[Pokemon Prismatic]Something in the Attic!

NoviceOfRoleplay

One Thousand Club
I played with the 4 newly bought Potions in my hand. Alexander saw the glint in my eye and new this was going to be a tough day. My thoughts of training were ranging from making a hole with bear hands, or carrying a few boulders on our backs.

"Alright Alexander, boulders or digging holes-what do you think?"

He didn't answer, just a slow nod.

"Why aren't you more excited? I'm giving you the same training Dragon-types get, think how powerful you'll be when you know there techniques."

Alexander grunted; then I got an alert on my Pokédex.

Quest Giver at entrance to Pitch Forest. Trainer needed!

A smile crept on my face, and I look toward Pitch Forest only a kilometer away.

"Alexander I think I found us some interesting training, come on."

Alexander walked, slumped, kinda slow, so I picked him up and quickly walked to the quest. Alexander didn't like being picked up, tried his best to squirm. However, I have a good grip, all his struggle did was wake him up-all part of the plan. I stood at the entrance to Pitch Forest.

Dark bark stood side by side, bushes were still, ominous. Branches above shook every couple of second and, if I was lucky, would see a pair of eyes and a few leaves dancing down. I could only see the path to the forest a few feet in, then black with a few spots of light. Anticipation gripped me.

"Alexander I hope the Quest goes inside this place, just think of all strong, dangerous Pokemon inside."

For some reason Alexander gave of a not-so-keen face, not fear, but a teenager's sas.

I walked along the right side of the entrance, just as given to me by the Quest Info. I saw the Quest Hiver standing under the shade of a tree part of the forest.

The Quest Giver, was an old man with a frown sewn on his face. His clothes were tints of brown all over. His shirt had two thick-vertical stripes of a dull yellow, the rest was potato colored. His cargo pants were extremely rich brown, and a yellow belt to hold it up. His head, all the hair went to a flowing beard.

I tried shaking his hand, he gave me an Alexander grunt. I bit my tongue and gave a solemn face.

"So what did you need help with."

Surprisingly, the man had a sad voice,"I'm just so tired of the attic. Day and night, creaks and creaks. I'm...but a old fool. Come to my house, now, please."

It felt a bit strange seeing an elder with low pride. All of my grandparents had a sense of pride for surviving the twists of life and constantly wanted to be congratulated on it.

We walked through the line of plains and forest to his house.

A quaint house, faded yellow on the outside, inside a hall and two rooms. I sat down in his living room. A stitched couch and a leather chair was all there was to sit, but to look at...Clocks filled the walls, one brass one even covered the single window wonderfully. I stayed focus on the Old Man opposite to me, he was trying to stay still in the leather chair. Alexander's eyes were wondering and anticipating the next Ding!]of another clock.

"So there is a Pokemon in your attic? Alright, that shouldn't be too hard."

"It's not just another Pokemon, I don't care about the Rattata up there, but this new Pokemon. Dreams every night, in all of them I-I've been trapped in the attic. They weren't nesscarily bad, at first. Then you understand how-how trapped you really are an-an..."

Old Man started breathing heavy, I calmed him with some breathing exercise.

Alexander and I drunk a cup of green tea, then started to the attic.

The man pulled the attic ladder in the hallway hesitantly. The steps creaked as me and Alexander walked up. The attic had a few holes in the ceiling, allowing the only light source in the house. I could muster the paintings of various trainers thrown about in junk I could figure out at a first glance. I picked one strange wooden cube, decorative engravings all over it. Alexander repeatedly tested the floorboards just to hear the squeak they would make.

So I was the only one still on guard when the Rattata attacked.

The Rattata leaped out of a pile of boxes to the left of Alexander. Alexander heard the assault but was still processing the last creak.

I had to quickly shout,
"Alexander use Water Gun!"

A stream of water shot out of Alexander's mouth, it connected with the Rattata and sent it crashing into the boxes it came from.

Battle Start

no slide

Rattata HP: 19-4=15
(seems unesscary to roll die for 100% accuracy attacks when no one is going to use a accuracy dropping move, however, as last time, will do so if needed.)

The Rattata was as wild as a Pokemon can get. It's fur had pockets of dust, and a little chip on the Pokemon's tooth. Rattata lunged at Alexander again, he sent Alexander flying through two piles if junk with Tackle.

Alexander HP:26-7=19
I was surprised by the strength of Rattata. The Pokemon's Tackle was obviously stronger then Alexander's. Alexander's anger bubbled and he turned to me for an order.

"Alexander use Water Gun again!"

Rattata HP: 15-4=11
The Rattata was losing breath, but it's speed didn't drop. The floor was sprawled with junk(hoped that the Old Man didn't mine), and the Rattata weaved through it with great speed. It used Tackle into Alexander's stomach.

Alexander HP: 19-7=12
Alexander pushed his feet in the ground and only slid a bit away. The damage was still a lot.

"Hang in there a bit longer, just keep using Water Gun."

My voiced calmed, I realized Alexander could take the hits long enough to throwback enough for a K.O. I'd have to give him a potion after though.

Alexander used Water Gun on Rattata, Rattata was bobbing and weaving toward Alexander, but the it connected.

Rattata HP: 11-4=7
But Rattata pushed through the stream and Tackle Alexander.

Alexander HP: 12-7=5
I quickly rethought the battle, Alexander had taken a good beating, his breaths getting too slow. I ran over a the junk and got behind Alexander to use a Potion.

Alexander HP: 5+20=25
Potion: 6-1=5
Alexander's scratches disappeared, just in time for another Tackle by Rattata.

Alexander HP: 25-7=18
Alexander ran toward Rattata and faked a Tackle, and use Water Gun from behind the Rattata.

Rattata HP: 7-4=3
The Rattata used another Tackle, but was finished with a Water Gun.

Alexander HP: 18-7=11
Rattata HP: 3-4=0
Battle Finished

Alexander and I were relieved. He did a little dance in front of the fainted Pokemon. I felt a sense of pride in Alexander and petted his head. The quest was complete and it was time for the reward...I thought. We heard a rustle pass the the fainted Rattata.

Battle Begin

Me and Alexander tensed up. Alexander used Water Gun at the rustle, a Rattata came out.

Rattata HP: 19-4=15
The Rattata jumped to it's feet and used Tackle.

Alexander HP: 11-7=4
I used a Potion.

Alexander HP: 4+20=24
Potion:5-1=4
Which gave an opening to Rattata.

Alexander HP: 24-7=17
I stepped away from the fight and let the two tussle, these Rattata weren't a huge threat and knew with a few Potions we could handle this with ease. It was just Tackle vs Water Gun.

Rattata HP: 15-4=11
Alexander HP: 17-7=10
Rattata HP: 11-4=7
I actually began to investigate while the battle went on. Wanted to make sure there wasn't any more Pokemon surprises.

The heard a yelp from Alexander.

Alexander HP: 10-7=3
I ran back over to the battle and used a Potion.

Alexander HP: 3+20=23
Potion:4-1=3
I refocused on the battle since the scarcity of Potions struck me. Rattata and Alexander were staring at each other in a make shift battle square. The Rattata use Tackle, but Alexander grabbed it after the attack and use Water Gun at point blank, he shot the Pokemon out of the circle.

Alexander HP: 24-7=17
Rattata HP: 7-4=3
Rattata tilted side to side in the mess of junk. The Pokemon had one last good attack in him though. He use Tackle, and got Alexander. This time Alexander repeated his last move but made the Rattata faint as it was slammed into a wall.

Alexander HP: 17-7=10
Rattata HP: 3-4=0
Battle Finished

I gave Alexander a Potion.

Potion: 3-1=2
"This is some pretty good training. You did great. Let's do a quick look around the place before we say were good this time."

Alexander gave me condescending eyes, but with a smile. I knew when a Pokemon felt good about a battle. We trudged through paintings and more of those strange wodden blocks, everything seemed clear, then I heard a little cry from the opposite end of the room while trying to examine a piece of cardboard.

It was in the left corner, so I follows the left wall, and a path was already, sorta, carved into the floor. Small space with columns of boxes blocking my sight of the room. Ahead, I kept hearing that weak cry.

Right as I was a few feet from the cry, the final Rattata appeared.

Rattata burted through a column of boxesI quickly jumped backward to let Alexander jump forward and use Water Gun.

Rattata HP: 19-4=15
Though I didn't know how shaky the columns got after that burst and all of them came crashing down. I got my head to nudge out too witness Rattata's Tackle.

Rattata HP: 19-4=15
Alexander HP: 26-7=19
I was a bit dazed still as I rose. The boxes were quite heavy and took a goof hit on the head. I watched the pair. Rattata was looking around, seemed Alexander disaoeared-Alexander shot up from underneath the Rattata with a Water Gun.

Rattata HP: 15-4=11spoiler]

The Pokemon flew up high and landed on its back. Alexander was stood with his hands on his hips.

The Rattata didn't liked to be mocked and used Tackle.

Alexander HP: 19-7=12
Alexander tries gaining distance with a Water Gun to push him and the Rattata far away from each other.

Rattata HP: 11-4=7
However the Rattata sqirmed underneath the junk, that filled all of the attic floor. I knew what was coming so started to Alexander with a Potion, as expected, the Rattata popped underneath Alexander.

Alexander HP: 12-7=5
Alexander was thrown up, but I caught him and gave him a Potion.

Potion: 2-1=1
Down to my last Potion.

"Alright Alexander, only got 1 Potion left, but I think you finish that rat off."

I set down Alexander, he runs at the Rattata, purposely letting himself get Tackle.

Alexander HP: 25-7=17
Then he shot Rattata with his Water Gun.

Rattata HP: 7-4=3
Rattata's wasn't going to last another hit, it gave us a hiss and a final,"Raat-" before it launched it's final Tackle.

Alexander HP: 17-7=10
Alexander took the attack and returned with Water Gun.

Rattata HP: 3-4=0
Battle Finished

The dust settled, literally, Alexander and I were still hearing that weak cry. Across the room free of debris was an Abra next to a half eaten Oran Berry. It's breathing was slow and it tried in vain to reach fir the Oran Berry. I approached Abra while wondering how it got up here and how those scratches appeared all over its body. The Rattata's seemed to be the culprits. Though the Abra probably put up a good fight in the struggle.

Alexander tried holding up Abra, but it squealed when touch. So it was reluctant when I bent down to it, even though I had a Potion in hand.

Potion:1-0=0
We left the Old Man to enjoy his Abra free home. He did give a bitter goodbye, with money and a Great Ball. Me and Alexander were tired and hoped that the Old Man would take us in for the night. We camped right outside Pitch Forest's entrance. Alexander and I cuddled next to the flame to enjoy a packages of peanuts I packed. We also realized that night that we were out of food.
