Not a problem Prosellet Prosellet

It does include a fossil pokemon though, would that be an issue? ;x
Nope! I love fossil pokemon myself - my characters' pokemon don't reflect my own preferences - and given Sinnoh's expansive underground - and the fact that fossils can be found lying around Mount Moon these days - obtaining a fossil isn't all that rare of an experience. It mostly boils down to a trainer's ability to get it to a proper lab for revival.

If this is still open, I'd love to participate in this. :-)

Okay, just read through all the threads! I leaned towards an Adventure-themed RP, but I will hop on board the Academy anyways, of even better if it's an Academy-deriving-into-Adventure plot as you have been discussing. I'll have my CS up shortly (unless I decide to develop one of my very incomplete-CS babies, in which case... wish me luck haha!).

I've got a few questions:
Will there be classes to attend to? Will you be managing these classes and the professors? How will interaction between the characters happen? I mean, let's suppose every character chooses a different career path, that would make things quite a bit complicated, wouldn't it?
Will there be an over-arching plot?
How are clubs going to function?
Will there be obligatory events? Optional events? Will there be IC days that come to a close relative to real-time (for example, one IC day lasts half a month)?
Just some questions that—I'm sure you've asked yourself anyways—will help you manage the RP, hopefully. I can try and help you if you want, too, so don't hesitate to message me if you are in a pinch haha.

To answer your questions:
  • Classes will exist in the Academy setting - which will merge into an Academy plot - though in less of your typical high school/secondary schooling fashion and more akin to an university setting. Rather than having six hours dedicated to classes each day, students will have freedom in choosing 1) what courses they wish to take, and 2) the general timing of those courses. Think of a college schedule where each class is usually 3-credit hours and each students needs at least 12-credit hours per semester to be considered full time. (The reasoning behind this is 1) to give people the option to focus on classroom settings or time outside of class, and 2) because I'm in grad school and remembering the specifics of a high school schedule is ugh.)
  • Interactions can be initiated by players or through some of the on-campus events I'm planning on stirring up. For instance, there will be a competition starting at the onset of the RP. Also, the ability for players to chose whether to focus on classes or not will allow for opportunities for trainers in differing departments to intermingle. There are also dorms, which I will have more detail on. If you'd like, you can ask another player to be your roommate.
  • Over arching plot?

  • As a social outlet. Your character can chose to be part of one or not.
  • Events are not obligatory, though some are heavily encouraged.
  • The IC timeline is not set in stone; I'll gauge response rates for a bit before breaking out the chisel.

I wouldn't mind joining this if that's alright. I've only been in a school based pokemon rp once before, and it was pretty fun.

Sure thing! I plan on getting the RP rolling soon, so feel free to join the bandwagon.

is this still open for entrants? Leaning the 2nd idea mainly for the dice elements, but a combo of all three sounds nice as well
