"O-Oh... T-that's good." Miiya said much more awake now. "Y-You must have been really focused on something to not see Nina here." She pats the Nidoqueen on the shoulder. The massive Pokémon seeing that Miiya was talking with the new human, faced her so Miiya could position herself far more comfortably while talking to this new person.

After shifting to sit so she isn't stretching her neck over her partners shoulder anymore. Miiya was in awe at Victoria's or VV's fashion statement to the world, audacious and flattering. Miiya was starting to feel a bit out of her depth now that she was getting a far better look at her. It was then her face lit up with embarrassment as she was just looking at this girl for the past ten seconds without saying a word to further the conversation. She hadn't even introduced herself.

"My name is Miiya... It's n-nice to meet you VV." Now that she was getting her mind back on track she registered the pretty girl's question. "O-oh... Umm... myself." her voice got really quiet and she seemed to mumble, opening her bag that was hanging the Nidoqueen's left shoulder. Soon after her hands entered the bag she pulled a corked glass bottle out of the bag and offered it over to VV with a very small cup that is reminiscent of one used for cough syrup. "Half of this serving cup and... About five minutes and they will be raring to go. Don't give more than one dose a day per pokemon. It causes head-aches if they have too much."

It took Davy some time before he found he could deadlift and it would actually be a problem. With renewed vigor, he began stacking many plates on the bar, getting it to near seven hundred fifty pounds. That was when he noticed Buff from his yell. He turned and gave him a huge smile. “Hey, Buff!” He walked quickly up to him, but didn’t stray too far from his area. “Ah, just wanted to see how much I could lift. I’ve never been to a gym before, and I just had the idea that I didn’t know how much I could lift by number. But after seeing everything was rather easy, I decided to do deadlifts. Who knew being on a Tauros ranch made you so strong.” He laughed verbosely, rather enjoying Buff’s company.

“I’m trying to train these muscles, but it’s a bit difficult when lifting and throwing Tauros, Miltank, and Bouffalant around makes for better muscle training.” He chuckled, scratching the back of his head. “So, you doing any exhibition sumo matches? And is it just Pokémon or can humans get involved too?” He asked, turning to go back to his now stacked bar of 750 lbs and grabbed the bar.

Getting into a proper position, his muscles bulged in his legs, back, and arms as he held on tight and used his legs to lift it up.

This wasn’t a squat, but his legs did help muster most of his strength and he already felt like he needed to do this a few times. “So-” He said in apparent strain, but for so much weight he should be sounding so strained he couldn’t talk. His face was barely flushed in exertion. “-are you supposed to be doing these deadlifts multiple times or just once?” He managed to swing it up above his head, held it there, and then deadpanned. Sighing, he carefully lowered the bar until it was hanging from his arms, then rested it on the floor, finding the action of putting the bar down harder than lifting it up due to the amount of control needed, but even then it wasn't to the spirit of a deadlift.

“Not enough…” He mused to himself.

"Whoah, a homemade remedy? Thanks!" says VV, who now had a much clearer vision of Miiya. "It's nice to meet you too. You and your highness here have some serious gym leader energy." She really meant it, and not just that, but also saw potential in a performance. Someone like her could easily hit a cuteness competition and eat it up. She saw it now. Nina the Nidoqueen, or Queen Nina, comes onto stage, carrying a princess in her arms, then the music hits, the nidoqueen throws the princess, who carries sparkles to throw all over the stage. WAIT. SNAP BACK TO REALITY. VV probably been standing there smiling for a bit. Well, now they're even. "I know how I can repay you, how 'bout an exclusive performance from yours truly? I need the feedback anyway, and we can get something to eat afterwards if you'd like. That is, if you weren't going anywhere." She hadn't even thought of that. Was she being an inconvenience?

Miiya tilted her head to the side cutely as the comment of gym leader energy comment and looked up at Nina who seemed to stand up a bit straighter. It's been quite a long time since Nina had battled seriously, the huge Pokémon was definitely rusty but to know she still looked tough was a definite confidence booster to the Pokémon. It seemed Nina liked the 'her highness' as a reference to her as well.

If Nina liked VV already then Miiya could definitely get along with the older girl. Drawing her attention back to VV who said something about a private performance? It cause the girl to hum in thought about the idea. Was it one of those Pokémon contests that were so popular in Hoenn and Sinnoh? She had never seen one of those due to how late she'd have to stay up to see one because they only aired on late night TV back at home. "Sure, I was just going to head to my room and get to bed early but... That sounds much more fun than going to sleep early." She was no longer feeling sleepy anyways. Plus she wouldn't have to buy a ticket to see a performance. Sounds like a win win in Miiya's book.

A sigh escapes Zera's lips as she stares at the door to the weight gym. When she saw that there was a gym she got a bit excited but looking into the window, the excitement drained from her face. There was literally only two people in there. She would have liked to not be the only girl in there. She did have a solution to that in her pocket. Lukina would be more than happy to keep her company. She grabbed the ball and with a click said Pokémon bounced out of the ball and her eyes snapped to Zera's then to the surroundings.

"Come Lukina I have some sets to do and you are free to push yourself as you see fit." She opened the door and walked in sparing Davy and Buff a glance taking note of Davy dead lifting what seemed to be 750lbs. If you add the 40 pound bar it was an impressive 790lbs. It was rather commendable. She simply raised an eyebrow at that but moved removing her jacket. The top she was wearing hugged her chest and was like a half tank top. Her stomach muscles were displayed as we're her well muscled arms. She began to stretch throughly after tossing her coat at the Lopunny who followed her in.

The pink Lopunny who followed her in snagged the coat and hung it by the door without even batting an eye. It was clear as day that it was routine for the two. Lukina began stretching as well nearly mirroring her trainer before getting to work before Zera did. It cocked it's head looking at Davy drop the weighted bar on the floor. The Pokémon strode over and it seemed to snicker at the weight before gripping it with one fluffy paw and lifting the bar to her waist with hardly any effort, then to her shoulder resting it there for a moment before it went up above her head it's arm raised perfectly straight.

"Lukina." The Lopunny's head snapped to face Zera the rest of its body not moving an inch. The voice coming from her was relaxed but clearly held a edge that was unnoticed by the others because the Pokémon put the weight down quickly and carefully using her body as a cohesive unit. "Do I need to re-educate you on gym manners?" Lukina shook her head no, turning it back to Davy bowed before taking a large step/bounce backwards to give him space to continue.

"Alright! We can walk back together if you want. I must say, it looks pretty convenient to have a big strong companion that can carry you. Makes me wish I had Entei or a Rapidash. I'm sure Rey or Blast could carry me if they wanted to, but they'd make fun of me for it immediately after." VV says, chuckling at the idea of Blast carrying her to sleep. Though, when she imagined herself that way, she envisioned her younger self, from back before her performances. It was oddly nostalgic to her.

As they walk back, VV says "Oh! Boomy! You should meet em while we walk back. I appreciate you coming to my defense, but you probably left a rude first impression." the Alolan Marowak ejects from her pokeball, and VV introduces her. "This is Boomerang, or Boomy. She's the only girl in our little squad so she's kind of the a mother of the group. Aside from me of course! Ain't that right?" the Alolan Marowak scratches her skull sheepishly.

Boomy (to Nina): "I'm sure you understand my urge to defend her, right? Still, I apologize. I try to make sure everyone in our group is good, both in health and in behavior." Boomy thinks back to the past shenanigans their group would sometimes get into, especially when VV isn't present.

Miiya hummed thinking about what the fiery girl was saying. It wouldn't be that bad to just walk. "I-I don't think that would be very nice if they made fun of you... Plus Nina actually carries me because she wants to. S-Sometimes it's a little hard for me to get her to put me down." She looks up at the Pokémon in question who looks away seeming a tad indignant at Miiya's words slowly putting the girl down. Miiya responds by hugging the Pokémon as best she can." A-Anyway... I'd h-happily walk with you." Miiya observed the odd looking Marowak act seemingly sheepish and cover her mouth with her small hand hiding a giggle.

It was during the interaction between the two Pokémon Miiya remembered something. "You said Rapidash earlier right? I-I know where a whole ton of Ponyta are. They are really common back home the graze around in the forests outside Celadon City. I-I don't know if that helps any to know now though..."



Nina's gaze shifted when the boomerang bone Pokémon was revealed once again. She really didn't need to say a thing but she gave a sigh nodding. "Yes... I am familiar with the feeling. However, I ask that you assess the situation a bit more next time. I would feel terrible if Miiya would have missed out on making a new friend because of a misunderstanding and having to nurse you back to health."

"They mean no harm when they make fun, it's just teasing! My pokemon are my squad, like siblings. Your dynamic just happens to be more of a parental bond, but I don't mean to assume, I could absolutely be wrong." she looks at Nina and Boomy discussing, then answers Miiya's comment about ponyta.

"Thanks, but I'm kind of selective of new additions. I wouldn't like to catch a pokemon just to send them to live on a professor's propery, so I'm trying to assemble a team ideal for my performances. I want a team of colorful flames that express the different forms of passion, because that's the message I want to spread with my performances. I'm hoping our newest member, Sam, will evolve into.... something in particular. But hey, that's just my philosophy on catching pokemon. Catching a pokemon is inviting them to the family. What about you? I can imagine you and Nina are pretty close, I can see the trust you have in her." VV goes quiet for a bit. Ugh, I started to ramble. I hope this kid doesn't find me boring. Eh, maybe this is a good conversation to have with someone who's young. Can't say I always thought about why I did things.

Boomy looks up to Nina, before responding "Yeah.... right. Trust me though, this girl has no problem making friends out of people. She lives to make people smile." a strong sense of pride radiates from the skull lass, before looking down at the ground for a bit. "Your trainer, or should I say princess, seems like a caring person. At least, caring enough to carry helpful herbal solutions around. Thank you."

Miiya fiddled with the ends her sleeves as VV spoke about her Pokémon being her family. She could relate, Nina and Kurai were family. Nina was like a aunt or mom, and Kurai was like a overprotective little brother to her. Thinking about it like that makes her chest feel all bubbly. It brought a small yet blinding smile to her face. "Yeah..." Her eyes land on Nina. "Nina and Kurai are my precious treasures... I-I don't know what I'd do without them. I don't think I have found the right one yet, b-but I've been searching for another addition for a while as a surprise for them... But my trip to the safari zone was a bust." She looked a tad somber at the lost oppertunity but it cleared up when Nina looked in her direction as if she detected something off. "It seems they are getting along great. I would like to see that show now. W-we should go do that now, i-if you still want to." She poked her fingers together a bit her loose sleeves of her hoodie flashing the pokeball contraptions inside. One a beaten up old Ultra ball the other a worn regular pokeball that seemed to be in far better condition.



Nina nodded in affirmation. "I have no doubt that your partner is a kind spirit. A true-" Her head turned to look to Miiya and VV a bit of concern flickering through her features, but she relaxes when she notes everything is fine. Her gaze turns back to the skulled Pokémon, after a light sigh. "That girl is much too hard on herself... Anyway, as I was saying, I'm certain your partner is a true friend to those who are lucky enough to meet her." Taking in more of what her conversation partner had said, she formulated a bit more to say. "A princess, I guess it could be seen that way. A girl who spends all her time with her two guards Kurai and me. Closed off in her own world, fascinated by medicine and Pokémon more than people." The large Pokémon shook her head, "At the least she seems to be getting better. Perhaps your partner can help her become more open with the world and other people. Help her in ways that I and Kurai cannot." Leaning forward slightly she reached down one of her claws offering it to the bone wielding Pokémon. "I just realized we didn't exactly introduce ourselves properly. I am Nina, an old battle hawk who specialized in stamina tournaments before Miiya took me in. It is nice to meet you."

"Yeah, lets do it!" VV responds, as they walk into the auditorium, she runs over to blast and gives him the medicine Miiya had given her. After a bit of waiting, VV asks Blast "You feeling up to it?" so which Blast puffs a small smoke cloud in a check mark shape. "THEN LETS GET THIS GOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she yells, as her pokemon all eject simultaneously, cheering like some sort of sports team. They all run to the backstage. "This coming performance, I wanted to challenge myself by having an entire performance without singing, only relying on the sounds of the instruments and the performers to tell a small story that can effectively use the many interpretations of fire." she briefly explains before running to the backstage as well.

The lights shut off. Briefly, it's pitch black. Then, a thin beam of fire shines in the air, revealing a layer of smoke covering the stage. Vaguely, you can see the shape of the pokemon, as well as maybe a second figure in front of it, though kind of fuzzy. At least, until an arm reaches into the sky, the outline clearly visible in front of the fire. The arm comes crashing down, blasting the riff of an electric guitar, making the fire explode in intensity, making the silhouette of VV and Blast now perfectly clear, as the smoke begins to clear, a light shines on the stage and VV steps foward (with Blast following behind), playing the guitar. As the smoke dissapates, a new pokemon is revealed on the side of the stage.

Spoiler: Guitar Part

Ok so the guitar riff is basically this, and the rest of the song is the instrumental version of Reach Out to the Truth

Really, it's just Rey. But in the performance, it's a strange new pokemon, one that was new to the duo. VV waves the pokemon over, and she begins to move her feet in a rhythm, accompanying it with the guitar. The unfamiliar pokemon, though hesitant at first, joins her, as the fire and lighting of the stage becomes a solid red. The two pokemon dance in a choroegraphy that resembles training, with VV playing the guitar and leading the dances. After a bit more dancing, Blast begins to fall behind, watching as Rey continues to dance with VV. He gets upset, as the two had no begin doing dances as a duo, causing Blast to shove Rey out of the way. VV keeps playing the guitar, thinking: Alright, here's where it starts to get interesting...

The two pokemon dance around each other elegantly in a choreography resembling a fight, with VV standing between them, dodging their movements with her own choreography while still playing the guitar. The lighting and fire of the pokemon change to a more orange/yellow color. VV pretending to be angry was something that wasn't hard for her in that moment, as the %100000 focus she needed in that moment to not screw up had her with a very serious face the entire time. Eventually the choreography stops with VV putting a hand on Blast's arm, as Rey does a swords dance. The lights suddenly go off, and the guitar stops. This is it, the part we've been practicing the absolute most...

Spoiler: The Piano Scene

The piano scene is meant to resemble two fire pokemon fighting, with you only being able to see flashes of the fight whenever Rey uses his blaze kick or Blast uses flamethrower, kind of like this part in the batman. Also the song she plays on the keytar is Cell's theme

The silence is broken by the sound of a piano. A flash of fire appears on opposite sides of the stage. On one saide is Rei, who's cape briefly flares a red flame, revealing half of VV. On the other is Blast, who exhales a brief yellow flame, showing VV's other side, revealing the keytar she had in her hands, playing the music. The two pokemon charge at each other, the flames of Rey's kicks and Blast's flamethrower's briefly lighting up the stage, with VV still in between the two, being able to catch glimpses of her narrow dodges with the choreography. By this point VV is sweating bullets. Though she picked a simple song for the piano to make it easier to concentrate on the choreography, a close call causes her to briefly break focus, which in turn causes her to almost go off beat. Distracted by not losing her rhythm she ends up ironically being even more late for the next dodge, which unfortunately happens to be a flamethrower from Blast. Thankfully her instincts take over and she dives off the stage, but the fire still burns her in the arm. While it wasn't anything severe, a burn's a burn, and VV can't help but let out a brief pained scream before stopping herself. Damn, I'm gonna scare the kid! She thinks, tucking her arm underneath her in pain. Needless to say, everyone immediately stops. The light turns back on the stage, as Boomy throws her bone club at the light switch to turn ALL the lights in the room on, and all her pokemon run over to her. Blast was there first, literally having dove off the stage when he saw her jump, in an attempt to catch her. "Don't feel bad dude, accidents happen it's part of the processs. It's literally my job to play with fire." she chuckles, before giving a pained grunt as she feels her arm.

Needless to say, Blast was still upset with himself.

Miiya had taken her seat in the middle front about three rows back from the literal stage. To say that contests were something awe inspiring would be an understatement. VV was doing things that Miiya would see in a movie or one of those action cartoons she'd see displayed at the Celadon Department Store where the TV's were. As the show went on Miiya however couldn't help but get nervous over how much fire was being thrown around. Surely it was being used in a controlled manner. At least that's what it seemed to her. She was by no means any type of professional when it came to the burning element but dancing with it is something she'd definitely never do herself, she wears way too much in the realm of baggy clothes for that.

The show kept her captivated even with all the clear dangers VV was putting herself through, however that stopped when she saw something odd. Did... Did VV just lose her balance? No, she is splitting her focus and it's slowing her down. Her head tilted but when she saw the look of pain flash across VV's face she didn't even need to hear the pained scream she was picking up her bag and moving towards where she had dived off the stage before the lights were even on.

The crowding of her Pokémon was to be expected. They all clearly loved VV and the Pokémon who grazed her looked like they were kicking themselves for what they did even if it was an accident. Miiya's eyes normally soft and slightly weary of her surroundings were instead full of calm and hardened resolve. "Make way, keep calm everything is going to be okay." Her voice was still rather soft, but it had a commanding tone that wouldn't be ignored. Making her way to VV she set her bag down and pulled out a box with rubber gloves setting them aside and taking out a bottle of sanitizer, all the while starting to softly hum a tune. After applying said sanitizer, she pulled out a set of gloves and began to check VV over for any injuries from diving off the stage first. After taking note of only a minor scrape on the elbow on the opposing arm from the burn she nods pulling out a few things: a roll of medical tape, a small bottle of rubbing alcohol, a roll of gauze, that looked comically large for her small hands, a pair of scissors, and some container with what looks like cream inside.

The speed at which the Miiya's hands went at was fast if not faster than Nurse Joy, and probably just as effective. she made sure to clean the scraped elbow and bandage it with a small square of gauze and two strips of medical tape in the shape of an x. As for the burn she took hold of VV's arm carefully making absolutely sure not to aggravate the burn. "Definite burn, definitely first degree... Looks pretty close to second but it seems your reflexes saved you from that." She continued her humming as she removed one of her gloves with her mouth and grabbed a clump of the cream she had in the container and with said clump in her ungloved hand pressed the cool gel like substance on the burn, while using her other hand to keep the older girl from pulling her arm away or squirming too much. After applying it she inspected her work before nodding and grabbing the roll of gauze she analyzed her arm a bit closer. She unraveled enough to cover the burn cut it off and snapped her fingers in the air, opening her hand.

Nina who had been by her side this whole time keeping an eye on everything going on reached in Miiya's bag and gave her a roll of cloth bandages. The Pokémon watched as Miiya layered the gauze on the burn and then wrapped the burned appendage in the cloth snipping it with the scissors before using the medical tape once again to secure the bandages. She inspects her work for a few moments before nodding once again and taking a deep breath. This entire thing took just a little under three minutes but who was counting? Wait is that a stopwatch in Nina's other claw? Yep, that's a stopwatch.

"T-There, all better." Her voice lost that commanding tone replaced was the soft and gentle sound that was the voice VV knew from earlier. "A-Are you feeling any discomfort?"

VV's pokemon all take a step back to let Miiya through. VV resists the help at first, saying "Nah, it's not a big deal." but lets her bandage her arm up anyway. Though, she admired her fast action when she fell. "This reminds me of when I was a kid, even younger than you. My dumb kid brain saw nothing wrong with trying to pet a wild slugma I came across. My hand didn't even go near it before the heat was too much. My dad had to rub a gel on it and then bandaged it." Was that random? Why am I telling her this, to cover up the awkward silence? Ah, whatever.

Once the arm was bandaged, she moved around. "Welp, that's gonna sting tomorrow. Thank you though, I owe you double now.... Want me to buy you a dinner or something? At least let me repay you the materials you've used today." VV wasn't even bothered by the fact the show ended poorly, that was just part of the process. It was the fact that she couldn't repay her that bothered her. Her brain scrambles for a way she can make it up to her. Wait, wasn't she about to sleep before this? Maybe the best thing to do is to leave her alone for today...

Miiya's smile remained while putting the medical supplies away one by one, before placing the container of burn cream in VV's hand. "N-No, it's okay. You were hurt. You don't owe me anything for helping you get better. S-speaking of better d-don't remove the bandages till tomorrow around lunch time. When you do apply that cream to the burn, and it should be gone by the next morning. Just be sure not to let anyone eat it. It may smell like Rawst berries, but it doesn't taste good." Mii's smile wavered a little as VV claimed she owed her double now. She didn't do this because she wanted VV to owe her. She just wanted her and her Pokémon to feel better.

"U-Ummm... m-maybe," She swallowed a bit trying to keep herself from stuttering. "Maybe instead of owing me anything, we could be friends instead?" The girl fiddled with her sleeves nervously, not looking at VV finding the floor much more comfortable to look at in this particular moment. "I'd l-like that much better."

"Ya hear that Sam, no eating the cream, or my arm, just because it smells good." VV says, visually inspecting her arm. The quilava seems genuinely confused by the accusation. VV turns to Blast, who had now kneeled by her. "Come on, I know it was a genuine mistake. I should have known my limits..." a part of her kind of disagreed with herself. In her eyes, her limits were there to be tested, which is why she had no regrets over her burn, and wished Blast could understand that as well. Still, him being this upset was in its own way good. It felt good knowing that her childhood friend cared for her so much. She pats Blast on the shoulder and gives him a big smile.

Upon hearing Miiya's comment about wanting to be friends, she leans back and lays down on the hard, carpeted floor of the theater. She lays there quietly for a bit before giggling. "Dude, I've been considering you a friend since we started walking back here earlier. If I didn't, I'd have given you some money for your help and ran back myself." she raises a hand, which Blast takes, helping her get up. Now properly standing, she says "Well, if you want an official confirmation, there it is. Wanna celebrate it with a pic? Maybe as an unofficial friendship certificate."

The girl just looked up at the girl from her spot kneeling on the floor as she said they were already friends. She was stunned into silence for several seconds. 'W-was that how making friends worked?' Miiya wasn't sure but the girl sniffled a bit her eyes lining with clearly held in tears. The girl leapt into the elder girl her arms clamping around the older girls waist her head smooshed into her belly. "T-Thank you." The girl was so happy to make her first actual human friend. Thankfully the girl's outburst was shortlived, as she managed to clear up her absolutely embarrassing outburst. She removed herself from VV and stood up. "I-I'm sorry. I t-tried to hold it in."

VV was admittingly surprised by Miiya's hug attack, with her saying "Whoah, guys team hug!" All of VV's pokemon gather around her, joining in on the hug, creating a nice warmth. "Join in, you majesty!" VV says, waving a hand over. Never been hugged by a wall before, but if she's used to carrying Miiya around I'm sure she won't crush my bones. She was ready for the rigid embrace.

Afterwards, VV says "No need to apologize for a good hug. Now lets go get something to eat, I'm kind of starving after all that excercise."
