Fandom Pokémon Jump!: Kanto!

Taikamodo

"Grim Reaper Of Awesome"
You may have heard of the first universe, where the infamous trainer Red and his many companions travelled across the world. Or maybe even the second universe, where the equally popular trainer Ash Ketchum and his friends did the same. However, what if there was a third universe, a universe entirely independant from the first two? And what if in this universe's Pallet Town, a certain group of kids were about to embark on their own Pokémon adventures? Their stories will slowly unfold and advance in many unique ways, on Pokémon Jump!: Kanto!

Pallet Town. A dainty little place, and the smallest town in all of The Kanto Region. On this warm and sunny morning, the lone school for the pallet town children was currently instructing it's only group of kids, which only equalled to around eight. This was a pretty important day for the children, as it was the day they would all graduate from Trainer's school and receive a Pokémon from the professor.

At the moment, that very professor, the esteemed Pokémon Expert Professor Samuel Oak was instructing the children, though today it was less teaching and more of him explaining what they would have to do as Pokémon trainers, breeders, coordinators, and future doctors or nurses. Of course, the majority of the kids were bored, and when your class only had a few kids, considering Pallet was a small town after all, the majority was pretty noticeable.

As the aged professor rambled on, a boy listened intently, soaking up as much information as he could about life as a Pokémon trainer. This boy happened to be Leo Waterflower, the younger brother of Ceruelan City's gym leader, Misty. He was one of the few kids actually paying attention, since most either already knew what he was telling them or didn't care.

Hayes ignored Professor Oak as he explained the rules of being a Pokemon Trainer. Since he was young he had known how to be a trainer. All that was left now was to get his first pokemon. After that he could start his journey.

"Alright, now I'm sure that you all don't want to listen to me ramble on and on about Pokémon journeys...so how about we get started?" The professor pulled out a few large glass cylinders, each containing three Pokéballs. "In each of these Pokéballs, are the starter Pokémon of the Kanto a Region. The Water type Squirte, the Grass Type Pokémon, and Charmander, the Fire Type." He explained.

Leo grinned at the words "Water Type". Those were his specialty. "I would like Squirtle, if nobody minds." He volunteered, looking around for anyone who might have a disagreement.

Finally. They had reached the pokemon giving portion of the precedings. Hayes had thought about this carefully and had decided on the fire type Charmander. It appealed to him the most. Some kid stepped forward and announced that he would like to get a water type. It was none of my concern and I stepped forward myself.

"Professor." Hayes said catching Oak's attention. "I will be choosing Charmander."

"Alright. Come get them." Oak invited, and Leo immediately rode to his feet and made his way down stairs, picking up a Pokéball. "Squirtle, come on out." He released the water typed turtle, who began excitedly running around the moment it landed on the ground.

Hayes followed the excited kid and jumped smoothly down the stairs. He picked up a pokeball and it felt right at home in his hand. "Let's see it." Hayes said pointing the pokeball at the floor and releasing the Charmander. Both man and pokemon stood sizing each other up for a moment. Then, they nodded and shook hands. Hayes thought quietly to himself for a moment. "This Charmander has great potential. The perfect partner for me."

As the others each came and went, receiving their own starter Pokémon, Leo took this time to introduce himself to Squirtle. "Hi there," he greeted softly, "my name is Leo Waterflower, and i want to be your new trainer. Is that okay?" Squirtle grinned and nodded, jumping on top of Leo's back cheerfully.

"Hm. We should test out your strength." Hayes said to his partner and thought on it for a couple of moments. However he was soon interrupted by a kid tapping him on the back. Hayes turned to an overly confident kid with a grin on his face. "If you want to test your Charmander's strength. Why don't you face me?" Hayes raised an eyebrow at the kid and smirked. He would show this fool just what he was dealing with."

Febee was super excited and she could hardly contain her excitement after acquiring her Charmander she immediately let it out and smiled brightly " Hey, its nice to meet you I'm Febee your trainer and friend and as a symbol that I will always believe in you, my lucky bandana " she tied a green bandana around her Charmander's neck loosely then she picked him up and began walking " Now to think of a name for you... "

Professor Oak sighed, sweat dropping. He had a gut feeling this would happen. "Alright, i'll allow this, but could you please taket he battle to battlefield in the backyard, please?" He asked, before leading everyone outside and to a large, rectangular section of ground, with white chalk lines acting as the borders. On the side of the battlefield was a group of wooden benches. Leo looked at the battlefield in awe.

"Wow, look at that Squirtle. I never knew there was a battlefield back here. Isn't it cool?" He questioned, the blue skinned turtle by his side shaking it's head, an equally amazed look on it's face.

"I'll be the judge of this battle. Now can our two participants step forward?"

Febee gasped and excalimed " Ah! I got it, how about Brutus? " she asked her Charmander who nodded happily agreeing "Char! Char!" She smiled and set Brutus down looking to the battle field she gasped " Oh wow! That's amazing! I can't wait to have my first battle! I hope I win when I do! "

Hayes smirked as he walked to one side of the field. He motioned his Charmander forward and it got into a battle stance. The other kid smiled smugly and released a Squirtle. "Water has the advantage. So I'll crush you!" Hayes wanted to facepalm at the kid's stupidity. At this early stage their pokemon didn't know any elemental moves. Hayes removed his fedora and threw it smoothly onto a nearby bench. "Let me say this start. I will be the winner." Both trainers turned to look at Oak waiting for the okay to go.

"Alright. Let the battle between Trainer Hayes," He looked to Hayes briefly, "and Trainer Austin," He looked towards the boy, "begin!" Oak proclaimed.

"We'll get to see how other Squirtle battle. This should be good experience, so watch closely, okay?" Leo requested of his starter, who was currently sitting in it's owner's lap like a young child. Squirtle nodded cheerfully.

"Squirt, squirtle!" It said, and though Leo didn't quite understand it, he nodded regardless. That wasw hen the carrot top boy noticed the rather excited girl beside him.

"I hope i can win my first battle as well." He commented.

"Squirtle use Bubble!" Austin called out confidently. His Squirtle turned to him in confusion and tilted its head. Hayes's face became emotionless as he pointed at the pokemon. "Charmander! Scratch!" His Charmander took of at great speed and raised his claw. "Squirtle! Dodge!" Austin called out too late. Charmander jumped into the air and scratched Squirtle making it tumble backwards.

"Woah, that Charmander's fast. Squirtle couldn't even react in time..." Leo trailed off in awe, eyes glued to the battle, even Squirtle for once not squirming around like a walking sugar rush. "If a completely untrained and unevolved Pokémon's that fast, then final stage Pokémon must be amazing."

Austin looked angry as he turned to his Squirtle. "Squirtle! Use Tackle!" Hayes looked at his Charmander and a message seemed to pass between them. Hold still. Squirtle ran forward and let out a cry. Hayes's eye seemed to gleam as he saw the perfect moment. "Now! Jump above his Squirtle and use Scratch again!" WIth Squirtle a foot away, Charmander jumped into the air. It dodged the water pokemon's attack and while still in the air landed another Scratch. Austin's Squirtle let out a small cry and hit the ground. With effort it slowly got back to its feet. "I admit your Squirtle is dedicated! But this battle's over now!" Hayes said sure of his victory. "Its not over til its over!" Austin yelled defiantly.

"This has been really one sided, huh?" The orange head noted, seeing yet another scratch land on Squirtle while Charmander remakned unscathed. "That Hayes kid is really strong," He started, looking at the rather confident trainer trainer, "but Austin's really determined to win. I guess it could still go either way." Squirtle nodded, internally hoping it's fellow squirtle would pull through.

"Squirtle! You can do this! Tackle one more time!" Austin yelled fiercely pointing at Charmander. Hayes looked away from the battle and spotted an orange-headed boy. Had he just said it could go either way? No. There was only one outcome. I'll prove him wrong right now. "Charmander brace yourself to stop Squirtle's tackle and use Growl!" Hayes's Charmander stood its ground and let out a growl that made the water type feel weaker. Squirtle picked up speed and crashed into the fire type. For a moment there was no sound and everyone was sure that Charmander had been hit. But, suddenly the two pokemon shifted and the audience could see that Charmander had stopped the tackle. "Finish it with Scratch!" Hayes said with finality. Charmander pushed the tired water type back and used Scratch. Squirtle looked dazed for a moment and tried to stay standing but dropped to the floor. "No Squirtle!" Austin cried out.

Febee bounced she clapped and said really loud " THAT WAS AWESOME!!! " she jumoed up in the air smiling big Brutus said loudly as well "CHAR!!! CHAR!!!" And its tail flame burned brighter excited along with his trainer

Austin quietly returned Squirtle, muttering a 'good job' under his breath, before with a deep breath, walking over to Hayes and extendinb his hand. "You beat me...bad...even though me and Squirtle tried our best, we didn't stand a chance." He looked his former opponent dead in the eyes. "But we're gonna battle again, and next time, i'll win!"

Leo watched in amazement, standing up and clapping, Squirtle mirroring his actions. "Good job you two! It was a great battle!" He congratulated, his starter Pokémon cheering as well.

"Squirte!"

Hayes returned his Charmander to its ball and looked at it. "You have succeeded in your first battle. I shall name you Inferno!" Hayes looked up at Austin and listened to him talk. He felt a bit of dread as he saw the determined look in his eyes. This guy was gonna be an annoyance. Hayes shook his hand once and walked over to the fedora. "Austin if you think you can beat me. You can try again. But until then... Why don't you just call me the best?" Hayes said smugly and turned to the orange-headed boy he saw earlier. He was cheering a little too much for his liking. Putting his fedora on, Hayes caught the boy's attention and smirked devillishly. "Well Oak since I swiped this handy dandy Pokedex." Hayes said producing the item. "I'll catch ya later!"

"No way." Austin deadpanned.

Oak sweat dropped, making a mental note to keep a closer eye on Hayes. "Well, mr. swiper, seems you forgot to take your Pokéballs." He gestured to the five miniturized red and white spheres in his hand.

Leo's brow furrowed at the fedora wearing boy. Who is he exactly? Why did he look at me like that? And why is he so strong?

Hayes picked up the five pokeballs and left the battlefield. It would be a long journey ahead and he wanted to be prepared. Going through his travel pack, Hayes had potions, antidotes, parylz heals, and a few other things. "Well seems i'm all set for my journey." Hayes said mostly to himself and headed for the town's exit excited for his adventure.

Febee had already gotten her Pokedex and Pokeballs and glanced around for the guy with the Charmander, having calmed down she jogged up to Hayes and walked backwards in front of him holding Brutus in her arms " Hi, I'm Febee "
