I'm fairly new to the website and as I look around I'm seeing a lot of images. They're everywhere. Now, I can barely take a good photo to save my life and my art, well, let's not get into that. What I'm wondering is if all the photos posted here belong to the person posting them.


I don't want to steal anyone's art that is not mine, I know that isn't right, just use it for reference if it's needed for a certain roleplay and the likes. Plagiarism, it's like drilled into our heads as kids and, among other things, it's a constant fear of mine. o_o

Not all the images people post are their personal artwork. What some people do is find something that they like and post it. Some people will also save an image for reference for a character as well.


If you're worried about using an image that belongs to someone else then you can always cite credit, just like you would if you were writing a paper. It's no different. The thing with plagiarism is when you have something and claim it as your own.
