- Summary
Many years ago, a tragic event struck the planet, wiping out the human race. It is not known for sure what killed them off, but its catastrophic effects did not seem to affect the Pokemon of the world. It also left many of the structures intact and much data was left over. Pokemon, creatures already capable of extremely fast evolution, evolved slowly to use the technology left over by their precursors, who'd already exposed them to so many ideas and concepts, and many became bipedal and gained more nimble fingers to replace their foreleg paws. Slowly but surely, their society evolved to match the human societies from so long ago, with schools, governments, and more active religions in regards to the Legendary Pokemon. To this day, battling still holds as a worldwide sport, though no longer done by trainers, but by individuals, who pit themselves against other opponents. Contests are simply replaced by performers and entertainers. Still more research the world around them, using their abilities as Pokemon to find secrets that no human could've ever learned or teaching the next generation. One such Pokemon, known as Adagnitio the Noctowl, decided that he had taken his Archaeological career as far as it could go and decided to use the wealth he had accumulated through hard work and dedication to found the Miraculum Academy, an institution dedicated to higher education and educating the bright young minds of today to make a difference in the future, whether that be in the performing arts, a career in science, or any other job one wanted to pursue. You have been allowed to enter this prestigious school, not for your wealth, but your dedication to better yourself for Adagnitio did not believe that wealth should be a factor in one's education. Welcome...to Miraculum Academy, student! I hope your stay is a long and happy one!

- School Rules
1.) Do not battle on school grounds save for the Training Grounds. Failure to do so will result in punishment to your Head Counselor's discretion.
2.)While freedom of clothing is generally allowed, due not abuse this room. It is at your Head Counselor's discretion what is appropriate to wear and if they demand you change, you will do so or be punished. This is obviously not the case on Weekends, when classes will not be undertaken and Abra Teleporting service will be provided.
3.) Any reports of bullying will be investigated. It will fall into the Head Counselor's discretion as to whether it is bullying or a disagreement and any blatantly false reports will result in punishment. Any true reports will result in a punishment depending on the nature of the transgression.
4.) If for some absurd reason you decide to bring a weapon to school despite already having the ability to breathe fire, shoot electricity, or whatever moves you're capable of using, you WILL be expelled. If you have some actually good reason to have it with you for a period of time (NEVER PERMANENTLY), you may take it up with the Headmaster and it will be discussed at length in an Administration Meeting.
5.) Skipping classes will result in an immediate punishment, including, but not limited to detention, cleaning dishes after every daily meal, cleaning the hallways for a certain period of time, or cleaning the restrooms at the end of the day. If you think this is some slap on the wrist, note that we rarely only assign just one of the punishments.
6.) Skipping out on the punishments will increase the severity of the punishment. Yes, this does mean that, by dodging punishment enough, you can and will eventually be expelled from the grounds.
7.) The Headmaster is always right.
8.) If the Headmaster is wrong, refer to rule #7
Signed,
Headmaster Adagnitio
- Roleplay Rules
1.) Don't kill other people's characters unless there are unique circumstances and permission is explicitly given. This rule applies to EVERYONE without exception.
2.) Don't god-mod or power-game. This means do not dictate everyone's actions without their permission(god-modding) and don't magically dodge everything and succeed at everything without fail (Power-Gaming)
3.) All characters will be run through by myself. Please do not start RPing until I have approved of the character.
4.) Please use common sense.
5.) As we are still on RPN, please obey all site rules.
6.) Please refrain from using long OOC sentences in IC posts. Doing this: (This is an example) is fine. If you have to say something OOC in an IC post, keep it short and sweet.
7.) Be polite to other RPers. If there is a real issue, please bring it up with me.
8.) I will announce how when a class period begins and ends while doing my best to give everyone plenty of time to post within break periods or during the electives.
9.) If you want to express interest, please type or even copy/paste "Scientia" in your post to show that you actually read the rules.
- SettingThe Miraculum Academy was founded on the famous Mirage Island as events a thousand years ago changed the island from one that only appeared once a week to one that constantly changed save two locations. One is home to Aridia Town the side of the island and one that was home to the Miraculum Academy in the center of the Island, which is accessible via Abra's Teleportation service from each region's central city. The Island is also home to Mirage Pokemon, which resemble the Pokemon of old before the humans' extinction caused Pokemon to rise up and take their place. While they're not real in a literal sense, they can and will battle you so it's best to wander into the wilds with a route back or with a friend. The Academy notes when locations of particular intrigue show up, with some appearing at certain times of the week or month while others are less predictable.
- ClassesBesides the standard classes that are usually mandatory, Miraculum Academy provides a number of electives as well for you to sign up for. A list of them are provided below:
Battle Team: A class that is meant to assist those interested in battling by helping them refine their form. Hosts regularly miniature tournaments between members. Meets on Wednesdays from 3:00PM-6:00 PM and on Saturdays from 12:00 PM-3:00 PM. Please wear appropriate clothing for the activities. A waiver will be provided ahead of time. You WILL get hurt in this class as it IS a battling class.
Members: Zachary Penumbra, Sil Attreak, Mars Bolton
Outdoors Club: Travel the ever-changing Mirage Island and learn to survive in a variety of different locations. Environment appropriate equipment will be provided during each outing. The schedule is subject to rapid change and so members will be notified via newsletter when a new outing has been planned rather than have a set schedule.
Members: Zachary Penumbra, Lotus Crocus, Mars Bolton
Choir: An elective meant for those finely tuned but not instrument proficient. It's the magical place where all the different voices come together into a lovely performance that will wow the entire school and even the neighbourhood during our facility events. And all you have to do to achieve that, is sing with passion.
Sessions will be held on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00PM-5:00 PM.
Members: Kliffton Dines, Adagio Libretta, Klay Chet, Christa Princesa
Band: Those instrument proficient can try out this elective. Come together in an exciting band practice, as you all play your beloved instruments in harmony and come up with an awesome and energetic performance that will put even the choir group in awe! Who knows? Maybe if you all desire, you could go pro in the future...
Classes will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 PM to a 3:00 PM.
Members: Kliffton Dines, Sil Attreak
Theater: Be it to put your manipulative talents to good use, or to escape to an interactive alternative world, this elective is surely a very interesting experience for all to enjoy! Maybe your talent it's not acting, but costume making, or even makeup! Worry not, for there is certainly space for you to develop and have fun doing what you love most.
Learn a lot about team work when you're planning a play together, and even more about organization when you separate the tasks amongst yourselves. Then dwell in the reward that is to have a full auditorium applaud all your combined efforts after an unforgettable show!
Sessions will be held after school from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM unless stated otherwise.
Members: Kliffton Dines, Adagio Libretta, Lotus Crocus, Christa Princesa

(Note: Please refrain from having too many participants in one elective as to keep things diverse.) - Character SheetThis Character Sheet is only a recommendation. If you are able to find a better one, then by all means use it as long as it has the basic details listed under "Essentials"

Electives:
Fatal Flaw: (Note from me: Your character's absolute worst -but not necessarily negative- quality, the one which causes the most regresses in their life. This is not something that should fade away with time; consider it a 'core' characteristic of sorts, a fundamental part of their personality.)
Saving Grace: (Your character's absolute best -but not necessarily positive- quality, the one which causes the most progress in their life. This is not something that should fade away with time; consider it a 'core' characteristic of sorts, a fundamental part of their personality.)
Appearance:
Personality and/or Writing example: (Note from my brother on writing example: Now this one might seem kind of weird but hear me out. I think it's better to write an example of your character doing something rather than describe their personality because a) we tend to change it anyways through development or not b) it shows us how they actually think and stuff c) I can see how you write and if you can portray your characters traits in actual writing versus telling me how they're like. Don't give too much description to the setting, we mostly want to see how your characters acts/thinks/etc.)

Other: - CreditsI believe in credit where credit is due and this Roleplay would not have been possible without the help of the people below and from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your great advice, tips, and contributions.
@geeking out Who gave me great tips on how to start out and operate this kind of Roleplay.
welian Who gave me a heck of a lot more confidence in posting this than I initially had(which was slim) and summoned the aid of another, that person being...
Necessity4Fun who created the class descriptions for Choir, Band, and Theatre, saving them from what would've been rather dull descriptions made by me.
Runesage Who initially, though possibly unintentionally, gave me the confidence to even start on this idea in the first place and has been a great help with pitching ideas.
I cannot thank you enough for all the help I've received from you all. Thank you SO much for all of it.
Please make sure to read all of the Roleplay Rules. Reading the School Rules are optional, but recommended.
