7. If you do fall too far behind or get in a hole you cant climb out of that doesn't mean you're done for. Unless you're intentionally a jerk or going against the tide of the plot, you can get back up to pace.

8. If you band together, or fight amongst each other IC, coordinate with each other as I will be overseeing those situations with a final outcome, but stay true to character and drama. Don't force it just because you want to.

10. Please be realistic and do not mary/gary sue or try to god your way through a situation, unless you're literally sacrificing yourself or a Pokemon for something more intricate to the plot.

Background: Jewel was born and raised in Firmir City, where the city was known for it's many berries and supplying Terranova with medicinal remedies. She grew up to a very loving mother, Eve. Her father however, was the epitome of tough love, raising her into a steel willed young lady that she is today. He was always busy with work, being one of the world's foremost authorities on Steel Type Pokemon. Her mother had grown up being fascinated with Fairy type Pokemon, even having a Cleffa as a companion around the house that became close to Jewel as a kid. From there, it was her studies and bright understanding of Pokemon that granted her acceptance into the prestigious Palm Leaf Academy. To honor both her parents, she decided that she would learn to study and utilize both Steel and Fairy, not knowing the combination would cause her to become a fierce warrioress and popular student through the ranks and studies at PLA. She was then gifted a Mawile & Klefki by her father, to add to her captured Pokemon of Snubbull. It was the only gesture her father has really ever done for her since he was always busy, so Jewel kept them close to her heart. However, don't mistake her compassion for weakness. Her ambition and tactical intellect has gotten praise from even the Headmaster, naming her one of the most powerful students at PLA. Now, at the sudden call of a new challenge, Jewel will be launched forth into a new adventure that her and none of her other peers had ever expected.

Background: Ty was born in Fireblaze City, the hottest place in the Terranova region, both in temperature and trends. Raised by a single mother who was juggling three jobs to support her kid, Ty grew up teaching himself a lot so his mom didn't have to worry about him. He always did his best to help her when he could. Even then she was super stressed, and one day, when Ty was only ten, she died of heart failure from the stress. Not wanting to live the same fate as his mother, he promised himself not to put himself under a lot of stress. So while he was in the orphanage he was sent to Ty studied and caught pokemon so he could become one of the highest paying jobs, the champion. His determination, knowledge about pokemon and good looks quickly made him become recognized as one of the top students as well as making popular with the girls .

Background: Evan was born and raised in Palm Leaf Town. Growing up he was an only child with loving parents. His father was a researcher of Water type Pokemon while his mother had liked Psychic type Pokemon for all the time he'd known her. Still, his bright mind allowed him to leisurely succeed in his studies, eventually allowing him to go to Palm Leaf Academy. His Pokemon consist of the Marill and Ralts he had known from his childhood. For his good work in his studies, he was gifted a Froakie by his father. A bit of the loner at the academy, his Froakie seems to be trying to get him out of the room, pushing him to meet new people perhaps.

Background:
Finn grew up in Dale Town as part of a large family, consisting of himself, his father, his mother, and four siblings (two older brothers, an older sister, and a younger brother). Being part of such a sizeable family was frantic and busy, which is probably where his loud and energetic personality came from. It's always a task to make yourself heard when there's seven of you talking at once. Although family life was pretty laid back (despite their constant noisy chaos) for the Flints, both parents taught Finn and his siblings from a young age that if you want something, you have to be passionate and work hard for it, and that you have to take yourself seriously to be strong. It was when he caught Growlithe with help from his eldest brother that Finn decided he wanted to become a strong trainer - maybe even a gym leader. He strives to prove to his family that he won't just be your average run-of-the-mill trainer. Since then, he has worked as hard as he possibly can to get into Palm Leaf Academy, and practises battling every day in order to be the strongest he can.

Background: Born into a quaint, moderately sized house in Dale Andy was an introvert at the start of his childhood, clinging mainly to his parents, Bob and Martha Richter for protection due to extreme shyness. This led to him being homeschooled and learning basic reading, writing, and math from them. The parents wanted him to make some friends with any other kids in Dale Town. However if they tried to help him he would run away without saying a word with a very scared expression on his face, thus leading the local kids in Dale to label him an oddball.

This continued for a good number of years until his 10th birthday where instead of people, the parents tried having him make friends with a pokemon at first. This worked with a Skiddo at the Dale Ranch, the grass kid and Andy having a day of play after a bit of getting to know each other...through the kid poking Andy with horns over and over and being a silly pest. A few years of this led to him coming out of his shell just a bit more, as well as him befriending a Piplup and Swablu (the cotton bird loving to use his head as a perch). He also started exploring the meadows and grass around the town and ranch with parental supervision.

At age 14 he applied to Palm Leaf Academy and at least from a intellectual standpoint, he did excel. Battle wise he would often go for 'wars of attrition' rather then pure power battles, a fact that annoyed a few students. This eventually leads him to wanting to become a gym Leader and maybe an Elite Four member with time and practice

Background:
Daphne grew up in Rosa town, or more so near the Toxic port where her father worked, often unloading or packing cargo onto the ships that docked there. Her mother wasn’t really around much when she was a child or at least from what she can recall, and she had no other siblings so most of the time it was just her father and his pokemon that helped him with work. Daphne was particularly fond of his Nidoking and Honchkrow, both very powerful yet different Pokémon who often quarreled but when it came down to it they made an amazing team.

Daphne’s father valued hard-work over anything else and made sure that she upheld those same values and never took an easy way out. And she did just that, upon being accepted into PLA Daphne studied harder than she had ever before, holding fast to those values and applying them to her daily life. During her studies she toyed around with the capabilities of dark and poison types once again, only this time allying the two. With the crippling nature of poison Pokémon and the cunning yet adaptable nature of dark types, Daphne managed to create one of the most fearsome combinations at the academy, thus leading to her rise in the students “ranks” as a difficult but not unbeatable opponent.

“You’ve heard of Darkrai before, whether you admit it or not is completely up to you. But I’ve heard the stories and seen some of the footage, a pokemon with that type of power..I’d give anything to see for myself, but at a respectable distance of course!”

Background:
Arley was born and raised in Dale Town to two breeders that specialized in Eevees since they're adorable and they're a great starting Pokemon (Hence why Arley has three). Ever sine he was young Arley has always had a connection with Pokemon, more so than humans. Growing up in a rural area meant that Arley spent most of his time exploring outside and playing with wild pokemon (which he made friends with quickly). Later in life Arley was accepted into PLA with ease, there isn't really anything that distracted him during his studies so Arley did pretty well in academics. Though it became clear that his battling really sucked, causing him to be one of the lowest ranked seniors though if he could be good at battling Arley could really be a force worth worrying about since he forms powerful bonds with Pokemon far quicker than any student at the academy. But for now Arley's just the quiet, awkward kid with the three Eevees. No one really pays much attention to him as he mostly blends in with the background.

Background:
Fiore grew up in Flowerbranch City as an only child, daughter to the owner of the local flower shop. Her father is working as a researcher in the medical field in Firmir City and rarely comes home, meaning she spent most of her youth around her mother and her mother's Grass type Pokémon, which caused her love for them and plants in general. Her first Pokémon, however, was her Buneary, a gift from her father for her tenth birthday on one of his rare visits. Her second Pokémon, a Chikorita, was a gift from him as well, while she caught her Budew on her own.

Having a tendency to get lost in thought and daydream, Fiore often spent her time gazing at the clouds or some flowers instead of playing with other children. However, she does like to socialize when not distracted by something else, and managed to find a few friends who could put up with her lapses in attention and memory. Her forgetfulness seems to be slightly selective - things that she cares about more deeply are less likely to slip her mind. This means that for example, she stops forgetting people's names after spending a reasonable time around them and befriending them, but is likely to keep forgetting directions, historical dates and the like even after several repetitions of the information.

Despite not being an obvious good match for the position due to her attention problems, Fiore's dream job has always been a teacher at a Pokémon academy, training future gym leader candidates and other ambitious youths. Maybe her dedication to this idea is partly caused by her own deficits: Being able to retain information and acquire new skills is something wonderful and slightly mysterious to her, so she wants to help others experience it, too.
Fiore figured the best way to start working towards her goal was attending such a school herself, also hoping to become more focused in the process. Whether she passed the entrance exams for Palm Leaf Academy through her hard work and abilities or pure luck is something even she isn't completely sure of. Having been accepted in, though, to her own surprise, she is managing her academic tasks reasonably well. Her grades and rankings are below average, but not the very lowest, either, with her practical skills being a bit better than her theoretical ones.

"I adore Virizion. So graceful and elegant, strong, fighting for justice - and even a Grass type. Well, technically its type is Grass and... uh... something else, but still! I may never be that heroic, but I admire it a lot!"

Background: Elijah was born in Shadowvale City, which happened to be home of one of the most popular shops for Shiny Pokémon, Brooks' Shiny Corner. His family only had one child, him. As a result, Elijah's imagination was as big as could be. It was so big that as he grew, it didn't die. It just grew bigger. Because of this, Elijah is extremely childish and doesn't understand what is too much, which explains why he is so talkative. The Brooks' had plans to have a second child when Elijah was 9, which made him excited. The boy had always wanted to be an older brother. Sadly, when his mother was in the hospital and gave birth, the baby quickly died due to problems with his organs. Elijah's mother and father explained this by telling him that the Storks weren't able to deliver the baby. He believed this, as he hadn't witnessed the birth because of his school. When Elijah was only 7, he was already working for his parents at Brooks' Shiny Corner. As a reward for all of his hard work, he was given a Shiny Phantump. The boy loved the Phantump, which soon became his best friend that he loved to hang out with. When Elijah reached 13, the Brooks' were excited for him to go to Palm Leaf Academy, so they gave him 2 other shinies of his choosing.

Background​

Born and raised in Dale town. In fact, it's been the only place he's ever know. When he was around 10 years old he saw a pokemon battle take place in his town consisting of two powerful fighting types, Machamp and Hariyama. That sparked his determination and set him down the path of a martial artist. Only problem was there was no one around to teach him. So he did the next crazy best thing, he found a wild Pangoro and began to follow and imitate it. Luckily for him, the Bear Pokemon didn't view him as much of a threat. He spent every day studying under his 'master' and actually managed to grow!

About four years later at the age of 14, the Pangoro disappeared. He had no idea where it could have gone, so he decided to go further into the forest. He had a pretty good idea which direction it's home was in but never ventured that far away from Dale. He eventually came across a cave with a baby Pancham inside the cave. He still had no idea where Pangoro could have gone but it looked like they haven't been back for a while. Perhaps it was captured by a trainer? Who knew. But Craig took the Pancham and decided to train it. It was then that he started down the path of a Pokemon Trainer!

A year later he came across a Jangmo-o. Now he didn't actually have any money to buy pokeballs after scraping up enough just for Pancham's. So catching more pokemon wasn't really on the table. But this Jangmo-o was something special. He kept challenging Craig and Pancham no matter how many times they defeated it. It was extremely stubborn and desired to win so much that it ended up sleeping outside his house, challenging them every mourning. One day a wandering trainer with a Lucario entered Dale Town and took notice of Craig and Pancham doing battle with Jangmo-o. The trainer had a different kind of battle in mind. Craig with Pancham and Jangmo-o... Against just his Lucario. They all accepted and were easily defeated. Though the trainer took notice of Craigs skills and decided to gift him with a Pokemon Egg, as well as tell him to go enter Palm Leaf Academy.

Background:
Born to a breeder and musician couple in Shadowvale City with 2 children already, Kara had a mostly normal childhood. She spent most of her time playing with the pokemon her father bred or playing piano with her mother. She had trouble making friends and preferred to spend her time with her family or with Pokemon. Her family noticed she had an affinity for Ghost and Ice types. So at age 8, her parents gifted her a Shuppet she named Voodoo and told her to take good care of it. She was absolutely estatic. The two were instant pals. They went everywhere and did everything together. Two years later, her sister gave her an Alolan Vulpix egg after returning home from a trip. Once the Alolan Vulpix hatched, Kara named her Elsa. Elsa became her little music buddy, staying on her lap when she practiced piano. A few months later, her brother gifted her a Gastly he had caught by accident. He had been trying to catch a Duskull when a Gastly had passed by. Her family threw a small party when she was accepted to Palm Leaf Academy. By completing her time there, she hopes to gain a little more confidence in herself.
