow. He's as friendly as he can get, due to the lack of social skills, peppered quite well with cynicism, comes off somewhat nervous: he is sharply aware about his rather positive attitude to things that bring grief to others, but due to the habit of doing and saying first and thinking about it later, tends to get easily embarrassed, trace himself back and apologise quite often, which all too often makes him look like a mumbling idiot, and is often a liability to his family and teacher. Truth is, the young man has sharp, inquisitive mind, albeit he lacks life experience and is not traditionally intelligent.[/div][div class=boxy]
