[Liftoff]

Liftoff

The fairy wind hit Weepingbell but did little damage due to poor type match up. But, it didn't seem Erica was paying attention as she had dozed off.

Kristy watched as Lillie struggled with the battle. She didn't seem to confident in her abilties. But, still she cheered her on.

"U- use Moon Blast now!" Lillie said uncertainly, gesticulating worriedly. It was a clear hit this time, and Lillie pumped her fist, proud of her small victory.

The move hit, but again only did half the damage due to poor match up. Erica happened to awake slightly as she looked out over the field. With a slight yawn she called the next move.

"Mega Drain."

Weepingbell begins to hop up and down before get close enough to draw out energy from Clefable in order to restore it's HP.

Weepingbell begins to hop up and down before get close enough to draw out energy from Clefable in order to restore it's HP.

Lillie almost screamed in frustration when Clefable's HP was reduced to almost nothing. "Use Moon Blast!" she exclaimed, clearly distressed.

The move struck weepinbell again, and again it didn't do too much damage. Erica then gave a light yawn.

"Use..." But she dozed off again.

"Come on Lillie," Kristy cheered anyways, "You can do it!"

"C-Clefable, switch out!" Lillie called her Pokémon back to its Pokèball, and took out her Ribombee. "Ribombee, use... Pollen Puff!" She was certain that her battle plan was making no sense, but tried to continue.

The pollen hit Weepinbell to neutral affect. Erica continued to snooze though. So Weepinbell launched it's own attack with a Mega Drain. It wouldn't do much damage but it'd still help get some of it's HP back.

Lillie's lips trembled. She wasn't sure what to do and she felt like she was going to cry. Her command barely reached her Ribombee. "Pollen Puff... again..." Truthfully, she felt like she had already lost. She scrubbed away the itchy tears that were forming in the corners of her eyes so she could see clearly again.

The pollen Puff hit again, but rather it was dumb luck. The attack landed a Critcal hit. Seemed it was enough as weepinbell was KO'd. This caused Erica to wake as she gave a light yawn.

"Oh, seems you beat the first one," Erica said as she recalled her Pokemon, "Let's go with this one."

She recalled Weepinbell and sent out a Tangela.

"Bind," Erica called as the Pokemon's think vines came out and attempted to wrap up the bug fairy Pokemon.

The pollen Puff hit again, but rather it was dumb luck. The attack landed a Critcal hit. Seemed it was enough as weepinbell was KO'd. This caused Erica to wake as she gave a light yawn.

"Oh, seems you beat the first one," Erica said as she recalled her Pokemon, "Let's go with this one."

She recalled Weepinbell and sent out a Tangela.

"Bind," Erica called as the Pokemon's think vines came out and attempted to wrap up the bug fairy Pokemon.

"U- Turn? " Lillie called, flustered, but pleased by her short lived victory. "U- Turn, Ribombee!" she called again, with a little more courage in her voice. The small Pokémon launched itself at Erika's Tangela.

The move hit, causing alot of Damage to the hairy-looking Pokemon. But once the move was finished, Ribombee went back into it's pokeball, causing Clefable to be brought back out, since it hadn't been KO'd.

"Mega Drain," Erica said as the Pokemon used the move to get some of it's HP back as well as finish off the fairy type Pokemon.

The move hit, causing alot of Damage to the hairy-looking Pokemon. But once the move was finished, Ribombee went back into it's pokeball, causing Clefable to be brought back out, since it hadn't been KO'd.

Lillie swallowed, harshly, her somewhat clever move being put to waste. Ribombee was back, and she had no clue what to do with it. "..." she muttered, trying to think of a suitable attack. "Pollen Puff, Ribombee." Snap... she thought. I should have used U Turn again. Then she thought again. Its ability would be null now... Either way, what's done is done.

The move was super effective. Doing a lot of damage to the hairy Grass Pokemon.

"Sleep Powder," Erica said as her Pokemon shook his vines and unleased a blue powder towards Ribombee.

Kristy was still cheering in the stands. She saw that she had lost one of her Pokemon but with the good type match up, she may be able to pull off a win!

The move was super effective. Doing a lot of damage to the hairy Grass Pokemon.

"Sleep Powder," Erica said as her Pokemon shook his vines and unleased a blue powder towards Ribombee.

Unfortunately, though the attack caused Ribombee to fall asleep. Lillie called to it, sounding frustrated. "Wake up, Ribombee!" she screamed, angrily.

Lillie tried to think of what Gladion would tell her to do. "Remember, a calm, cool trainer is better than an angry, flustered one." he'd said. Lillie took a deep breath, calming herself. "Ribombee, wake up and use Pollen Puff!" she exclaimed, her voice shaky, but for once, calm.

To her amazement, it woke, and hurled its puff at the Tangela.

The attack hit and did major damage. But Tangela managed to hang in there, but barely.

"Sleep power!" Erica said actually getting a little more into the battle.

Tangela obeyed as it launched the sleep enducing powder at the fairy/bug Pokemon.

"Ah! Not again!" Lillie muttered, as her Ribombee fell asleep. "Wake up!" she called, get voice growing hoarse from yelling. "Please, wake up!" Alas, her yelling didn't succeed to wake it.

"Use MegaDrain," Erica said as again Tangela used its move to reduce Ribombee's HP in order to restore it's own,

The attack left Ribombee with very little HP. Lillie's heart pounded in her chest like a drum as she continued to call to her Pokémon in desperation. "Ribombee! Come on now!"

Then she thought of something. "Ribombee, I'll give you lots of snacks!" she said, temptingly. At this, Ribombee woke up. "Pollen Puff! Finish Tangela off!"

JC nods to Akamai before turning to Luna.

"You think she's still in there?" JC asked her.

Luna looked to Akamai before smiling. "Really? We should all head there together then." She said before turning her attention to the door from before. "There's only one way to find out." She said as she approached the closet and knocked on it. She waited for a few moments before trying to open up the door.

“The company could be nice” Akamai agreed with Luna. “I’m not sure they would’ve stayed in the same place since before the contest but if you think it’s worth taking a look at” Akamai thought aloud.

"True, but this IS where she was told to meet her if she won the contest," JC remarked to Akamai's thought.

The door to the place opened and the three of them walked inside. Sitting on a chair with her head down was Lindsey. It took her a moment but seemed to look up, as if being arrosed from sleep.

The pollen puff landed and caused major damage. It was enough that it KO'd Erica's tangela, giving Lillie the Victory. Kristy ofcourse, cheered from the stands as Erica recalled her Pokemon.

Luna smiled at the boy's response, happy to have another member to travel with. Even if it was just for a little while.

Now inside she looked at Lindsey and gave a wave as she seemed to have just woke up. "Um...sorry to disturb. Were you sleeping?" She felt a bit bad waking her up from her nap but reached into her bag to pull out the first place ribbon from her bag. "I honestly still can't believe I won." She said with a sheepish laugh.

Akamai followed the girls into the building and noticed the girl apparently being woken up from a nap on the chair. “That’s her then” Akamai said though it was less of a question and more of an observation.
