Real talk, guys (proper capitalization incoming): I want this RP to be a fun time for all of us. I know the basic concept of “rainbow haired young adults in a high school (yes, a high school, not college) but with a rebellious twist” is probably uh what? or bleh, whatever, move on to the next one, and if you’re really not interested then that’s alright! Thank you for clicking on this anyway!!

But if you are interested, first off, hello! Thanks for the interest! I’m looking for people (ages 17+) who genuinely like joking around and making memes, yes, but who ALSO like to explore character relationships and mysteries and secrets and who maybe possibly, hopefully, like drama and a bit of violence and rebellion against Society. And who also like a touch of utopian and some sci-fi elements, and maybe some minor George Orwell inspiration. If this sounds interesting to you, then please read on!! I do promise that this RP is not going to be a complete joke, although I encourage fun and jokes about the RP or the characters! Let’s have fun while we bond together and rebel against this rainbow society : )

• Roshe is a perfect rainbow utopian city. With all of the amenities one could ever need and little to no crime, and great schools and kind neighbors, there’s truly no reason for the inhabitants of the city to worry about the wall that blocks out the rest of the world from them. Every individual in the society of Roshe is at ease with their circumstances and no one questions the bubble that they live inside of, since they have lived in that bubble all of their lives, which is, peculiarly, only about sixty years. The structure of society, where the color of one's hair decides the role one plays, is very easy to accept and keeps everything neat and tidy. No one complains or questions it, so everything is wonderful.
  
  At least, that’s what the leaders of this society would want you to believe. The truth is much different: this society? Sucks. And a lot of people know it and want to change it, but to bring about change would only end in blood or, maybe, death, so no one ever says anything out of fear of punishment. The inhabitants of Roshe know but never speak about what happens to the white-haireds and the rulebreakers. They know that the cameras everywhere are not to ensure their safety, but instead are there to keep an eye on them so that an uprising does not happen. The rules are in place to keep them in line and anyone who even speaks of breaking them disappear for a day or two, then come back later well-behaved and completely oblivious to their disappearance.
  
  All of this is great (or not so great), until the cast of characters, a group of young adults who may or may not have been in college, wake up in a classroom of an abandoned high school. How they got there is mostly unknown or foggy to them (it may have involved kidnapping or deception of some sort), but how they got there soon doesn’t matter because they are told they are going to be the ones to change their society. Rebellion is the plan, says the strange woman in the room who should not exist anymore, and everyone is expected to comply with this plan.
  
  Obviously, this is a problem, but forcing characters together and telling them to work together towards a rebellion against society and the leader of society is the plot of the RP, so the characters better come to terms with that soon! Conflict in the group of rebels is definitely to be expected, as well as mystery and discovering the truth of their society and the world outside of their walls. Drama and trauma and bloody scenes are definitely in store for these characters, and there’s no guarantee that every character will survive the RP unscathed.
  
  I’m very open to exploring any plot points or character arcs anyone wants to include in the story, although I do not want to deviate too far from the rebellion plot. I’m also very open to any ideas anyone has for how the rebellion is handled, since I want to collaborate with my members so we all write something that we really like!
• This society is full of color wherever one looks. Varying shades of rainbow colors pop up anywhere someone goes, which sure seems pretty fun, from an aesthetic perspective. The actual truth of this society is that each individual color has a specific role to fill and to go against that role is taboo and can lead to very dangerous, sometimes deadly, repercussions. We like to stick to the status quo here, guys. (But the vast majority of society secretly does not.) Questioning why specific colors need to have specific jobs? Not allowed. (Actually, I encourage questions.) Striving to break out of the box that one has been stuffed into? Don’t you dare! (But actually do dare!)
  
  There is very rarely any overlap between hair colors and the roles that they have in the world. This isn’t to say overlap doesn’t happen - there have been green-haired artists and violet-haired farmers, but it has become pretty rare for overlapping like that to be accepted in the society of today. Same-haired individuals are expected to accept their lot in life and not rebel against it, although… That wouldn’t make for a very interesting story, would it?
  
  Below are the “roles”, I suppose, although there are technically no roles to fill in this RP. The information below should help you decide what hair color you’d like to give to your characters! Keep in mind, though, that these are just the expectations society has for each hair color. Your character can have an interest and want to do anything that they want to!
  
  I did not include the stereotypical personalities that would be attached to these specific colors, because I want to have creative, unique characters. If you want to go with a hot-headed red-haired, ditsy airhead yellow-haired or soft sweet green-haired, then that’s fine. But don’t feel like you have to fall into the stereotypes! Any ethnicity of person can also have any hair color, and I’m allowing people to have those fun and wacky anime eye colors. Heterochromia and red eyes are still as rare as they are in our real world, though.
  
  Notes: indigo and white-haireds are not as common in society, but if you want to make one, then go for it! But don’t everyone go for it, please. The age range for characters is 18-23 and they are expected to either be in college or contributing to society somehow. LGBT+ friendly and I really want some unique characters, not just in terms of personality, but in terms of appearance, too! Not completely wild appearances, though.
  
  
  Red - Destined to be a superb athlete. Every athlete that anyone ever sees is red-haired, which can sometimes be confusing when watching them compete against each other. Red-haireds are all involved in sports teams growing up and are most definitely all very fit and healthy and active. A sickly red-haired? Impossible. (Except not actually.) Red-haireds are not meant to be intelligent, since that belongs to the green-haireds, and neither are they supposed to be creative, since that belongs to the orange-haireds. Red-haireds are really, quite simply, the jocks of society, and that’s all anyone ever expects them to be.
  
  Orange - Destined to be a superb artist. Artist is very broad in this sense; it encompasses actors, producers, directors, musicians, painters, illustrators, authors, chefs, and much more! Orange-haireds are very creative and get lost in their heads easily, often daydreaming or thinking of some new artistic endeavor to pursue. They’re mostly viewed as wishy washy types, though they often surprise society by putting out great art or producing incredible actors or astonishing games or shocking books. They are underappreciated among society and are overlooked frequently, which is quite a shame.
  
  Yellow - Destined to be a superb farmer. Yellow-haireds are connected to the sun, obviously, which is why they have such lightly colored hair. This means that, because of their obvious connection to the sun, every yellow-haired takes on a job relating to agriculture. Raising crops, or animals, or tilling that soil is what yellow-haireds have to look forward to in this society. To be honest, yellow-haireds are some of the most important members of society, because they do provide the food for everyone else to consume. They’re also very down to earth and humble, thanks to the jobs that they do!
  
  Green - Destined to be a superb scientist. Chemical or biological or even mathematical, it doesn’t matter, because green-haireds are scientists in any and all fields. Some of the most intelligent individuals of society, who are not white-haired, have been green-haireds. It’s to be expected, since they do make all of the new and important scientific discoveries and are highly revered, although not as much as the violet-haireds are. Some of them may have a bit of a big head on their shoulders and maybe there have been a few green-haireds who went absolutely mad, but that’s no reason to be concerned, at all.
  
  Blue - Destined to be in the medical field, be it as a veterinarian, therapist, doctor or even a mortician! Perhaps obvious, but the blue-haireds are quite important to society, since they are always the people who take care of other people or pets or the dead. Some blue-haireds aren’t actually good at being doctors and have bad memories or awful bedside manners, but those ones just get shoved over to the dead bodies, who don’t seem to mind that they suck. Blue-haireds are all "trained", properly and thoroughly, to be doctors or vets, because no one wants someone who has no experience to work on them or their loved ones.
  
  Indigo - Indigo-haireds are, perhaps, the most important hair colors, as they are the government officials and the leaders of society. Government officials mean anything from governors to mayors to military to police officers to even people employed in the education system. The leader in charge of this rainbow filled society is indigo-haired, and that’s how it has always been, for as long as anyone can remember. While indigo-haireds are very important to society, there aren’t actually too many of them, and its often brought into question if an individual has dark violet or blue hair instead.
  
  Violet - Destined to be an absolute STAR! Violet-haireds are all the idols and role models of society, well beloved and incredibly famous, or bound to be famous and beloved one day in the near future. It doesn’t matter what they’re like - they could be a big bookworm or a narcissist or a completely disinterested member of society, but they will be a star. One way or another. The violet-haireds have no other choice but to be a star. There is no other role for them to fill. So, hey, welcome to the limelight, new celebrity! Oh, but you’re not invited to participate in any of the arts or any of the sports or anything else. Just gotta look pretty and take on that celebrity status.
  
  White - Destined to die a tragic death. The oldest a white-haired has lived to is the ripe old age of 30. Because this is the case, most white-haired’s are prodigies, or kid geniuses. They are incredibly intelligent and graduate early from school, so that they can live an actual life before they finally die. And, speaking of dying, none of them actually die because of natural causes, which sure is really kind of weird! Every single illness and old age elude them, which makes them incredibly healthy, but that prime health comes with a heavily reduced time to live. Tragically, not all white-haireds are prodigies, but society does not acknowledge those individuals and, for some reason, they die even earlier than 30. How weird!
  
  Black - Destined to outlive us all. Black-haireds are the worker ants of the world, and they are only permitted to do the menial and least desirable jobs. Sanitation, factory work, fast food workers, retail store employees, and some customer service are the roles black-haireds have to look forward to. Perhaps the most prestigious job a black-haired could get would be an office job, but they’d never be top dog, no matter how much work they put in. With a very obvious lowered intelligence (supposedly) compared to the rest of society, it makes sense that these individuals do the boring jobs that no one else wants to do. One perk black-haireds have is an extended time to live! They do not seem to age much past the ripe old age of 30, which makes it only a little difficult to figure out how old one of them actually is.
  
  Rainbow - A mythical legendary hair color. According to stories and some old whispered rumors, this hair color actually did exist before, but no one has seen a rainbow-haired in a very long time. Perhaps they went extinct, or perhaps they never existed before. But, hold on, that’s not actually possible, because there’s photographs of them, if one decides to do some looking around. Whatever these rainbow-haireds did in the past is a mystery, since there’s little documentation about them. In fact, all the documentation about them seems to keep becoming less and less, oddly enough.
  (This hair color is not open for anyone to play, since they obviously don’t exist anymore!)
  
  
  ✧ Mixed hair colors do NOT exist in this society. Brown, pink, gray and turquoise colors are not anything that anyone has. Multiple hair colors, like half red half yellow, or split-dye, also does not exist, because hair dye (and bleach) is illegal and anyone caught changing or adding to the color of their hair will face severe punishment. However, that does not mean that a character cannot be hiding their real hair color behind dye! The colors that would be most likely to do this are the white-haireds, violet-haireds and black-haireds, but hair dye is illegal and can only be purchased through sketchy means, so most individuals just deal with their natural color.
  
  ✧ If you want to make a character who has dyed hair, then please let me know, because there's a certain hair dye dealer they could have gotten the dye from! I don’t want everyone to be walking around with dyed hair since that simply would not happen.
• ✩ Right now I’m looking to accept around eight (8) people, but I may accept more or fewer depending on the amount of interest shown and the number of characters people send in.
  
  ✩ This RP is not first come, first serve. You’ll send your character(s) to me in a PM and I’ll determine who I want to accept based on the sheets. I’m allowing people to make two characters but if you do decide to make two characters, both may not be accepted. Only one may be chosen!
  
  ✩ Please be 17+!
  
  ✩ Discord is required for OOC conversation, plotting, announcements, and much more. There will be an OOC thread on this site for chatting until I get feedback from everyone if they want to join the server or not (it’s already set up). I know that joining a server without knowing if you're going to be accepted is stressful which is why I’m holding off on opening the server immediately!
  
  ✩ Aiming for semi-lit leaning heavily toward lit. Please try to get 2-3 paragraphs out per reply, but more than that or a little less than that is definitely fine. No one-liners, no mary sue’s, keep IC drama separate from OOC, and all that other RP etiquette. I'm really looking for people who are active OOC and who are able to post once a week. I understand that life happens but if you are going to be unable to reply then please let me know so we can work around your character's absence. I really want this RP to live and consistent posts will definitely help with that, I think!
  
  ✩ If you want to use a code for your sheet or IC reply, that’s fine! But you MUST include a mobile-friendly spoiler so that those on their mobile devices are able to see what you wrote. Ideally I’d like all codes to be mobile friendly, but I know that can be difficult to do, so including a plain text version is a way to work around that.
  
  ✩ FC’s are allowed, but with a few caveats: proper credit must be given to the artist, and if the artist has asked to not have their art used, then please respect that. Picrew’s (with a link to the one you used) are also allowed, as are commissioned or hand-drawn art. Descriptions are also allowed!
  
  ✩ Some clarification: hair color =/= personality. It is expected in the society of the RP for the color of one’s hair to be the thing that defines the person, but that is not usually the case. Characters can have whatever personality traits or interests they like, even if they don’t align with the color of their hair!
  
  ✩ Be okay with characters getting injured. I’ll talk with you privately if the situation arises, but do understand that the plot is likely to get violent and there will be injuries and maybe even deaths. I won’t kill off any of your guys’ characters, though, unless you want me to? If you want your character to get hurt or die to add to the plot, then feel free to talk with me about it!
  
  ✩ Be respectful to everyone. Don’t be a jerk. Just be nice to each other. If I see something that I think is a problem, then I will talk with whoever I need to in order to resolve the situation. If someone is making you uncomfortable, please let me know so that it can be dealt with. I don’t want anyone to feel isolated or like they have to walk on eggshells in my group.
  
  ✩ PLEASE be active and dedicated and excited for this RP. People who like sharing memes and talking about our characters and making pinterest boards and playlists, or those nosy detective types who ask questions and have theories, are the type of people I’m looking for.
  
  ✩ As I am GM, what I say goes. I’m more than happy to hear out ideas and I love when players contribute to the story, but I do want to stick to the plot and lore and world closely. Please don’t be afraid to talk to me about anything you want to - I promise I’m very open-minded and friendly!
