Fossil Pokemon in this RP are different because bringing to life a fossil is literally impossible since there's no DNA left in the calcified stone that serves as the reminder of a life long since lost. So instead of being extinct, they're unfathomably rare and usually only found in deep underground caves and subterranean caverns with their own unique ecosystems. It's about as "realistic" as I can make them.

As for the likely question to follow, you may not begin the RP with a fossil Pokemon. You may capture one later... Much later. But it will have to wait.

When I said these Pokemon are unfathomably rare, I mean that most remain unknown and haven't been discovered yet. So your Trainer will likely be the first to find and capture whichever one you have your eye on which is why you'll have to wait for a while to get it.

I had absolutely no plan to make one my starter- based on the rules you've set I can see how strange and bizare it would be and lore-breaking. I really like what you've set up, I'm drawing and writing my character now.
