Possible to embed HTML?

Hey there!

Quick question: is it possible to embed HTML here? I don't think so since the site primarily uses BBCode, but it never hurts to ask xD

Cheers!

You could display HTML like this:

Code:
<a href="https://rpnation.com">Best Roleplay Site Ever</a>

but even without the 'code' BBCode it would display like this with 'plain' BBCode:

<a href="[URL="https://rpnation.com"]https://rpnation.com">Best[/URL] Roleplay Site Ever</a>

As I'm sure you understand, the whole reason for BBCode is to restrict the certain HTML users are allowed to use. I'm not sure whether I answered your exact question, but I hope I helped you in some way regardless. BBCode is HTML. If you tried using RpNation's BBCode elsewhere, you would likely struggle with a few things. Bold, italics, underline and strike-through would likely be fine, but things like newspaper, print, field set, and image float would give you a bit of a hard time. Granted, Iwaku would have some of the same aspects because they also use Xenforo, but it would be a lot harder with other sites run with different softwares.

Full HTML is something that will never be supported, least the software and the webstandard change drastically.

One mistake can crash entire pages.

Forum Softwares even older ones are designed in such a way that HTML can't be used and thats where BBCode came in. The full name is actually Bulletin Board(what forums technically are and used to be called) Code
