The year was 2023, when America collapsed after a war with the Sino-Russian republic, an alliance between China, Russia, and Vietnam. The entire country is split into factions and city-states, each warring with each other over insignificant amounts of land. The entire country, save the New CSA. The entire South had been the first to secede from the dying USA, which only hastened its' collapse. It alone stood, as the bulwark of the west. The New CSA was still by far the largest country North America, and a close rival and ally of Brazil. The year now is now 2041. The CSA has only grown more powerful, slowly annexing nearby city-states. Meanwhile, the rest of America collapsed further. Different districts of even cities warred for access to the ocean, or office buildings. Two factions had formed. One was the Coalition of the Eastern Seaboard, an alliance of everything east of the Mississippi river.(Other than the CSA) The other was The Western Alliance, everything west of the Mississippi.(Other than the CSA) Few neutral nations remained, for fear that they would be annexed. And neither side attacked each other, for fear that the CSA would join in and crush them. The CSA didn't attack, for fear that the others would ally and crush them. This story begins on a scorching August evening, in Atlanta, the capital of the New CSA. The top generals of the CSA had gathered in a bunker to discuss the current state of affairs. They turn to you.
A tall one, with a sturdy face and piercing eyes asks the question.
