Eli tilted his head back as he looked up at the school, taking in the huge building. Even though he had been on campus during orientation the month before, he still felt slightly overwhelmed. The last high school he'd been too hadn't been anywhere near this big. He shifted the backpack on his shoulder, which was filled to the brim with almost all of his stuff, and took a look around. Cars were parked along the entire street as other new and old students were dropped off. Some couldn't leave their cars fast enough and speed walked their luggage up to the dorm building, while others said tearful goodbyes to their families or even had their parents help to bring their stuff inside. It was early Saturday, unofficially moving-in day, and class wouldn't officially start until Monday. He stared back up at the building. Seeing all of his possible future classmates was making him start to feel jittery. All these people around him, crowding the hallways and making it impossible to avoid contact--he shuddered, shaking his head violently to get rid of his thoughts. No, no he would be fine. This school was supposed to 'help' him, or they'd said something like that. The invitation letter was crumpled somewhere in his backpack.

"You'll be okay here, right?" His mom asked next to him, looking like she was on the verge of tears.

Eli resisted the strong urge to take a step back from her. He knew she wanted to hug him goodbye, but he couldn't do it. He carefully took his duffle bag from her. "That's what I've been told." He shot his mom a small smile, and then patted the hood of the car, where his dad sat in the driver's seat, and started towards the dorm building.

"Aiya? Dear, are you asleep?" There were faint, rustling sounds as the layer of blankets surrounding her were pried loose. Grabbing onto the sheets tighter she shifted and murmured a soft "No" to indicate that she was awake. "Oh, good. We're here, hon, come now you can take the blankets off. I have the heater turned up now, see?" True to that fact, she could hear the minute sound of buttons being pressed and the persistent whoosh of hot air blowing from the exhaust. She then allowed her mother to remove the jumble of cloth surrounding her, revealing to her the humid inside of their car, her parents sweating profusely, and the jostling of the crowd outside.

From her seat, Aiya could see the main campus off to the side. To say that she was not feeling ecstatic would be an understatement. She had been living within the comforts of her room and home ever since the accident, deeming the outdoors as fatally dangerous for her condition. Why her parents even considered sending her off to a remote high school would be forever lost to her, even though they assured her that it was for the best. She allowed her mother to fuss over her for a couple more minutes before stepping outside, decked in her usual outfit of a coat, fleece vest, tights, headband, scarf and boots. Stares from the surrounding crowd were not lost to her as her parents ushered her towards the dorms. After all, who in their right mind would wear winter clothing when it's not even winter?

Eli stopped in the doorway, looking both ways as the hallway split into two directions. He hesitated, and then dug in his backpack for the brochure, which he vaguely remembered had a map on it, only to realize too late that he'd left it in the car. Crumpled on the floor, more specifically. He took a chance, since someone was likely to bump into him the longer he stood still, and followed a family down the right hallway. He almost went straight by his room, mentally thanking his luck as he went inside. He was instantly relieved that his roommate hadn't gotten there yet. Handshakes were his worst enemy.

He shuddered slightly, dropping his bag on the left bed. He looked at the door, not entirely sure what he was supposed to do now. Stay inside to avoid the masses and have an awkward talk with his roommate about why he couldn't shake hands, or try and find a place where he'd be alone for a little while outside? Though going outside meant braving the flood of people coming into the building. He shook his head at himself, crossing out the idea, and simply started to unpack. Awkward talk it was.

William Johnny Jackson sat shotgun in a SUV as his father pulled up to the school. He was clearly angry from the stern look on his face and shaking of his foot. He never wanted to come here but his family said that it was 'for the best'. They knew nothing about the boy. There was a flip side to this though as the boy was diagnosed with Koinophobia, the fear of being normal, which explains his red hair, red contacts, dragon ear piercing, gem rings and necklaces. He was more feminine than his father would've liked but he could tell his Dad feared him.

The older man spoke up, "William-"

"Don't call me William, Dad. You-You know the name is Beau. B-E-A-U. Not William, Will, JJ, or anything else. It's Beau. God!"

"...Beau, I just want to make sure you're OK when you go to school here. I also want you to not cause any trouble,"

Beau's eyes widened, "D-Dad, I-I have to otherwise I'll be normal."

Mr Jackson sighed, "Fine. Just don't go crazy,"

The two of them stepped out of the car and took Beau's metal spike covered suitcase and pin covered backpack out of the car and to the front gate, "Be good," Dad stated firmly

"Highly unlikely but OK."

Beau turned around and walked towards the male dorms and towards the one he'd be staying in. He opened it to see that he'd be sharing with another boy.

"But I never share!" He groaned and threw his bags on the bed and began to unpack in a disorderly way. He hoped his roomie would be OK with mess and him not being normal but if he didn't like him that was fine. He liked himself so that was all that mattered.

Aiya stared at the brass plate on the door to her new room, engraved with the digits "101". She heard a soft click as her father unlocked the door and hauled her luggage inside. "Well, this isn't so bad," was his comment. True, it was not as spacious as her room back home but it appeared neat. Noting the presence of another bed absently, Aiya made her way to the one on the left side of the room as her parents went about unpacking her things, throwing out comments about the room and school and reminders for her stay. Listening quietly, she could feel the beginnings of anxiety creeping in. It's been years since she had interacted with anyone else but her parents, even to set foot out their door. Now she's in a school with strangers and in an open environment. How should she act? How will they look at her? Should she really be here? What about the weather? What if it gets cold?

She gave a start when she felt her mother's arms around her. "There, there, sweetheart," she murmured. "Everything's going to be fine." Her mother gave her a gentle smile and she noticed the open closet arranged with her collection of blankets, coats and scarves. Her dad was also grinning at her holding her favorite beanie. "We're a call away, hon. No need to panic," he stated while fitting the beanie on top of her already covered head.

A couple more reassurances were said before her parents bid her teary goodbyes. Now alone, Aiya figured she had nothing else to do but stay in the room until... supper, perhaps? She shrugged to herself and took out her iPod and a book, and huddled on her bed covered completely in one of her wool blankets.

Finn Mitchell

Finn looked up at the school building while maintaining a weary distance from all the people around her. Some seemed to be doing the same - perhaps they were like her. All of them, just like her, had some type of... problem. Some phobia so serious that it's almost uncontrollable, so bad that they have to come to this school - the only one who'd accept them for who they were. Finn sighed. She was just like the other students who go here - not completely normal. Finn stared at the ground as she walked to her dorm room. 101, yes. She unlocked the door and almost screamed. There was a girl wrapped in blankets on one of the beds, and there were two. Finn shook in fear as her palms began to sweat, turning cold and somewhat clammy. Calm down, she told herself, but her brain thought otherwise. She'd deal with the girl later. Finn edged to her side of the room, and locked the door before doing so. She avoided eye contact, and started to set up her things in a hurry, anxious to leave the room.

@YanaAi

There was a break in the song she was listening to just as the door clicked shut. Looking up, Aiya saw another girl edging towards the empty bed. Ah. Roommate, she thought. The girl clearly looked scared; the reason as to why was lost to Aiya since she was the only other being in the room and she was pretty certain she wasn't "scary". Though if it was because of the fort of clothes that she had on, then the reaction would be a first.

Whistling tunelessly under her breath, Rikst fiddled with the key to her dorm room door: room 105. The murmur of the crowd down the hall and the faint voices from the rooms around her put her in a remarkably good mood. Once she managed to unlock the door, she cracked it open, picked up her bags from the floor and stepped inside. She stood for a moment to take in the room (careful now, watch the corner of that desk) and took a few steps forward.

No one here. Oh well. She decided that she had the right to first dibs and picked the bed on the right. The springs creaked as she threw her bags onto it. She tested the bed and sat down gingerly next to her luggage.

Getting to the school had been an ordeal, but here she finally was. The flight over from Amsterdam had been hell, sure, and she still suffered from jet lag. She stifled a yawn. On the upside, now having made it through the terror of flying and an anxiety-wrought car ride to the Academy she felt distinctly optimistic about the coming days. Meeting new people, being in a brand new country; she looked forward to it all.

A ray of sunlight beckoned her to the window. She did not lean close to it in fear of hitting her head, but she could see the forest that surrounded the school stretch out for miles. “Nice,” she breathed. Too bad she would never set foot in it, but at least she had a great view.

Dodging a hasty conversation with her family, Tessa made her way up to her dorm-- which she would be sharing. Queue internal screaming. Taking a breath she glanced down at her simple yet sophisticated attire, having chosen it in hopes she would gain others approval rather than scaring them off with a 'mom' look that she had been informed was not exactly considered acceptable for a teenager-- the portofilo shirt tucked into black skinny jeans was considerably relaxed for Tes. The Freebird Cario suede boots were pushing her further from her original goal, but she had hopes that the school truly had no shoe preferences in their code as she had brought quite a few of her own allowing her her style.

Despite the heavy boxes she carried Tessa's dress shirt remained pristine as she hauled her belongings to room-- 105? Turning the lock silently she stepped through the threshold finding it to be somewhat smaller than she had grown accustomed to at home, but never the less she would manage-- Kinda. Noticing a girl occupying the room already her eyebrows shot up as she slipped on a smile.

"Oh- I'm Tessa Esplice, you must be my roommate. Pleasure to meet you." She stated moving almost immediately to put the boxes on the empty desk. "Sorry in advance but-- I just want to fix this up. Just really quick." With a gesture to the room Tes moved over to the mass of her belongings.

Setting to work as soon as she had both hands free, Tes began arranging the room so it would have definite boundaries and direction being sure to avoid the girl in every way she could. After unpacking all her belongings setting her violin was the last of her needs as she had easily set her room to peace in a mass of 15 minutes, glancing around she nodded at her apparent work of art before turning back to the girl.

"Sorry about the wait-- I just wanted to get that settled before I started chatting." Smoothing her hands over the pristine silver/navy chevron comforter that covered the once bare bed before settling herself in front of her assumed 'roomie'. "Hope that didn't take too long."

Was that be too straightforward? What if they think I'm a shut in? Will they understand what I'm saying? What if they don't like me? Does she hate me already? She hates me already doesn't she.

At the sound of someone entering the room, Rikst glanced around. The girl that stood there must be her roommate, she assumed, and when she confirmed this Rikst lighted up and smiled in reply.

“Hello, I’m Rikst. Nice to meet you too!” She started towards Tessa to offer her hand, but faltered when the girl immediately moved to begin unpacking her belongings. For an awkward second her hand hovered in mid-air, though she managed to turn it into a vague gesture of ‘sure’. “That’s alright. I still have to sort out my stuff anyway.”

She turned and set to work on unpacking her bags. Her method of doing this consisted of dumping out the contents of one bag at a time onto her bed, and putting things in whatever place seemed suitable. A glance at her roommate’s bustle told her that there were far more efficient ways of going about it. Faster ways too, because Tessa had finished with her much more extensive luggage when Rikst was only halfway through hers. She was impressed. Nice to know I won’t have to worry about a messy roommate, she thought. I’ll probably have to up my game, though.

“Don’t worry about it.” She looked down at the mess on her bed and gave up on her own sorting for the moment. Sitting across from Tessa, she leaned back. “So, exciting to get started here, right? Are from around here did you have to travel a long way?”

Eyeing the clutter behind the girl-- who had identified herself as Rikst, Tessa's lips folded into a mellow smile a few of her internal fears melting to a puddle in the back of her mind temporarily put off for the time being. "It was a relatively short trip compared to some that I've made in the past." Her response paused before adding, "The biggest change will be not having the beach where I can see it." She shrugged the smile once again finding its way to her face.

"I am still quite excited to see the other students and get to know them-- I'm just nervous that I wont do the right things or be the right person for them to like me." stopping short of continuing her worries she shook her head, "Sorry I didn't mean to tell you that-- that was just internal commentary." Rubbing her wrists nervously Tessa's smile turned a bit more pained rather than 'chill'. "What about yourself? Did you travel far from-- home? Are you excited-- For the classes? People?"

I said too much, I creeped her out. Shes going to hate me now. Who am I kidding she never liked me. Why am I even Trying? Grandma was right.

Finn Mitchell

Finn stared at the girl awkwardly as she sat on her bed. Oh, God, she was going to be sharing a room with this girl she didn't even know. Why was she covering herself in those blankets? Damn, looking at that made her feel sweaty and unstable. Looking at the floor, she carefully edged to the farthest place in the room near the corner, where there was a dresser full of her clothing. She pretended to examine the dresser as she peeked at the girl from the edge of her eye. Shit, this was the worst first impression she was making. Well, probably not worse than the time she spoke to that therapist. She winced at the reminder of the memory.

[FLASHBACK:

"I want to go home. Let me go home. I don't want to be here, nothing is wrong with me!" Finn screamed, angrily. "Sweetie, this is for your own good-" Finn's mother reached out to touch her shoulder comfortingly, but her daughter shot backwards into the wall like fire had tried to burn her. "DON'T TOUCH ME!" The therapist - Mr. Cullen, as he called himself, smiled at her, but to Finn, it seemed alien-like and mean. Bursting into tears, she threw the first thing she saw at him - a small wastebasket filled with nothing except for a small stack of used notepad paper, a tissue, and a banana peel. The contents of the basket flew everywhere, and the man tripped over one of the papers that had fallen. Paper flew everywhere, and Mr. Cullen was so close to her... Anxiously, Finn recovered by running out of the room, stepping on the man in the process as her mother gaped after her.]

Aiya blinked as the other girl all but ran to the other edge of the room. That definitely was a first. She had endured her relatives patronizing her since the accident, her childhood friends shying away from her since they could not tolerate the drastic change in her lifestyle, and even her parents' overly protective tendencies. Seeing someone look so unsure of themselves just because they were in the same room as her was certainly unusual.

Unsure of what to do in this case, Aiya considered ignoring the other and going back to her book, before her phone went off with her mother's name on the screen. "Mom," she greeted quietly.

"Are you alright there, sweetheart? Are you still alone?"

Her mom's voice echoed loudly from the phone's speakers, highly audible in the silent room. Aiya winced. "Yes. And no." She glanced at her roommate. "My roommate's here."

"That's wonderful!" Her mom's cheery tone was starting to embarrass her, truth be told. Furthermore: "Can I speak with her? Oh, I knew we should have waited for a while. We could've met her in person!" She knew for a fact that her mother was speaking to her father at this point, with him grinning uncomfortably while keeping his eyes on the road. "Let me speak with her, honey."

What? Aiya blinked. "But," she tried to see how the other girl was reacting. "Mom, that's really..." Really unnecessary.

"Go on, honey. Give her the phone. It's been so long since we've met a friend of yours!"

Sighing, Aiya stood from the bed and ambled towards her roommate. "Here," she said, gesturing towards the phone. "You should take it."

Finn stared at the girl who had the nerve to approach her. Oh, God, what should she do? Finn could feel her palms getting cold, getting sweaty... calm down, calm down... she assured herself. She shakily took the phone the girl was offering her, making sure not to come into contact with the girl's skin. After taking the phone, she took a few steps backwards. Finn's face was now a pale sheet of white. "H-h-h-hello?" she whispered, her voice cracking.

@YanaAi

Seeing the girl practically shaking, Aiya grew more curious regarding her roommate's reactions (and a tad bit more embarrassed with how her mother was acting). During orientation, it was revealed that the students chosen to attend the school more or less dealt with certain... differences. Aiya knew how she differed from normal society; she wondered how this girl was.

She could still hear her mother's enthusiastic voice as she tried to hold a conversation with the girl. "Sorry," she offered. "You can give it back."

Eli was almost completely unpacked when he heard someone else come into the room. He turned around, but seemingly went unnoticed as Beau dumped his stuff out onto the bed, muttering to himself about not wanting to share. Eli kicked his nearly empty duffle bag under the bed, and cleared his throat to get the other boy's attention. "I'm not sure where I'm getting this from, but I'm guessing that you wanted a single room?" He smiled a little to show he was joking, putting his hands in his pockets. He glanced around, as if seeing the room for the first time. "You still can, well, probably," He shrugged. "I won't take offense."

Beau turned around, looked at the boy he would be sharing his room with, rolled his eyes and turned back around, "Things I need to know before anything; Phobias, mental health, physical health and how good you are at being roomies with someone who hates humanity." He unpacked messily and threw his stuff around his side of the room. He liked mess. It was more organized chaos which he loved.

( @S n o w Eli's picture won't come up on your CS )

Eli blinked. "That's kind of personal don't you think? I mean, you don't even know my name and you're asking me about my mental health?" He shook his head. "But, since you asked so nicely, I have thalassophobia, and... for the second one, I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours. All you really need to know is that you should stay out of my personal space." Eli sat down on the bed, watching him throw his stuff around as he thought about the other questions. "Doesn't everyone have mental health problems?" He asked instead of answering. "That's all I'm willing to answer since, y'know, we just met." He laid back, staring up at the ceiling. "Okay, now you."

@MuffinRPs (Fixed it)

Beau groaned and laid down on his bed, "Koinophobia which is the fear of being normal which I do not have!" He laughed anxiously, "My parents think I have some sort of personality disorder. Ha! As if! I am a weak mo-fo physically and I hate the world with a burning passion. So why don't you do me a favor and answer questions in the order of which I tell you, hot stuff," He frowned angrily. He was already pissed off. He got out his phone and opened the group chat with his 'friends', Vince, Greg, Dominic and Charlie. He told them about how he hated already and wanted to leave.

"Huh." Eli sat up, giving Beau a once over. "Yeah, I can see that." He smiled, and his smiled turned into a full on grin at his next words. "No, I don't think I'll do that. I kind of don't take being bossing around too well." He said lightly, shaking his head. "And what did the world do to you anyway? All it does is rotate." He made a circling motion with his hand. He paused, looking up when a voice rang out over the intercom above them.

"Welcome all new and returning students to Sibyl Academy! Lunch will be starting in fifteen minutes! All students and even faculty members are advised to attend, and if you get lost, please find the nearest counselor! They will be stationed all over campus today to help you if you are lost, or to help you take your next step towards a bright future! We hope you find your time at Sibyl Academy to be an enlightening one!"

"We should probably go to that." He said thoughtfully, eyeing the mess that was Beau's side of the room.

@MuffinRPs

"Everything! I have no great experiences. They're all just..meh. My life is terrible and it's the worlds fault because it exists." The announcement was made, "I'm skipping lunch. Fuck today," He rolled over and faced away from his roomie. He took out his earring and removed his red contacts before putting them where they belonged. He took off his leather jacket and threw it at the end of his bed. He rolled onto his stomach with his face in the pillow whilst whining and whimpering.

"You're life being aver-" Eli abruptly cut himself off when he realized what he was about to say, covering the rest of the sentence with an overdramatic cough. Great job Eli, you were about to call someone with Koinophobia 'average'. Why don't you offer him a handshake too while you're at it? He cleared his throat. "What I was going to say, before that mysterious coughing fit, was that, uh, while this experience-" He gestured around the room. "-might not be great, it is different, and not 'meh'. Not a lot of, uhm, regular people come to a school like this." Eli wanted to grimace at himself, but at least he was making an effort. He studiously ignored the sounds Beau was making. "Whatever's going on in the cafeteria sounds important. I don't think it would be a good idea to miss it."

@MuffinRPs

Beau groaned and sat up, "Fine!" He put his contacts and earring back in before putting his jacket back on, "Let's go then." This kid seemed pretty okay. He definitely wasn't normal and that was a good thing. He decided to show a small interest in the dark haired boy, "Oh and what's your second phobia? You said you had another," He then quickly realized he could trigger something, "If you do't want to tell me that's fine too,"

Eli watched him with an amused smile. Beau didn't seem all that bad, despite the bad first impression he'd made by trying to boss him around. He walked out of the room, stopping in the hallway for a few seconds to see how many people were around. It was nearly empty, not crowded like it had been earlier. Eli breathed out in relief. He headed towards the exit, considering Beau's question. He sighed. "Hapephobia, since you keep asking. And don't ask how, because I won't answer. It's not a big deal." He muttered the last sentence.

He paused just outside the dorm building. "You wouldn't have happened to have a map with you?" He smiled nervously back at him. "Because getting lost and walking randomly around the campus doesn't sound very fun."

@MuffinRPs

Beau walked outside with the boy. His phobias were the sea and touch which was an odd combination. He had heard of people with the fears of open spaces and touch but not this. He hummed in interest and looked up at him with a blank face, "Me? With a map? I'm never prepared for anything unless it's unsusualizing myself. That is a word I made." He then remembered something, "You seem like a good guy. Name please," He smiled and twirled one of his rings in his hand.
