Back in 2008, approximately five percent of the recorded human population gained abilities. These abilities were given several names: magic, powers, gifts, etc. Nobody knows where they came from, but it didn't take long for some of the newly powerful people to turn into professional criminals. Be it complex thievery or inhuman murder, the government created an organization for anyone with powers who was willing to track down and capture any of these criminals. Members of this group became known as Heroes, while anyone it hunted was dumbed down to being called Villains. There are some villains who become hunters too, but instead they hunt heroes to aid their criminal community. You are gifted and you have powerful intentions. Whether those intentions are good or bad, that is for you to decide.
