I've made over 10 posts at this point but I'm still getting restricted access to the site, plus the number of posts isn't correct either - is it just that the system is being slow to update at the moment, or does it generally take a certain period of time for the notice to go away? Thanks!

Hey, general discussion does not currently count for posts.


It does take up to half an hour once you get 10 posts to receive the proper permissions.

Yes, the GD 'no-post count' is to ensure that when a spam bot somehow infiltrates past the copious layers of security we run, they will not have almost immediate access to the PM system, since most bots seek out the GD/Off-Topic forum and post there,
