For the past few days it had been tragic for eighteen year old Paige. She and her boyfriend had been going out for a romantic meal, then a car had hit them and they crashed. She had only for a few bruises, but her boyfriend had, had a big memory loss. He couldn't remember anything or anyone, not even himself. She had spent days with him at the hospital, until she had to take him home and help him get his memory back. She sat him down on the sofa and then sat beside him.

I'm Paige. I'm eighteen years old. We have been in a relationship for over a year now, and we've been living in this house. You may not remember anything, because you lot your memory. I'm deaf, I can't hear anything whatsoever. I've been like this since I was a baby. She writes and then shows him.

Uggh... Jaden moaned as he turned on his side, his former position being severely uncomfortable. God, what happened? What's going on? Asking himself, trying to find an answer or cause for the pain he was in. Slowly, he opened up his eyes, noticing a girl whom he had no recognition of. "Wha-Where am I? Who am... I... Y-you..." Damn I have a major head ache. Running his hand through his hair, Jaden tried to calm down and make sense of everything. He notices the girl holding a piece of paper with words clearly written on it, but he hadn't the strength to read it at this time. "Water." He spoke, feeling dehydrated.

Paige reads his lips and realises that he needed water. She stood up and wandered into the kitchen, she grabbed a glass and then poured some cool water into it. She returned back to the living rom and sat beside him, she places the cups to his lips and pours it in, then places it aside, fluffing a pillow that was beside him. She smiles weakly and then pets his head, feeling really bad for him.

Jaden closes his eyes, feeling much better after the drink. This girl, who is she? She's kind, cute too. He sighs in frustration. Why can't I remember? He struggles, but eventually is able to sit up straight. After a few moments, he coughs then asks, "Wha-What's going on?" He barely managed to speak.

Paige smiles and then passes him a whiteboard and pen, so he could talk to her, in a way of which she could understand.

If you want to talk to me, be sure to write what you want to say now, so I can understand you. She wrote, giving him a warm smile.

Jaden didn't understand why she was acting this way. Confused, he picked up the whiteboard, reading her first note. He couldn't tell if he understood better, or if he was more confused. She's deaf and I lost my memory. Okay... He erases what was previously written and starts writing.

'What happened? Who am I?' He wrote, both concerned and terrified that he can't even remember his own name.

Paige read what he wrote and then took the whiteboard, writing something of her own.

You were driving us to a romantic restaurant, a car was speeding and then crashed into us. You hurt your head really badly, and lost your memory. I'm okay, though. I had a few bruises. Your name is Jaden.

She lifts up the sleeves to her dress and shows him some bruises on her arms.

Jaden... He closed his eyes, trying to look back and remember, but he couldn't. She must be telling the truth, right? Who would lie about something like this? But I can't remember... Surely it's true. He smiled at the girl, which instantly led to his head furiously pounding. He gripped his head in pain.

'I'm sorry I don't remember you, Paige, but I have a terrible migraine that really hurts. How about we save this for later, I need to sleep.'
He paused before he continued writing. 'Could you please escort me to a bedroom?' He looked at the couch, there was no way he was going to be well rested trying to sleep on that.

(I'm actually going to try and sleep again. I'll be on tomorrow. ( :) ) )

Paige nodded and then helped him to his feet, showing him towards their bedroom. She helped him get into bed, and fluffs his pillow for him. She sat on the edge of the bed and watches him, placing a hand against his forehead as she made sure he wasn't too hot or too cold.

"Thank you." He said, even though she couldn't hear him. Jaden smiled at her, happy to have someone who cared, even though he had no idea who she, himself, or anyone was. He laid his head upon the fluffed pillow and instantly fell asleep.

She watches him for a few moments and free tired soon enough. She looks over at him and bit her lip, she curls up gently beside him on the bed and held him closely, staring up at the ceiling. She hoped he would be okay, she wandered how she would get his memory back. Whilst she thought, she fell asleep.

Jaden stretched out his arms like a cat as he woke. Wow, I feel much better. All the pain, except for his headache, had gone away. He looked over, noticing the girl who helped him last night had fallen asleep right beside him. There was something about her that calmed and soothed him. Only if I could just remember everything. Ugh... He sighed, and sat upright whilst leaning his body against the wall.

Paige felt, faint movements beside her as her eyes fluttered open as she watched her boyfriend awaken. She had ran some ideas that could jog his memory and stood up, stretching and then wondering over to a cabinet. She picked it a few photo albums and curled up on the bed beside him with them.

"Hey, you're up!" Jaden said enthusiastically, forgetting she couldn't hear him. Oh, right... She got up, without paying much attention to him but then he realized she was just getting something. She came back to bed with a photo album in her hands. He smiled at her as she sat down beside him. Maybe this will bring back my memories! As she flipped through the photos, he saw many pictures of them together, of him with her, but he didn't remember and it only made himself feel fake. But, for her happiness, he decided it would be best to pretend that it helped him remember.

Putting his arm around her, Jaden kissed her cheek and smiled.

Paige blushes and then pecks him on the nose lightly. She closes the photo albums after a few minutes, realizing this probably wouldn't jog his memory. She wraps her arms around him and pulls him into a warm hug, she didn't seem down heated or annoyed that he couldn't remember anything, she knew this would take time, possibly more then just a day.

Do you need anything? I'm gonna cook some food soon She wrote and shows him, smiling warmly.

'I'd love some food. I'm starving!' Jaden's stomach growled as he wrote. Embarrassed, he got out of bed and attempted to stand. He did good for a few seconds, but was a little unstable, and fell to the ground.

Paige helps him to his feet and walks him downstairs, she places him by the fireplace and then began to prepare some food for them. She serves it up and then places it on some plates, she sat beside him after passing him his plate and then began to eat. She had prepared his favorite meal.

"Wow, this is amazing!" He ate as if he'd never eaten before. Damn this is good... All the pain in his head went away as he ate. Suddenly though, he was finished. He pretended to cry as he took his last bite. He wanted more. "Umm.." He held out his plate, hoping she had more but tried not to be greedy.

She giggles softly and then took his plate, putting more food on it and then giving it to him. She say down beside him again and places a head into his shoulder, feeling his forehead again, even thought his temperature was perfectly fine, she worried a lot about him.

Mmmmmm. She's amazing. He thought to himself. Once he finished devouring his plate, he picked up the whiteboard and marker. 'Tell me about yourself. What do you like to do? What do you like to eat? What's your favorite color? I want to know everything!' Well, re-know, in this case. He laughed at himself and gave her the board.

She looks at the whiteboard and smiles, taking it herself.

Well. I like Art, music and I can play the piano. I go to piano music lessons every Thursday after school. I enjoy doing charitable things for others. I also like to dance too, and I teach little kids how to dance as a job. Sushi is pretty nice. My favourite colour is pink.

Seems like I fell in love with the perfect girl. Wow. He pauses and thinks for a moment about how perfect she was. Until he realized something. 'How can you play piano if you can't hear...' He did not mean to come across offensive and hoped he didn't, but, that was really confusing.

I guess I do it as a hobby really. I just feel the music, I know it sounds odd and all, just imagining what it would be like if I could actually hear what I was playing.

She writes with a sigh and shrugs lightly. As much as she respected deaf people and others with disabilities, itnrrally sucked sometimes. She looks to him sadly.

He gave a half smile and pulled her in for a hug. Jaden felt so bad for many reasons, but for her sake, tried not to feel bad because it would probably only make things worse. He kissed her on the cheek and looked her in the eyes. "I love you." He knew she couldn't hear him, but hoped she could read his lips well enough. He smiled at her again, this time a full smile.
