The sun rose over another warm summery day waking the residence with in Pallet town. One teen was already up and ready for the day. Mostly because she was going off on her own adventure with one of her best friends. She grinned widely as she pulled her long black hair into two braids tying them securely with small sky blue hair ties. She was already dressed in a long blue dress and black leggings. Grabbing up her tan and brown messenger bag she slung it over her shoulder before picking up a single pokeball which rested on her desk. A wide grin spread aross her face as she bolted into the kitchen. She'd already eaten breakfast and said her good byes but her mother was still a bit clinggy and pulled her daughter into a hug.

"I'll be fine mom! I promise I'll keep in touch with you and everything."

"I know but I can't help but worry. You have the had book I gave you right?"

"Yes, and the emergency flare and the escape rope and the navdex. I have everything I need and then some. I'll be fine."

"You can never have everything you need." her mother pointed out tapping Ally on the nose. Allison just stuck her tounge out and gave her mother another hug. "Alright well... I'll see you next time I'm in town okay?"

"You better." her mother warned hugging the girl back tightly for a a few moments.

After a short while of good byes Allison managed to escape her home and started her jog over to her friends house hopeing she was was ready to head out as well.

"Kevin, I'm going now!" Harlow called as she stood at the door, ready for adventure, her back pack overflowing and seeming to weight a thousand pounds and Sticky happily perched on her shoulder. Kevin dragged himself out of bed to say goodbye to Harlow. He had bags under his eyes ad was still in pajamas, even though it was 11:00am.

"Nhgf.. bye, Harlow.." He groaned. Harlow rolled her eyes. "Bye, sleepy face. I have my Pokedex, so call me, alright?" Kevin nodded like a robot. "Yeah.. sure.. bye." She sighed and opened the door, and waited on the front steps for Allison. When she saw her friend jogging towards her, Harlow jumped up, grinning excitedly.

"Hey!" Harlow said happily. "You ready? I'm so excited!" She squealed, and Sticky let out a happy "Fro-ke-ke!" He was still wary of anyone except Harlow, but his trainer seemed to be happy, so he was, too. He kept a close eye on Allison, though.

"We're gonna catch soooo many cute Pokemon and we'll be soooo strong! Where's Kipper? I need to hug his cute little face!" Harlow spoke happily as they began to walk towards their first Route.

Alison grinned as she spotted Harro and Sticky. "Hey! I've been ready for days!" She giggled softly before holding up her only filled pokeball. "He's in here, I didn't want him getting lost in the shuffle of getting out. Plus mom would have taken forever trying to give him one last grooming. " She chuckled before tossing the ball up. "Time to come out Kipper!" She called.

With a flash of white the small water pokemon appeared in the air and landed on Allys shoulder. "Mudkip, mud!" He cried nuzzling his trainer. Ally giggled nuzzling her pokemon back before he spotted Harlow and gave a happy cry hopping over to the other girls shoulder.

Harlow grinned as Ally explained how Kipper was being bombarded by grooming attempts by her mother. She laughed a bit, and eagerly watched as Ally brought out her little Mudkip. Harlow was overjoyed at the sight of him, and squealed as he went over to Harlow and nuzzled her as well, then hopped upon Ally's shoulder. Sticky growled a little bit, glaring at Kipper and upset that he stole his spotlight, but he didn't move. "Sticky, be nice. Ally and Kipper are our friends." Sticky stopped growling.

"Alright! What Pokemon were you thinking of catching, Ally? I wanted some cuties. But we're gonna be real powerful, too. Cute and powerful! I know you wanna be a coordinator, so I bet you'll want a cutie too. Doesn't get as cute as your lil' Kipper, though!" Harlow beamed. "Although Sticky might win some cute competitions, too.." Harlow scratched Sticky's chin, making him gurgle happily.

They walked to the border of the town. "Here it is! Route 1! You ready for this?"

Ally grinned as she pet her pokemons head letting him rise on her shoulder. "Awe come on Sticky! your just as cute." She cooed petting the frog pokemons head before the two young trainers continued walking. Ally thought a moment and tapped her chin in thought. "Hm... I'm not sure. I know I want some real pretty ones, and strong. I'm just going to keep my eyes open any pokemon that would be worth catching. She chuckled. "I mean I would Love a ralts or maybe even an Eevee! but I'll be happy with something like a rosarade as well." She muttered before looking over to Harlow and Stick with a slight smirk. "I think sticky would make an amazing competitor in a cool competition! He totally has the look for it!" She giggled

The two trainers reached route one and Ally felt a bit of anxiety flare up. This really was their first step to growing as trainers and forming a team. "Ready as I'm going to be." She gave a nervous chuckle before proceeding onto the route keeping an eye out for any pokemon she would want to catch. "Alright so our first goal is to get to Varidean city... anything we should do while we're there?"

Sticky let out a soft gurgle with all the compliments. He was a proud little thing, and all this flattery made him feel important. "Oooh. Ralts. I like Ralts! Gallade is cool. He's all like, chop chop! And it's weird that it's a Psychic and Fighting type, because Fighting is weak to Psychic. But still. SO COOL!" Harlow rattled on about the Pokemon she was interested in catching. "Eevees are totally adorable. I like Sylveon. Thomas caught one! I think he still has it!" Harlow was talking about one of her four brothers, Thomas. "I want a Goomy. I heard those were really affectionate. And maybe a Rufflet! They're so fuzzy!"

"I guess we could battle the gym. Maybe there's some competitions going on for you, too!" Harlow looked around for any Pokemon she might want to catch. "Hmmn.. see anything good, Ally?"

"Oh your right eevee's are adorable!" Ally agreed with a slight not. "Though I've always favored Espeon or even Jolteon." Her eyes turned to search the grass around her curious as to where there were other pokemon. It was still early morning so most were asleep or just waking up. Nocturnal pokemon were most likely going to sleep of all thing. "It might be slow for a little while, we got a bit of an early state." She shrugged slightly. Still she kept her eyes peeled for any possible pokemon that caught her eye.

Harlow nodded. "That's too bad.. I was hoping to see a lot of Pokemon early on, but I guess I'll have to brave through the pain!" Harlow joked, grinning. The route was beautiful, though, even without the Pokemon. It seemed so new, even though she'd been here thousands of times. She was a new person now, a trainer, about to discover the world all on her own, and meet new Pokemon, new people, as an independent trainer. "Wow." She said to herself. "Isn't this amazing, Ally? We get to travel the world, see everything, all by ourselves? I feel so.. important." Harlow sucked in a breath.

Ally smirked slightly as she looked over to Harlow and nodded. "All grown up as the say." She chuckled. "And a bit unnerving. Being out here on our own. Liberating yes but a lot more responsibility. I think we can handle it though!" She grinned. "Besides with our pokemon at our sides we can take on just about anything."

"Just about anything.." Harlow murmured, smiling to herself. "Yea, we've got this!" She grinned, nudging Ally happily. "C'mon. Race you to that tree over there!" She cried, and without warning, sped forward, Sticky growling his protests as he clung onto Harlow's shoulder for dear life. Her backpack jiggled around and bumped against her back, so Harlow held the straps as she ran.
