Ventuswill
Wind Dragon
Once, long ago, there existed the Celestial Empire. A land that lay far away in the heavens, it was inhabited by creatures large and small who travel the sky. Star beings populated it, the denizens of faraway constellations who took it upon themselves to populate the land with the flora and fauna of Earth, keeping their favorite things locked tightly away here. By the empress of the land, seven starry warriors were chosen to protect the kingdom's treasure- the Virtue Orb. A gem possessing strong elemental magic, it cast a barrier around the land that protected its citizens from the dangers that lurked beyond the edges of the Celestial Empire. As demons and hellbeasts crept closer, having corrupted and broken other skylands that they had come across, the great shield and the seven warriors were enough to repel them. These seven, the Precure, fought against the demons in order to keep them at bay. They often attempted to talk them down and reform them, and were quite successful in that! Their defeated opponents often became friends, joining arm in arm with the star beings in order to protect the kingdom and help it flourish.
All was well for quite a long time.
Yet, there was an instance... of the Celestial Empire running into a second kingdom, one that was quickly expanding its borders past all other land on the island. Compared to this faction, the Empire was rather miniscule. This opposition had a name- Pandora. Made up of corrupted star beings who simply saw the Celestials as an obstacle, they had been the ones constantly sending demons out in order to try and pass through the border. They saw the Virtue Orb as the key to their success- if Pandora could conquer the Empire and steal away the Orb, perhaps they could create an eternal kingdom that no one could threaten to harm.
The Celestials, a peaceful people who had experienced little more than border skirmishes, were shocked and horrified at the proposition of war. Besides the Precure, who simply used self-defense to eradicate spies and infiltrators, they had no army to defend themselves. Pandora had ships, a force 10,000 spirits strong, and utilized a dark magic capable of burning its way through the holy barrier in order to take the land for themselves.
It wasn't long before the Precure were sent out to fight. Yet, while they battled bravely and all the while attempted to discourage the leader of Pandora... they were overpowered, and the barrier compromised. The Celestial Palace along with the fair empress were deposed and the palace was destroyed, allowing Pandora to add to their empire and take the residents of the land hostage. All the while, they destroyed the flora and fauna they deemed 'unfit' to rest in their kingdom's borders.
The rest slowly vanished to history, the Celestials never recovering and slowly dying out after much of the corruption and forced labor by Pandora. The Virtue Orb, the very thing that had been keeping the Celestial Empire properly sanctified and safe, was broken into shards that were tossed far below to the Earth, in order to make sure that no resistance or rebellion would be possible. Yet, even so many years after... it's said that the abilities of the Precure do rest within those shards. If someone were to recover them and place them back into a single gem... could they have a chance of ending Pandora's evil reign?

In this roleplay, the Precures-- or, at the very least, the first seven applicants- will be associated with the following Virtue Fragments. Note that your characters aren't going to start out as Precure, and will be recruited as the story continues.
Aether Fragment - the representation of Love, it has to deal with kindness and compassion for all others, regardless of who they are. It has no element and is simply the hollow remnant of what the Virtue Orb once was. Though, legend has it that it may have once belonged to the most powerful Cure who lived. It's clear as glass.
Chill Fragment - the representation of Purity, it has to deal with wisdom, insight, and having an unshakable moral compass. Associated with the element of Ice, it once belonged to a Cure tactician who could outwit any foe who dared to challenge her. It's still a gleaming white.
Thunder Fragment - the representation of Justice, it has to deal with self-control and the leadership of oneself and others. Associated with the element of Electricity, it once belonged to a Cure who tried to reform those who committed crimes against the kingdom. It still faintly shimmers gold.
Quake Fragment - the representation of Zeal, it has to do with diligence, strong ethics, and standing by what one believes in. Associated with the element of Earth, it once belonged to a Cure who worked day and night until she gained the strength to move the mountains. It's still a deep forest green.
Sea Fragment - the representation of Patience, it has to deal with forgiveness, grace and the calming of violence. Associated with the element of Water, it once belonged to a Cure alchemist who could heal the wounds of others with a single touch. It's still a pretty, azure blue.
Zephyr Fragment - the representation of Trust, it has to do with friendship for friendship's sake and loyalty to those one loves the most. Associated with the element of Wind, it once belonged to a Cure who made friends of her enemies and once had tea with an entire army. It's still a shining, royal violet.
Heat Fragment - the representation of Bravery, it has to deal with selflessness and helping those who need it the most. Associated with the element of Fire, it once belonged to a Cure knight who vehemently fought for the kingdom, yet never killed a single soul. It's still a passionate red.

The setting is now a modern-day Earth, with the few remaining residents of what used to be the Empire assisting human beings in recovering the shards in order to recover the Empire as well as stopping Pandora from setting their sights on the planet.
