It's a little more horror than this game, but, the basic rules are the same, and can give you a taste for the dice/rules
 
Ghoul Heavy Weapons specialist, preferably with old-fashioned equipment; like a Bozar or something. Perhaps medium to heavy-grade armor, Xen likes his slow bruisers. If nothing else, just throw me last year's exoskeleton and a machete.
 
Ghouls and Mutants are going to be highly experimental rules at first, if I let you play one, the rules you may be operating under might be tweaked midgame. Is this okay with you?
 
Awesome. Ghouls and Mutants are low on my list of things to type up though. I gotta finish setting, basic Perks/Traits, and chargen for humans first, so, please bear with me, ^-^

As for shedding money/never having another use for it, it's a wonderful rules system that I know other folks on this site have used before/are planning to use in the future, and, also, why not? It's called supporting gaming companies that write awesome materials for us.
 
Guys? All due respect to all, but if there is an issue with joining this RP then bow out gracefully. It benefits no-one if this discussion devolves to the point that one of the Mods or Admins has to tack action, and it shows poor form to Thorn. :)

Also, I did point out the ruleset, in the very first post of my recruitment thread. My plate is full with full time school, a full time job, and this. It is far easier to convert rules than to build from scratch. If you are unsure, that is why i linked a free sample. Drive Thru RPG isn't a random site, it's an industry standard now for many RPG companies to release pdfs. I won't direct you to odd foreign sites to virus up your computer. If you wish to torrent it, go ahead, but I don't want to hear about it nor will be held liable for anything that comes from it. In the end, it's an amazing ruleset, thus why I chose it.
 
Can we talk about Carolville? What is it now (Not the treatment plant, but the surrounding ....."hood") ? How does it fair now-and-days?

C-Dub is right. We're getting our collective panties in a knot over books and camps of RP. The merger is supposed to bring folks together. Any storyteller has the right to run whatever system he deems best for his game. This isn't about being from Patter Spider or an Exalted player (hell, this game isn't even using Exalted, so, donmt know why that came up). I'm playing in a few freeform games on here, there is no reason other folks can't give a game with a rulebook a try. If you are unwilling to bend, simply do not play. Accusing others of being set in their ways only shows how much you are stuck in yours. Tonight, when I get home, I will be deleting all posts not directly related to this game, removing this stain of an argument. Folks, learn to get along.

Information on all of this stuff will be typed out in the coming weeks, but, Carolville in a nutshell is pretty much abandoned, except for the treatment plant, which is occupied by raiders and slavers. They've pretty much ransacked the rest of the area
 
I would like to remind everyone here that there will be games that will require you to own something or you won't be able to join, a rulebook in this case. We do not condone the sharing of such material on the inn, but that does not mean you can't find it some where on the internet or share it via dropbox. If this is too much trouble or not worth of the hassle, I would kindly request that users who feel that way should not even bother posting in games like these. "Whining" about it will not change the nature of the game and the fact that it requires a book or has some sort of stat system that will require you to have some external resource. It's quite embrassing to see that the storyteller had to delete that many posts and responses in this thread, and the reactions in them are quite appalling.


I personally look forward to see how this game turns out Thorn! I am a huge fan of WoD and I liked what you told me about your game on teamspeak.

Now I'm curious as to how many posts were actually deleted. It looks hilarious just from the quoting and referencing posts that still exist.
 
Nearly a dozen, Lochar. But, that's in the past now. Focusing on typing up stuff. A lot of the Traits are typed up for those curious on the custom system tweaks I'm making.
 
Okay, going to officially allow test characters with the unfinished rules just so we can get this thing off the ground. Looking for around 2-5 starting characters for the first batch. Chargen rules as follows:


-Currently, only humans are online. If you need to play a ghoul, let me know and I'll try getting that hashed out ASAP


-Standard CharGen as per core rulebook, +35 additional XP


-Traits and Perks that have been highlighted in at least Orange are available for purchase. Red or (obviously) Unfinished are unavailable. If you see one I haven't typed out yet, let me know so I can get it out ASAP.


-Do NOT take the Resources Merit. We will be implementing caps. However, for this first wave of characters, don't worry about caps. Just ask for items within reason, and I'll approve/deny based on ridiculosity. Other Merits for the most part are allowed. If anything doesn't sit right, I'll let you know.


-You may take 1 Flaw as per nWoD Core Rules on a case-by-case basis only. This may change in the future, but, for now, going to see how it rolls.


-For gear, if you're not sure what it would equate to in nWoD terms, let me know, and I will work with you. For the most part, a main weapon of moderate power, a sidearm, some light-medium armor, and a couple stims, chems, or basic gear is acceptable. Once Caps are implemented, it'll be easier to balance it out.


Sorry for the delays. Been mostly a series of unfortunate events that has delayed me, but, frankly I agree with Uziel. Stat-crunch is no reason to not get moving with actual playing, otherwise this awesome behemoth may never rise.
 
Ex-Hooker of asain decent that was placed in some serious debt while carvaning (how she became the Hooker). from a small merc town (if its okay) , Also has a male partneer by the name of Josh who is of Australian decent who worked as her bodygaurd for most of her working life, romantic realationship will develop but will remain simply business till they reach there goal. Is this alright with you?

Perks could i get them, Small Frame and Fast Shot for the Female who i'm going to name Anna and for the male Trigger Discipline and Good Natured.
 
Game currently on hiatus, but, much appreciation. When I have a free moment, will make sure all are running.
