Akamai was a bit in awe of the performance. He wasn’t a stranger to ghost Pokémon and was even used to them in a sense. His partner was part ghost type after all. Though he’d never seen Bo pull off anything like that. He recovered and gave a bit if applause as it’d been impressive.

The audience cheered and the judges made their marks. Things continued before finally they announced the top 8 who would be moving on... Alice took the top spot while Luna... got 4th.

Luna, was honestly very shocked. She didn't expect to hit top 8, let alone in the top 4. It was a great accomplishment for her first time and was already excited to write about it to her folks.

Issac honestly thought about Hailey’s question, but he had already made his decision about that topic for a while now. “Well I can’t obviously leave you alone when those guys are still out there, plus I don’t have anywhere else to go right now so I might well stick around.” He answered with Shade simply giving a small huff as he dissolved from reality itself. “That and you might need someone to help you practice.” He added and quickly took note of the general direction his Zoroark is in.

Hailey smiled as she actually hugged Issac, "Thank you so much!" She said, "I.... I don't want to be alone."

As Lani took her first steps into Viridian City she couldn't help but feel in awe. It was such a quaint little town, nothing like the big bustling city of Hau'oli back home. And it was so green! She took a deep breath, inhaling the scents of pine and evergreen on the breeze. What a lovely place.
Looking down at her map she studied it intently, trying to figure out where to go next. She could always head to the Pokemon center and stock up on supplies. Or maybe she should try to find a motel to stay in for the night. Just then her stomach rumbled. Right, she should find someplace to eat. Looking up, she scanned her surroundings for signs of a food stall or restaurant. She noticed some people ahead of her, heading towards a large building and decided to follow them. Maybe there would be food there.
Once inside the building, Lani quickly realized this was not a restaurant, but a contest hall, and all the people here were gathered to watch. Forgetting her hunger for the moment, she decided to do the same, gazing up at one of the large screens as she walked. What she saw was quite simply, amazing. Coordinators and Pokemon, cooperating together to dazzle the judges and onlookers with beautifully choreographed moves. It was truly splendid. Unfortunately, Lani was so engrossed in watching the contest that she quite forgot to look where she was going, and quite nearly plowed into someone as a result.

A pair of police officiers came into the Contest hall and soon spotted Hailey. They walked up to her.

"Hey, little one, we were told that you had your pokemon stolen from you in the forest," Said one.

"If you're ok with it, we'd like to take you to the station and perhaps stay here for a bit until we get things wrapped up with that?"

Hailey thought about it, though a little shy. But nodded her head as she followed the Police officers out of the Contest Hall.

JC cheered her congratulations out towards Luna who made it in the top 4 and would be moving on in the Contest. Buzz thanked the ones who didn't move on as everyone got ready for the next part.

In it, the coordinators would actually wait on by one back stage and would one by one head out to the stage. They couldn't see what the others were doing during their turns so they couldn't try and counter what they were doing. Ofcourse, once they made their move, they had to stay there on stage. With Alice placing first during the Appeals portion, she would go out first, while Luna would be last.

The other two coordinators was a man with a raticate and a woman with a jiggypuff. In that order.

Luna was excited to make it this far in a contest. Her new goal was to at least out-do one person. 3rd place on her first attempt has to be some type of record right? She smiled thinking about the remaining coordinators and then going around thinking what she wanted to do this round. She wasn't really sure what to expect.

Akamai gave a round of applause as the coordinators finishing up. He was silent as he waited for the next coordinator to go.

So the first round of the Appeal Battle portion began. Alice's Dolly was placed in the center of the stage but, it didn't do anything. Nothing happened and well, she got no points for it. So Alice picked up her doll and walked over to her waiting spot before placing it back down on the ground.

Next up, the man with the Raticate goes and appeals with a bite attack awarding him 3 points. The Jigglypuff used Sing causing the Raticate to flinch knocking off a point, yet, for some reason Dolly didn't seem to react at all... then again most people didn't expect it too so she didn't lose any points. Finally, Luna went out with Heal Pulse awarding her 3 points. Once everyone made their appeals they head to the back with the following points and turn order for next round:

1st: Eliza with 3 points.
2nd: Jigglypuff with 1 point
3rd: Raticate with 1 point (tie breaker being it flinched)
Last: Dolly with 0 points.

When the round was over Luna, along with Manny, cheered for Eliza. Even if this was the first round, it was still cool to be at the top of the leaderboard. She gave the pokémon a highfive before taking a seat backstage and waiting for the next round to begin.

The next round commenced as Eliza started off with safeguard earning her one point. Jiggypuff used poind warning ir 3 points while the rattcate used scary face earning it a point and causing jigglypuff to flinch and lose 2 points. Eliza was safe due to her move.

Then, it was Alice's turn as she took the stage and again sat her doll on the center. It didn't seem it was doing anything. Yet somehow the other contestants were overcome with a unspeakable terror that causes them not only to flinch but actually become a bit erratic as some tried to hide behind their trainers while others nearly tried to run behind the stage.

This conduct actually dropped all their scores by 5 points. Except Elize who's freak out wasn't as bad and thus only lost 3. Despite not knowing what the doll did, she was rewarded a point.

1st: Dolly with 1 point.
2nd: Elize with 1 point (tie breaker she flinched)
3rd: Raticate with 0 points
Last: Jigglypuff with 0 points (tie breaker, flinched twice that round)

Luna wasn't all too sure what happened. Eliza was never really one to get frightened or scared. So seeing her get panicky was a bit concerning. When they were dismissed off the stage she went to calm her pokémon down and ask what scared her. She even asked Manny, who was waiting backstage while she was out, if he felt something as well.

"Whatever that was can't hurt you, okay? You've faced much scarier things than a possibly possessed doll." She sighed hearing how weird that sentence was. "Anyway, that, or something similar, is bound to happen again...so next time relax and concentrate on what's happening around you, yeah?"

The little pep-talk seemed to help Eliza regain her composure a bit. Not to the point where she was okay again, but definitely much better than before. "And remember what Selena said! The best way to relieve one's stress, is to close your eyes and dance!" And on that note, Luna began humming some random song as she swayed around the backstage. Not much later both Manny and Eliza were both jumping around and dancing around with her.

JC cheered on Luna's performance from last round. She was curious to what happened with Dolly though.

The next round began as Dolly was placed on the stage and like with the first round, nothing happened and thus she got no points. Eliza went next with refresh as it prepared itself for any future flinching as well as earning her one point.

Raticate went with scary face, seemed he wanted to get back at Dolly, but the Doll didn't seem to move at all, and Eliza didn't flinch either thus he only got a point for the move. Finally, Jigglypiff used sing but only caused Raticate to flinch.

1st: Eliza with 2 points
2nd: Jigglypuff with 1 point
3rd: Dolly with 1 point (didn't do anything.)
Last: Raticate with 0 points.

Luna...wasn't sure what to expect from Alice's doll. It didn't flinch to anything and only seemed to do something when it was in last. Which seemed to be what it's aiming for now. She sighed a bit but smiled to Eliza when they returned back stage.

"It's getting pretty close, huh? We should all go out to eat when it's over. Win or lose. It'll be fun!" She hummed a bit as she said that before taking a seat in one of the chairs and waiting as Manny and Eliza seemed to talk about something.

The next 4th round came as Eliza started with safe guard gaining her a point. Then Jigglypuff attempted a defense curl trying to prepare for dolly's turn. But again Dolly came out and didn't do a thing. Yet both Elza and Jigglypuff began to freak out. The freak out was enough that both of them lost 3 points.

Finally, Raticate came on with the meanest leer it could do... and only got a single point for its trouble as the other two had already lost all its points and dolly didn't move as it hadn't since this thing began.

1st: Dolly with 2 points.
2nd: Raticate with 1 point.
3rd: Jigglypuff with 0 points
4th: Elza with 0 points (tie breaker, coin toss)

Luna still couldn't understand what was happening. She sighed a bit but cheered for Eliza never the less. It was a bit frustrating to not even know what was happening to scare her pokémon. Luna grabbed a pokébean from her bag and gave it to Eliza so she could calm down.

"I wonder what's so frightening about that doll? I mean- it's creepy, yeah, but nothing to have a heart attack over...right? Eughhhh" Luna slid down her chair and tapped the floor with her foot. "Anyway! Last round let's make it count! We're right back where we started aha."

She hummed and picked Manny up before hopping out her chair and cheering for her pokémon.

Akamai watched as the different Pokémon did their moves. He gave off polite applause after each round.

The final round began with Dolly, doing what it usually did by doing nothing. No points. Raticate tried to take the lead using a jump kick and getting 3 points, but, Jigglypuff used sing and hitting that note as hard as it could in order try and make Dolly flinch. it got the point but only Raticate flinched.

Finally, Eliza used heal beam and giving her 3 points. With the final results of the Contest being as follows:

1st: Eliza with 3 points
2nd: Dolly with 2 points.
3rd: Jigglypuff with 1 point.
Last: Raticate with 1 point (tie breaker, it flinched)

Luna, was honestly shocked that Dolly didn't do anything. She could've sworn they had something else up their sleeve. But it appears she was mistaken. She, and Manny, happily cheered for Eliza when they came backstage for being able to stay in first and win the contest.

Once the contest was over, Luna and the other contestants were invited back onto the stage for another round of applause and Luna was presented with her ribbon. Yet, it was at this moment that some kind of sleeping gas seemed to filter into the arena causing the audience to fall asleep one by one.

JC's eyes were also getting heavy as she was trying to figure out what was going on. Quickly, she got up and tried to make it to the exit before she succumbed to the sleeping gas.

Luna was simply bubbling with excitement when she managed to win this contest. She honestly wasn't too sure what to expect from these, but it was still quite fun!

As Luna walked out she had Manny in her arms while Eliza walked beside her. Luna smiled at the ribbon that was about to be presented to her before noticing the audience begin to fall asleep.

"Quick Manny. Aromatherapy." She said and Manny nodded. A slight breeze would blow prevent Luna and her pokémon from falling asleep, and possibly anyone who was around her.

Akamai was happily watching the contestants come up when the gas began to filter through into the room. He was a bit taken confused until he saw people start to drop. Okay then, time to get out. Akamai didn’t have any Pokémon that could help him in this situation so he moved to make his way out of the building as quickly as possible while covering his nose and mouth with his shirt.

Issac wasn’t necessarily paying attention either as he just nearly rammed into someone on his way out. He barely had time to sidestep the person he nearly collided with, only to stumble over his own Zoroark, who dropped its illusion of invisibility to keep its trainer from fully colliding with it. “Sorry, wasn’t pay as much attention as I should have.” The black haired trainer said as he turned to face the young woman he almost bowled over.
