Post Merging

Roleplay Availability
Roleplay Type(s)
Post merging is quite useful when someone does quick responses, but at times when someone is setting up a roleplay, or even wanting to test out coding, it can get annoying when posts merge.

I was recently playing around with coding in my Workshop, and wanted to test out a code separate from the post above. It had been about 58 minutes since I posted with the previous post, and when I posted up the new BBCode post, it merged together. It wasn't what I wanted, because the two posts were considered unrelated to one another.

When attempting to set up a roleplay, or even play around with individual BBCodes that aren't related to the post above, waiting 24 hours so that it won't merge is a hassle.

I would like to suggest shortening the merge time to maybe about 15 to 30 minutes after the previous post.

If this is an unreasonable suggestion, please let me know.

You can always ask a friend to post, then post yourself, then delete your friend's post. Alternatively, use tapatalk - it doesn't merge posts. :)

Merging is disabled in a few of the forums - perhaps it can be disabled in the Workshop. That's really a question for Wiz, though.

@Dusky Ah, yeah that was just brought to my attention. I feel like having a friend post for you is an extra step, and then when you don't have a smartphone/don't use mobile apps, its somewhat of a hassle. I feel like its a tad inconvenient. xD

The post merging was made to stop people from spamming posts, or yah know, getting their first 10 posts quick by posting numbers or some nonsense. Though, I don't see why it shouldn't be disabled in places where posts aren't counted, which I think the Private Workshop is such a place. :3
