  While Aria isn't technically a narcissist, she sure as hell could pass for one. Not that she's completely self-absorbed or anything, but she is standoffish and tends to keep to herself. She's never had the chance to really make friends or acquaintances and only interacts with her fans, whom she's incredibly kind to, or people who work for her or her father, whom she's not so nice to for the most part. Aria is stubborn as they come and anxious when it comes to new people, but she hides this behind tantrums and anger because she's embarrassed of being so anxious. She just wants to be liked, she was an idol after all, that's what she was taught.
  
  Her love lies with Pokemon though, and all thoughts go out the window when she sees a cute one, it's as if her anxiety up and vanishes and she can suddenly ask to pet or cuddle it. She likes to think she gets along better with the creatures than she does humans, but really she just hasn't been able to put in the effort.   Aria found her partner in Eevee when she was relatively young. Growing up on Delphia Island near the Garden of Harmony, she would play with the wild Pokemon, dancing and singing to her little heart’s content! When she was eight she found an injured Eevee and took it to the Pokemon Center to help it back to health. Nurse Joy let her stay with it while it was resting and after that, Eevee never left her side again. The two were joined at the hip.
  
  Her family raised her to be incredibly caring when interacting with Pokemon, and for a while she had a fear of battling due to the thought that it was hurting them. However, after being attacked by an older kid, her partner, Eevee, jumped in and showed her that it liked battling. After this she grew more comfortable with the idea and eventually found her dream of competing in contests to show her unique style of battling.
  
  She’s incredibly compassionate and has always had dreams, but usually puts others first, even when she shouldn’t have to. It’s been that way her whole life and she doesn’t know a different way. Unbeknownst to most, Aria is one of those people who thinks almost everything is funny. She laughs at just about everything except puns, those aren’t for her. Once she comes out of her industry crafted shell, Viola has a sarcastic and sometimes mean side that she has to watch herself with, but it’s only because her personality has been repressed for all those years.
  
  By the time Aria was fifteen, her father was on the verge of being fired from his managing gig due to no successful acts coming through. It was always a known fact that Viola could sing, and she’d dance alongside her Pokemon when practicing new techniques for contests, but in order to save her Dad she offered herself as a new star, thinking it would be fun. Although it started out that way, by the time she turned twenty, things were far from fun. Viola came to realize her father was just using her to bring in money and now that she was an adult, she wanted out.
  
  Of course her love for music and performing never left, but she was simply worn out from all of the touring and press events that felt like they’d never end all through her teenage years. Now, she’s back in Santoris, living in a quaint cottage close to Elder Elyssia so she can learn everything she knows. Aria has become somewhat of an elder in training underneath Elyssia and she wouldn’t have it any other way. Though, there are days where she longs to perform again, she simply puts that creative energy into songwriting and selling them off to other idols, continuing to make money that way. BIOGRAPHY/BACKGROUND: Ava was born in Slateport City, Hoenn and raised by her mothers Isabell and Michelle. Since she was little she was fascinated with the ocean, yet also terrified of what lay beneath. Ava would often read oceanography books and books on water pokemon for hours on end until her imagination ran so wild she'd have to take a break out of fear of the unknown. As she grew older, that fear turned into curiosity and an intense appetite for analysis. When she turned 10 years old, her older brother Alton would occasionally take her out on the open waters, teaching her about the water pokemon that lived there. As her understanding grew, so too did her need to be closer to them.

When she turned 11, her parents gave her her first pokemon to train- Psyduck. Like every other kid starting their first adventure, Ava was over the moon with excitement. What she nor her family had expected was for her to become interested in battle. It wasn't just about winning, or even about the thrill. No, Ava was curious to see just how strong water pokemon were. Why were people so terrified of underwater pokemon, as she once had been? Where was the rift that stood between them and humans?

When Ava turned 18, after her victory of beating every gym leader in the Hoenn region, she had taken up school to become a marine biologist, and had accepted the invitation to take over the water type pokemon gym. Since then she's been busy traveling to different regions, working on her studies as well as learning to get stronger while her brother substitutes at her gym while she's away.

Parents? What parents? As far as Shinya's concerned, both of them died after she turned five. With her mother being a career trainer and her father a researcher, Shinya's grandmother was her primary caretaker. As a retired trainer, she had plenty of time to groom Shinya into a star. Once she turned seven, she attended the local trainer academy and graduated with high marks.

Shinya was a firebomb raining disorder onto the Galarian circuit. With nothing more than an endorsement letter from the trainer academy, her sweep through the first three gym challenges garnered the attention from competitors and sponsors alike. She was manic. She was raised by a wild Obstagoon. She was a PR nightmare. Only two of those things were true. She was hardly diagnosed with anything. Her crazy eyes were more of a quirk than a concern. Oh and the whole Obstagoon thing. She blamed the media for taking her sarcasm out of context for that one. Either way, she had as many fans as she had enemies.

After three years of building a team and earning badges, she finally defeated the reigning champion of Galar and took up the helm. It was the pinnacle of success, a feeling unrivaled by anything else in life, yet the satisfaction fleeted as fast as it came. There were no more rivals in her region and anybody who wanted to be friends with her only did so as a means of gaining social capital.

She decided to look into visiting other regions to look for worthy opponents and stumbled on Santoris. Though there were no official tournaments, it seemed to have promise. Thus she began her journey.

The most accurate term for her demeanor would be extroverted with a touch of ego. Shinya knows that she's an amazing trainer and revels in the chance to prove her detractors wrong. She hungers for competition and surrounds herself with those that challenge her physically, mentally, or strategically. It isn't enough for her Pokemon to be the best. Her battles have to be hard fought, limit breaking, and end in her victory. She despises stomps, finding them to be a waste of time while simultaneously taking losses to heart. Depending on how wide the margin is, she'll spiral into week long bouts of crying and training before demanding a rematch. She can't seem to find a happy medium between being the "best" and having something to strive for. Like a Yamper that's caught up to the car, she feels directionless without a rival.

BIOGRAPHY/BACKGROUND - Randall was born to a loving pair of scientists who made their home in Shalour, the pair having lived there for years studying the mega evolution phenomenon that had its roots there. Growing up, Randall was constantly surrounded by fellow scientists and visiting trainers, many of whom had incredible and powerful Pokémon who he was fascinated by. As he got older he found that he didn't enjoy the lab work, the sitting and writing out notes for hours at a time, and the careful repetition of an experiment. he wanted to explore, to see the world!

His parents, however, had their concerns about this, and so Randall wasn't allowed to get a Pokémon of his own for years. It wasn't until he turned eighteen that he was finally allowed to travel to Lumiose City, seek out Professor Sycamore there, and finally choose a starter pokemon for himself, his Fennekin. From Lumiose he began to travel, taking a flight to Alola for a vacation first as a gift from his parents, and then traveling to Sinnoh to begin training there. At both of these locations he found another Pokémon who decided to join him, growing his small team to a trio, and his Fennekin was able to evolve into a Braixen, growing its power. And now, over a year into his travels, he has decided to set forth for Santoris.

BIOGRAPHY/BACKGROUND - Ophelia grew up in Castelia City, with her and her twin brother pretty much raising themselves. Something not made easier by her curiosity and her brother's naivety and willingness to help. They got into trouble, almost constantly. If there was trouble going on in the city, the Sinclairs had something to do with it. Or at least they were sticking their noses into it. But eventually as Ophelia got older she set her eyes towards bigger things. She had always loved ancient myths and the textbooks dissecting them for every bit of truth. However, there was only so much you could learn from scouring libraries-- She wanted to be there herself. She wanted to see the legends with her own eyes.

So, Ophelia did the stupidest thing you can do. She set off on a journey without a pokemon, reasoning that all she would need is caution and a level head. Besides, relic castle was practically in Castelia's backyard, what's the worst that could happen?

Unsurprisignly, Ophelia emerged with a healthy fear of sandpits, a life lesson and most surprisingly, a friend. Velvet, a gothorita with her own delusions of grandeur that saved Ophelia from dying down in the depths. Ever since then the two of them have been inseperable, travelling from region to region searching for secrets in the most remote and dangerous area. Now their sights are set on a slightly calmer venue. A festival surrounding legendaries traditionally celebrated in johto-- An interesting topic but certainly nothing dangerous. Or so they think.
