It was a little past noon when one Lika Servelt bounded from the doors of her family's manor and on the the cobbled streets of Verdence, giggling like a a newborn as she did so. Today was a very important day as one of her dearest friends would be returning to the city after three years of being away, in fact she just had to rush of over and tell another one of her friends the news. There were a few townsfolk who stopped the girl to chat with her and ask how her day has been, she answered with her usual statement of "It's been lovely!" and went back on her way, turning down an alleyway between the doctor's house a another residence after walking a few meters. This alley was usually where her friend Darren spent his days mixing medicine in his hideaway. She then located the door to her friend's hidden sanctuary and knocked three times. "Darren, are you in there?"

Darren had been working on his newest lead of making a different relaxation medicine. Using a mix of chamomile, peppermint, and rosemary. As long as it was perfectly balanced it would become a relaxant and pain reliever at the same time. He had been asked by a client to make something like this for their son who often had painful muscle spasms during the night causing him issues when sleeping. Even though the kid had the same issue while awake it was harder to get the right amount of relaxation herbs in this mix that wouldn't make the boy tired as well. Darren was unsure if he were to add something like maca if it would coincide still with that of the muscle relaxation. He frowned slightly skimming over the notes he had taken on the mix for daytime. "I would like to keep these three in this mix, but, I can't garuntee that the maca would settle in with them and not cause other problems. Perhaps if I lower the amount of chamomile and peppermint adding in that amount of maca powder to it, it might balance it out while giving him the boost he needs during the day, but still not overloading his muscles." He was still frowning as he tapped his chin, he almost didn't hear Lika as she knocked and asked if he was in. Standing he heading for the door and opened it, "I must say I am rather surprised you didn't just walk in, haven't I told you that you can come in here anytime you wish?" a slight frown still marring his good looking face.

Lika just gave a beaming smile as she entered the hideaway . "You did, but a lady must always use her manners." She replied as she sat down in a chair situated in a small herb garden Darren kept in the place. "But that said I have some news for you that might make you a little happier." She then paused by closing her eyes and took a deep breath and gave her friend a bright smile. "Alex is coming back to Verdence today!" By now the white haired girl was hoping that Darren would be as happy with this news as she visibly was.

Darren chuckled slightly at how she said she needed to be proper, he looked up when she mentioned Alex. "How many years has it been now since he went out on his own adventures? Hopefully, he will bring me back some rare herbs that will be useful..." He was at least no longer frowning but the slight smile on his face was for the hopes of having new herbs to work with not from being able to see a friend he hadn't seen in years. "When will he be arriving and is it by ship or some other way? Do we need to meet him?"

“He mentioned in his letter that he would be in Verdence’s central square at around noon.” Lika answered before catching sight of Darren’s grin. “Looks like you’re excited to see him again too aren’t you?” She teased with a smile on her face and a light clap of her hands. “As for wether or not it’s by ship, the letter mentioned he would be coming by on foot. So I think it’s safe to say he might not look the greatest when we see him.” A look of concerning flashed across Lika’s face before turning back to the cheerful expression everyone knew her for. “That being said.” She added in singsong tone. “Would you mind if I helped you out around here until noon?”
