the world of Pokemon has shifted. Suddenly more and more Pokemon started claiming they were once human. they don't exactly remember their lives; or sometimes even their own names, but they all know what they looked like.

every Pokemon seems to remember being human, or the wild ones at least. the moment they are caught, the memories just disappear as if they were always the creature they are now.

wild Pokemon spent more time getting along, hunting each other less and less, for the idea of killing a human made them uncomfortable (or most of them at least)

the goal for now is to make as many friends as you can.

Amy sits in a small clearing with eggshells surrounding her. she is confused. the last thing she remembers was being in the street with her friends when suddenly... she was here.

she blinks once, twice, three times. She tries to see, but something is covering her main line of vision; almost like hair, but different. she tries to move before hearing a voice

"it hatched!"

she couldn't quite make out what was in front of her. it didn't look human, but it was almost shaped like one. Whatever it was made her feel strangely calm, as she felt she was safe.

whatever it was scurries off and brings back a leaf holding water, "drink this"

Amy moves her hand to accept it and notices a change. Her hand is pure white and it looks as if she's wearing oven mitts. she screams in panic. the shape she can barely see also starts to freak out.

"are you a rock type?!?" It drops the water, "I'm sorry! Ill make some mud!"

"what happened to me!!!", Amy falls out of the remainder of the egg she was inside and sees the Abra in full view.

The abra drops the mud it made and sits down, "oh... It's just that... You were human too?"

"Were what? I still am!", Amy cries out

"No... you aren't...", The abra studies her, "I think you might be a ralts…."

Lance padded through a forest trail with his head down and yellow eyes flicking from side to side. His situation seemed explainable, he'd gone to sleep, and woken up the next day as a... cat. That was what he seemed to be anyway. He'd been trapped in this body for three days now, he'd spent the first day doing nothing but panicking. When Lance realized this wasn't some dream he'd run around this forest with no real destination in mind, he'd eventually found a cave to shelter in but he hadn't dared staying in it past the first night. The darkness was sweet and calming, and he didn't seem to have trouble seeing in it, but he hadn't felt alone, he'd spent the sleepless night with the feel of eyes watching his every move. He'd departed the next morning, he spent the second day learning the capabilities of his form, he was pretty quick, could climb decently well... and apparently sneezed fire. What kind of cat was he again? Not any cat he'd ever heard of.

And now on the third day he was hungry, he hadn't really eaten at all throughout his first few days as a cat, so now he was famished on the lookout for, whatever it was cats ate in the forest. Mice? Birds? Lance didn't find those ideas very appetizing.

Lance stopped in his tracks, his tail went straight up and his ears swiveled around every which way. Was that a scream? Yeah it definitely had been, that meant one very good thing and one very bad thing. He definitely wasn't alone in this place, but he didn't know if he wanted to know what caused someone to scream in such a fashion. Lance stood stock still for a moment until he figured the potential of finding someone to talk to was plenty enough reason to check it out, and maybe they needed help, whoever they were.

He rushed through the woods and pushed out into a clearing. Well he definitely wasn't alone, but these two didn't look like cats, or people. Well the green one kind of looked like a doll, but the yellow one only reminded him of like a kangaroo or something. Lance cocked his head at the strange creatures, he guessed he wasn't one to say anything being a fire breathing cat. "Is everything alright, I heard a scream and.." said Lance hesitantly. Half not expecting a response.

Amy continues to scream.

The abra looked to the cat, “Wow, a Litten. That’s rare“ he looks back to the ralts, “don’t worry about her, she’s just coming to terms with being a Pokemon now. A lot of people go through this. Did you used to be human by chance?

Lance looked from one of the pair to the other. So that meant the yellow one could talk, the other one probably could talk too. They were probably just as overwhelmed as he had been on his first day, maybe more.

“Litten? Is that what I am”? Inquired Lance, looking down at his black and red striped paws. This newfound discovery of his species was quickly overshadowed by the creature’s next question. “Wait, you mean I’m not the only one” he said. He quickly added. “I mean to say, yeah I am. I’ve been around for a couple of days now, name’s Lance”.

"Ah... My name's Markus, but you can call me Mark" The Abra continues, "I've been like this for a couple of months. I saw a trainer just kinda ditch this egg in the middle of nowhere and knew I had to take care of it. I guess that it came from a gardevior", he sighs, "I was a trainer as a human, so I thought I would have an idea of what Pokemon are like". he looks to the ralts, "I definitely didn't"

Amy quiets down a little at the sight of Lance, "a litten..."

“Well, it’s nice to meet you Markus” said Lance. The small cat Pokémon began to wonder just what could have happened to turn not just him but at least these two others into Pokémon. He didn’t even really know what a Pokémon was if he was being honest. He was about to ask what Markus was when his stomach growled.

He lowered his ears a little, being a tad embarrassed. “You wouldn’t happen to know where one can find something to eat around here, would you” he asked?

Markus smiles, “there’s actually food everywhere in this forest if you know where to look!”, he climbs one of the trees around them and comes down with a few pecha berries, “Im not the biggest fan of sweet, but these are pretty good, and from what I heard as a human they work as a good antidote for most poisons.

Amy stops screaming at the sight of food, “it’s sweet?

Markus hands them each a couple berries and begins eating one. He sets one aside for later, “they aren't very filling, but if those aren't enough, there are plenty here

Lance stood still as he watched Markus scale the tree and come back down with berrie’s he’d called Pecha berries. He looked down at them half hearing what he was saying but the prospect of food caused the fire type’s mouth to water and his stomach to sternly remind him of how hungry he was.

Lance dug in, the berries definitely had a sweet taste to them, a sweet flavor he wouldn’t have appreciated if he wasn’t so hungry.

When he finished he looked back up satisfied for the moment now he had questions. “You keep saying things like, Trainer, and Pokémon, and I’m gonna be honest I don’t know what any of that means. I guess we’re Pokémon? I heard you call me a Litten, but what are you” Lance asked.

Markus' ears perk up, "right! It seems that humans from different worlds were brought here through different ways", he eats another berry, "I come from a world very similar to this one if not the same world itself."

Amy starts listening to him a bit more carefully

"Pokemon are a kind of magical animal that have different types of abilities and powers that in your world would seem only possible in ledgends.", he eats another berry, "The thing about pokemon that makes them different to most animals from your world is that they go through a really huge change multiple times in their lives. Its something that people of this world call evolution."

"I think I know what you are talking about", Amy eats another berry, "it's like a butterfly!"

"kinda, but not really. Though there are some that are like it, most aren't", Markus looks at Lance, "You are something called a litten. It's a fire type cat-like Pokemon. You can evolve twice, but be careful, because if a human spots you, they might try to catch you. You are a pretty rare and hard to find in the wild; kind of like an endangered species." he starts to float off the ground, "Im something called an Abra. they are known for teleporting around and being really smart as they grow and evolve.", he stops eating berries

Issac ran through the forest he woke up yesterday and is now completely lost. He tried to looking for other people, but the more he looked the more lost he became. He was certain that there must be others, but he just couldn't find them.

Issac was amazed at what he had become he knew Riolus were good fighters but he didn't know they had this much stamina he had been running all day and night at top speeds and didn't even break a sweat. He couldn't wait to see what else he could do maybe he could do the aura move that a Lucario could.

As he was in the middle of thought he felt a new aura that wasn't a plant or a simple animal. "Could it be others" he walk over to where he felt the aura. He soon saw 3 other Pokémon a Ralts, a Abra, and a third that he had never seen before. "Hay" he called out.

“So I’m a rare collectible” said Lance. Thinking that over and deciding he didn’t quite like the idea of it. “And I’m fire type, I guess that explains the fire breathing. Do you feel any smarter then before or” he asked?

He began to speak again as he had a lot of questions he wanted answers, but he was interrupted when a two legged fox thing appeared and gave a greeting. “Oh, hi” he said back.

Marcus made a mental note of the unfinished question, "who are you?" , he calls out to the riolu

Amy looks at the Riolu, "It's like a blue dog!" she continues to stress eat the berries.

"I'm Issac i can't believe i found... other people? Is that right.. any way do you guys now where we are?"

“Not a clue, name’s Lance” said Lance returning the greeting and answering his question. He looked at Isaac and back to Markus, “So, is there anyway to go back to being myself or are we effectively stuck like this” he asked?

"Ive thought about it and I don't think any of the possibilities are a good Idea." Marcus looks down, "Its alright though, we just need to adjust a little...", he tosses the Riolu a berry, "catch, its good"

Issac caught the the berry and quickly ate he didn't seem to notice that he was hungry

"Thanks, I think it's awesome that I'm a Riolu plus I can't wait to evolve in to a Lucario also didn't really have a life, so this is a win for me"

He look at the Red cat Pokémon

"What type of Pokémon are you"

“So, we’re stuck like this... great. Not having hands is gonna take some getting used to” said Lance. Sitting down, and inspecting his paws for a second time.

He looked over to the Fox Pokémon. “Apparently I’m a Litten. What about you” he asked and answered?

"I'm a Riolu I'm a fighting type I also evolve in to a Lucario, I've never seen a Litten are you a fire type? What kind of moves do you have?"

Looking at the little red cat try to see if he would be fun to fight with.

Abra offers another berry, "He is a fire type, but we are not interested in fighting at the occasion. I just had an egg hatch." he offers more because he saw how quickly the very first one went, "please eat this and enjoy the shade."

Issac looks around and spots the Ralts and notices the the very confused and scared aura.

"Aah sorry I'm a little to excited about all this, and I still have a lot energy left I'll try to calm down a bit"

He sits down and beings to eat the berry finally noticing that it's sweet it's not his favorite but still tastes good he could really go for some meat though.

Amy sits and watches the others. she can tell they are calming down. She too starts to calm herself while eating berries.

"thank you" , Markus smiles and turns back to Lance, "so, your question?"

“I don’t really think I know any moves, except like fire-sneeze if that’s a thing”. Lance answered he looked over to Markus and nodded, “I just heard you mention something about me being able to evolve twice. I have a few questions about the subject, how do you do it? Is it painful? What would I become? What’s the point of it? I know it’s a lot but it seems that with every answer I just get more curious” said Lance.

Markus gives a patient smile, "It's okay, Lance.", he stretches, "to begin with, that fire sneeze is probably a move called Ember, and you can do it without sneezing if you try.", he laughs, "from what I've seen, it isn't painful. It just happens when your body has been through enough to change. you would become a slightly larger cat named torracat, and then a mighty incineroar. it is just a point of growing for Pokemon, and most love the idea of it.", he sighs, "I will eventually turn into a kadabra, then maybe an alakasam."

Lance nods at Markus his curiosity satisfied for the moment, he then looked at the other two pokemon taking stock of what he knew of them so far. Isaac seemed to be a lot more competent about being a pokemon then he did, and the other one whose name he had yet to learn seemed to be a lot more out of sorts then he was. So Lance was the middle ground here, okay fair enough. He looked up at a tree and decided it would be useful to know what the surrounding area looked like. "If anybody needs me I'll just be up there" he said pointing to the tree he intended to climb. The fire cat dug his claws into the bark and began to shimmy up the trunk.

Lance got his way up to the lower branches quickly, and having a few pawholds really helped to make the going easier. He noted that there were a few berries clustered on this tree, he didn't know what kind they were so he hesitated to take any bites out of the blue fruit. He eventually reached the very highest branches which seemed level with the rest of the forest, he looked around the surrounding area, he found a few clearings not far off, as well as a cave which he guessed was that creepy cave he'd sheltered in. There was a large bird flying in the distance, which Lance couldn't identify, he turned around and decided to hang out on one of the higher branches, the sun did feel pretty good, and he wasn't going to stay up her for too long, just, enough to enjoy the sun's warmth.
