Pirate War (w/ Roman)

Alastair nodded and gathered the men who weren't dead. He led them to the cave, Elm had found. The men then all went back to the ship and carried crates and things back to the cave to carry their findings. After a while of looting all the men got back on the ship and Alastair went back for Elm. When he made it to the camp he his somewhere, watching out for Elm.

Elm assimilated with the natives for a while, then felt her heart light up when she saw Alastair. They might actually live through this.

After the burning, the natives began chanting. They became distracted, giving Elm the opportunity to slip away. When she did, she slid past Alastair, grabbing his hand and whispering, "Run."

"I know that much!" Alastair whispered as they ran. The natives seemed to be intrigued by the burning of such, Alastair found it odd, but he didn't care. As long as he saved his crew member from death or being stranded he was fine. When the two reached the ship, he heard something behind him and scooped up Elm, carrying her the rest of the way. "I hear natives! We gotta go!"

"Hey!" she exclaimed as Alastair scooped her up. When they got back to the boat, she wriggled back down and looked up at him, scolding. "I didn't need you to do that," Elm snapped, "I'm not some damsel-in-distress."

"True, but I run faster. I'd rather be here on the ship, than out there fighting. We almost lost all our men, but we made it." Alastair said stretching. "I'm going to my room now. See ya later."

"What..." her voice trailed off, "What the hell? That's it?" She began to follow him, "We just pull ourselves out of close to death situation and that's all you can say? All you can do? What is your problem?" Elm was clearly upset, "No 'thank you'? No 'glad we're alive'? No 'yay, we did it!'?"

"Oh yeah, good job." Alastair said smiling. "You saved my butt, which I am in your debt for. Now, can I help you?" He asked leaning against the wall.

Elm looked at him and shook her head. "I don't know why I ever said that I liked you," she muttered. Then, she sighed, "Whatever. You said you wanted to show me something when we got back to the boat. About pirates or whatever."

Alastair chuckled, "You like me because I'm different. Same reason why I like you." He said. Alastair theb remembered what he was gonna tell her about the way the Maiden was ran. "Ah, yes. Come in my room, and take a seat, I'll explain there."

Alastair took a seat next to her and began speaking, "Earlier on that island, I told you all pirates aren't the same. Well here on this ship, we are those kind of pirates. We all don't care about the money or the loot or the women. It's the fact we have each other. Before the people on this ship were here, they had no one. Nothing to look forward to, but now we have this ship. The very reason we get up in the morning is to fight another day with our brethren. This ship is our home and nothing can take away the bonds that has been forged on it." Alastair sighed. "I must be boring you to death..."

Elm listened to him talk, the annoyance she had for him sinking away. When he finished, she shook her head. "No," she said, patting the top of his hand, "You're not boring me. That was...a very nice thing to hear."

Alastair looked up at her, a slight smile on his face. He didn't look away, instead he spoke, "Has anyone ever told you, that you're beautiful?" He asked quietly.

Elm felt her face flush when he said that. "Thank...thank you." She was now getting a weird, fluttery feeling in her stomach.

"I was never one for liking another person, but you. You are making me rethink that." Alastair said with a chuckle. "If I must say so myself, I think I like you too."

Elm felt a smile creep onto her face. "Good," she said quietly, "Then let me try this again." She leaned in and gently kissed Alastair on the lips.

Alastair didn't pull away or deny the kiss or anything. After a minute passed, he smiled, "It was a lot better this time." He said, before kissing her back.

Alastair noticed she had deepened the kiss, so he did just the same thing. What am I doing? Should I do this? Are we even allowed to? Alastair had many thoughts running in and out of his head, but he simply ignored them.

After a few moments of kissing, she pulled away, finding herself a lot closer to him than she had planned to be. "I..." her voice trailed off for a minute. "I've never really done that before." She noticed that her arms were around his neck - how did they get there? "What do you we do now?" She quietly asked.

Alastair looked over at his bed, then back at Elm. "I don't know..." he lied. Hopefully I just saved us both...

Elm followed Alastair's eyes, then smirked. "I don't know either." She then kissed him again, harder, practically pushing herself towards his lap.

Alastair continued to kiss her, pulling her over to his bed. He didn't want to do this but she forced herself on him. Leaving him with no choice.

She continued to kiss him for a minute, then suddenly stopped. Elm looked at him, a mystified look in her eye. "Is this...is this what we want?" She asked softly, slowly pulling herself away from him.

Alastair frowned a little, "I don't know... I can barely keep my mind on one thought right now." He said sitting up. "What do you think?"
