PP2 The New Legacy

Pieter sat down so that Beca was between him and Kommissar. They placed their drink orders first and waited until the waiter left to talk.

"What are you thinking about getting, leibe?" Pieter asked both Kommissar and Beca. He gently stroked Beca's hair, wanting to feel the softness.

Beca shrugged, letting Pieter stroke her hair. It felt nice and she didn't want to move. "I don't know Papa...."

Pieter pointed out a few dishes that were said to be favorites at the restaurant. He decided on what he wanted before helping the other two.

Beca took a while longer before she was ready to order. She wanted something light for their lunch but still filling.

Pieter helped his wife decide on what food she wanted and Beca looked at the dessert options they had. She had always liked to do that since she was little. If it was her choice, they'd have dessert first.

When the waiter came, Pieter ordered for all of them. He then glared at the young man because he was making eyes at Beca. He even winked at her.

Beca blushed as she noticed the waiter flirting with her. She looked down, not used to so much attention.

Pieter coughed to get the waiter's attention. When the man looked at him, Pieter glared and sent him away, scaring him a bit.

Beca turned to Kommissar and hid her face in the woman's side. She was becoming very comfortable with the two Germans.

It wasn't long before the waiter came back with their food. This time, he didn't even look and Beca and stepped away as fast as he could from the table.

Pieter smirked in success at seeing the man so skittish. He grinned to himself like a proud father for stopping his flirting.

Beca giggled softly at her father as they began eating. He looked so funny. "Papa, I think you scared him."

As they ate, Pieter would usually stop to chat a little bit like a real family lunch. Other than that, the meal was quiet and full of them enjoying their meals.

When they were done, Beca looked between the two Germans for a few moments before picking up the dessert menu and pointing to a chocolate cake. "Papa, can we get some?"

Pieter looked at the item on the menu for a few moments before looking down to his daughter. "If your mother says it is okay, maus."

Beca smiled and when the waiter came to pick up their plates, she ordered the chocolate cake.

Pieter put his arm around the back of the booth so his arm was over Kommissar's shoulders and above Beca's head.

When they were finished with lunch, the small family headed back to the hotel they were staying at. When they arrived, the all split up to do their own thing until dinner. After dinner, they all began to get ready for bed.

Well, Beca got a text asking if she wanted to go to a party at midnight. She sent back that she would go. Then she remembered that her curfew was eleven.

The brunette shrugged. She could just slip out without her parents noticing, probably going while they were alseep.

Kommissar was lounging on her and Pieter's bed, her hair down. She had a book in front of her, and she lay there reading. She smiled and looked at the ceiling. Today had been fun for her, and she was glad that they were able to do things like go out for dinner.

She sighed contentedly, and waited for Pieter to come to bed. She was growing tired, but wanted to wait for her husband.

Pieter had been on his laptop. He was looking over news from Germany so they could stay updated. When he saw Kommissar put his book down, he smiled and turned off his laptop before going to the bed.

"Tired, leibe?" he asked quietly, kissing her forehead.

Kommissar nodded and cuddled up to him. Today had been pretty eventful, and it had taken a lot out of her. She placed her head on his shoulders and smiled. "I love you. Thank you for agreeing to all of this. I wasn't sure if this is what you wanted, but you went along with it." She looked at him. "I'm truly lucky to have you." She smiled and yawned.

"Let's get some sleep."

Pieter didn't say anything. He felt that he didn't need to because Kommissar's words were perfect. With a kiss to his wife's head, Pieter closed his eyes and went to sleep.

Beca had been waiting. She had gotten dressed and ready for the party and was just waiting until she was sure her parents were asleep.

When she heard no more noise and saw no more light, the brunette slipped into their room to make sure before leaving quietly.

Kommissar woke up the next morning quite early. She stretched slightly and moved out from under the coves. She then got up and went to the kitchen. She made a cup of coffee before walking into Beca's room.

Before entering, she knocked on the door. When she received no reply, she frowned and walked in.

Feeling his wife get up from the bed, Pieter woke up also. He yawned before getting up and going to take a shower.

Beca was just on her way back gome from the party that lasted until five thirty in the morning when her parents woke up.

Kommissar opened the door and looked in the room. She realised the brunette wasn't in there and looked around the hotel room. She frowned and looked for any notes that may indicate why Beca had dissappeared.

When Pieter came out of the shower, she turned to him. "Have you seen Beca at all? She's not anywhere."

Pieter looked at his wife confusedly. He was sure Beca had been in her room. "No. Are you sure she's not in here?" he asked the blonde.

Beca chose that moment to swipe the key card and enter her hotel room. She sighed in relief, thinking that her parents were still asleep.
