Bug Posts have incorrect days of posting listed

I've noticed this issue for a while now when documenting every post in an rp I'm in onto a google sheet, including dates of posting. Many, but not all posts I come across will have the wrong day listed, leading to things looking quite odd. For example, there will be a post listed as Wednesday 10pm, followed by a post listed as Wednesday 12am, like the screenshot I've attached.

Is there a fix to this or is it just a silly forum quirk. If it makes a difference, I am in UK time, but I have my time set to UTC-5 for the forum (for consistency in my post-documenting).

Does this happen in threads you keep open in your browser tab? If so, refresh the page and see if that fixes it. We do sometimes get odd quirks if a page is left open and posts are made to it since it was last refreshed. (I've seen posts with a timestamp like "Five minutes from now," i.e. in the future, because of this.)

I don't keep the thread open, this happens when I open the thread

Can you link the thread? I've not heard of this happening other than what I've mentioned already, so I'd like to look further into it.

i've noticed this when opening in specific browsers- ie i have a link to a thread in discord, so i open the thread on my phone in discord's browser. it shows the wrong time/date unless i open it in a different browser.

Realistic or Modern - New Oasis: Four Heavenly Kings — The B-Sides <- here's the page the example is from, but this problem has been occurring for at least all of 2023

If it's an unknown problem I almost suspect it's due to some confusion about me manually setting the timezone away from my actual timezone, since most users wouldn't be doing that. Because in the above example, the first post would've been posted on Wednesday in my real timezone, but should be showing Tuesday 10:58pm according to the timezone setting

Acknowledging mousecreant's point, I use chrome on mobile and pc. I always open the thread from chrome (not via discord or anything else)

Adding to what I said, I really don't know anything about this problem so my theory may make no sense at all

Thanks! Both of the pages you linked have the date/timestamps in order when I look at them, for what it's worth. Possibly RpN, your browser, and your operating system are in disagreement over the time, as you said? I can't think of anything else offhand that would explain it.

Do you also have your RpN timezone set to a different timezone from the one you're in, or at least the one Discord thinks you're in? Also, are you using the same link each time, or is it a different link (if it's generated to take you to the newest unread reply, for example)?

That seems most likely. It isn't a big deal, just throws me for a loop sometimes when I'm trying to figure out what dates things have actually been posted on. Thanks for checking it out for me.

both rpn and discord is set as the same timezone, i think it's just an issue with the browser discord sends me to. i mostly posted cus i thought it may be a browser issue for op as well.
