I'm looking to start a group that loves persona as much as me. It would be a small group at first but as the group expanded we could do missions together and stuff.

So far I've only played P3, P4 (and Devil Survivor 2 if that count for something). I haven't neither played P5 nor read/watched any of it's content yet (because I want to save it for whenever I have the chance to play the game). What are you having in mind right now ?

I'm in love with the idea I had before but I think starting it with a club for the paranormal would be a perfect starting point. Then progress into the overall plot

I’d be super down for this. I recently posted to reddit in hopes of creating something similar. I’ve participated in a Persona 3 based OC RP group in the past and it was extremely fun and well written, but it’s long gone now. I’ve played 3, 4, and working my way through 5 currently. And I love a paranormal club setting, makes plot easier to jump off of.

Heck yeah I figured it would be way easier then a school group that has no idea of the paranormal. Or people just getting stuck in it. We can start it all up with just us for now if we wanted

Sure! Where were you thinking of hosting it? Discord? Since I posted on reddit I got a few interested DM’s to guide me and one potential member so I could refer the guy after we set up. I’d be super down to help write the plot if you needed help btw. I’m new but as a writing major I could use the world building experience. If you want this to be all you then by all means that’s fine too.

I have a few interested people I can add and a soft stats system for battles from my past Persona RP group if you’re interested. It’s honestly much easier than following something like DnD 5e which I was trying to do and it was so f*cking annoying (personally).

I think we will use your method. When I have done persona in the past we all had our own personal persona. The theme was about the mirror world (can't remember the name of it but it is a legitimate belief in another country that mirror worlds exist. There is also a certain name for the monsters on the other side.) So I based the concepts of it around this lore. It can be the plot for the investigation leading to the mirror world. Persona-wise it was not a matter of just having yourself but something that happened to each person after the event of finally entering the mirror world. Ex. My character was taken to a metal Forest where he encounters a large metal wolf known as Fenrir (for the sake of this to I think we should do Personas based on famous detectives or something dealing with their past.)
Another thing we did was create dungeons that we essentially created from our characters back stories. For my character it was his past back when he left from home a few years ago. So just let me know your thoughts.

That sounds like an amazing plot, I love it! I think for new players though such specific personas might be a tad hard, but everything else I love. The dungeons are great too. How do you feel about the setting being in P5's Tokyo but mainly independant of anything from P5 except maybe a few landmarks?

The RP runs in real time. A day passed in real life is a day passed in Reflections, unless agreed upon in a special case by a majority of the cast. This does not mean the dates have to line up, or that we're following exact hours. Let's say it's April 16th in game, then it's July 16th here. All posts made that day are on the 16th. Please do your best to follow. This allows for less jumbling of the space time continuum.
Each character has only one persona. We will not be using the wild card. So if you choose the arcana of the fool, you still only have one persona. Don’t worry, as the story evolves, so will your persona in due time.
We will be excluding the use of any form of instant-death skills, so characters may not use light or dark-type skills. This includes Hama/Mudo skills, Samsara, and Die For Me.
For inter-character non-personal communication (i.e. text/instant messaging), send the character's user a PM.
Please think long about what you want your character to be! As changing will not be allowed once your character is established in the world, unless you contact the mods and the change is very much needed, it will not be changed. Please contact the mods if you would like to have more than one character, as-well! This is agreed upon by a case-by-case basis, but we are open to them.
No OP, super wealthy, nouveau riche, Bruce Wayne/Tony Stark, level characters guys. A rich background is fine, but don’t go overboard.
Shadows are assumed to be controlled by the mods, unless you want to do them yourself, or they are an antagonist you created. You can also ask to control enemies yourself, under certain circumstances.

Absolutely perfect. I think the only thing to cover is the process of obtaining the Persona. I don't want everyone to think we will obtain our Personas at the same time. (I will be regaining the Magicians arcana and Nekomata for this rp) Should we do a process similar to p5 where the starting characters gain Personas first and we gradually get people who awaken to them?

Good! One thing out of the way. I think that should flow fine. Since we’ll start our small with few people, getting our Personas starting then adding people as we go along should be fine. And their Persona don’t have to be awakened instantly after they send their character sheet. The character can establish themselves on the world first. Sound good? Also, are we only allowing one of each arcana? I’m not looking for magician but just incase others are looking at taken arcana it should be added to the rules if this is the case.

Hm. I think Arcana were mainly important sure to social links. I said magician Arcana mainly due to the fact my persona is off the magician Arcana. Up to you. I am fine with either way.
