Character

Name: Dunban Wells

Age/Birthdate: 16, born December 15. Third Year at Lanham High.

Appearance (Image and/or description): Dunban is of below average height and weight for his age. He has a round face that dimples when he smiles and curly brown hair. His skin is white like a vampire's. He typically wears contacts but can occasionally be seen wearing glasses. Dunban's wardrobe consists almost entirely of baggy clothes: Sweatshirts, sweat pants, heavy coats, cargo shorts... Depends on the weather, of course.

Personality: Dunban is a diligent student, not because he wants to be, but because it's the one thing he knows he can always beat his fellow students at. He is very self-conscious and always out to impress someone, even if he knows it will only end in embarrassment. This is because Dunban has always imagined himself in the center of something big, the main character in an epic fantasy, destined for greatness. This may be a notion gained from the almost unhealthy amount of video games and anime he consumes in his spare time (most of it pirated, nyeh heh heh).

Regardless, he is friendly enough. In conversation, sarcasm and eye rolling make up his main shtick. He tries not to divulge his hobbies unless someone expresses a direct interest, but once he gets started talking about them he won't be stopped.

Backstory: Dunban has lived in Lanham his entire life. This doesn't exactly bother him, as he'd spend most of his time inside no matter where his family lived. In fact, he always liked Lanham for two reasons. One, there was a place he always went for monthly video game competitions, where he earned a name for himself as the most average gamer in town. Second, he loved the rumor mill.

In Lanham, the easiest way to make friends was to challenge the various spooky rumors the students passed around. As a little kid, it was a test of your bravery. In middle school and high school, it turned into a goofy game that everyone played. To Dunban, it was always the latter. He was the "bravest" kid in his elementary school simply for not being superstitious, and the attention it garnered him was much appreciated. However, as time went on, Dunban's exploits became more the norm than the exception, and he never really stood out anymore.

However, in August of 2019, a new rumor arose that caught everyone's attention and rekindled their childhood fears. It is with this rumor that our story begins.

Appearance: A tall woman sitting down with a loom. She has long, blonde hair and a simple white dress, all of which seems to flow downward to where is fades into a ghostly vapor. When she pulls yarn from her golden shuttle, abilities burst forth.

Forte: Healing/Support. Learns skills to charm enemies and put them to sleep.

Name: Eivuri Girusu

Age/Birthdate: 17/June 23rd - Third Year At Lanham High

Appearance:

Personality: Eivuri is what one would think to be an average teenager. He is quiet mostly unless spoken too, or with friends. He is pretty smart and got many good grades back at his old school, a skill he does not which to throw away. But if pushed to the brim, he can be quite emotional, and snap hard. Also, he can be one of the most focused in class at any subject he puts his heart into, due to his resourcefulness and skill to create something new and bring it into the world.

Backstory: Eivuri was born in Lanham, but his family moved there from Tokyo, explaining his name and appearance. He isn't what you would call perfect, but at a glance that's what it seems like. He lives in a nice home, with his loving family, swimming in competitions and playing the violin in recitals for fun. Heis smart, skilled, resourceful. Why has he not gotten the girl and been all popular since? Because of an incident. His brother was forced by a money-hungry counciler into making false accusations about his parents, so for now they have been split up, him being alone in his house, only with his grandmother and his puppy, sadly doing the things he took for granted, feeling trapped by the corrupted law that put him there. HIs parents are currently battling to bring his family back together, so hope is still in his and their eyes.

Name: Rose Richarson

Age/Birthdate: 17/April 23rd

Personality: Rose is very kind, giving, and loyal. A social butterfly she likes to befriend almost anyone and everyone. She knows how to work hard and never gives up. Academically she does well, knowing that studying hard will pay off in the future. When it comes to conflict Rose does not enjoy it, and avoids it when possible. With such a giving personality and avoiding conflict, this has led to her being used by other people and not knowing it. Still Rose believes everyone has good in them and gives second chances. After her brother's accident however, she is more withdrawn and slowly allowing guilt to eat her.

Backstory: Rose grew up in Lanham her entire life. Her family is considered middle class with her happily married parents and her older brother James. Rose had a very happy and average childhood growing up. Thanks to their happy upbringing they did well in whatever obstacle threw at them. Rose considered James to be her best friend and looked up to him, since he was brave and adventurous, wanting to leave Lanham.

However her brother would not get the chance. One night he was heading out to spend time with his friends. Something in her gut told her to prevent him from doing so. Her brother ignored her concerns and assured her he would be fine. At 2:15am the police came to their door and shared the horrible news: James and his friends had been involved in a terrible car accident and they all had passed due to the severity of their injuries. The driver of the other car has not been found. Rose blames herself for not trying harder to make James stay in that night.

Name: Sam Kane

Age/Birthdate: 17/March 25th

Appearance (Image and/or description):

Personality: Sam is a geek in every sense of the word. He loves sci fi and fantasy, is usually seen reading a comic book or manga, sees just about every superhero movie that comes out every summer, and is usually wearing t-shirts and other clothing that have either a character or reference to whatever video game, tv show, anime, manga, or comic book he happens to be into at the time. Despite this, he tends to be very quiet and reserved, usually not flipping out unless he sees something that greatly excites him, like say, a movie being made out of one of his favorite comic book characters. Generally he is a kind, well mannered young man, who is quiet most of the time, but once you get close to him, you won't be able to get him to shut up.

Backstory: Sam was born and raised in The Big Apple itself, New York City. His family wasn't very rich. They were comfortably middle class, but every now and then it was a struggle to make end's meet. Sam himself had to work a part time job along with school to help his family pay for things like rent, electricity, and food. Sam's parents were good people, and only wanted what was best for their son. This included sending him out of state for school so that he could focus on his studies while they focused primarily on getting their family financially stable. Sam was understandably a bit apprehensive about going to a new school in a completely different state, but he knew his parents were doing this for his own good. Sam now currently resides in Lanham, Ohio with a cousin of his, named Dean, who owns a comic books shop, above which sits an apartment he'll lend Sam for the year. It's not free of course, Sam still has to help around the shop, but things seem to be going pretty smoothly...for now.

Character

Name: Remi Nunen

Age/Birthdate: 16. Remi was born the 14th of March.

Appearance: Remi often finds himself being one of the tallest guys in the room, as he stands at somewhere around 6'3. However, thanks to his slender form and tendency to hunch down, he appears slightly shorter. Reim has always been on the paler side, but it has gotten better as of late. Remi has a head of medium length, light blond/almost white, hair, with a few wisps of darker and lighter hues here and there. His hair is rather unruly, so, he tends to wear a cap to keep it under control and away from his golden brown eyes.

Personality: Dreams are fickle things

Remi is a relatively laid-back guy with a curiosity for anything and everything, which has made him know a bit about everything. He is quite the energetic guy, finding it hard to stay motionless for long periods of time, often getting quite fidgety if he has to remain still for long. Despite this fidgetiness, he can devote hours upon hours of his life doing just one thing, always striving to do better than last time. He is carefree, friendly, but maybe a bit naive, always giving people 2nd and 3rd chances; even if they don't deserve them.

But, lately, things have taken a turn.

He has turned silent. No longer finding the joy he used to in reading up on strange facts or hanging out with people. His friends have begun to think of him as cold and distant, and some have even stopped hanging out with him.

Hopefully, fate will find a way to force Remi back onto the right track and back to his old self.

Backstory: Whatever happened to "the sky is the limit"?

Growing up, Remi's parents told him the lie that he could be anything as long as he worked hard. Scientist, astronaut, politician, policeman, or maybe he could even be a teacher. They sold him the idea that with enough work and dedication the world could be at his fingertips. That was until he turned 16 and told them his biggest dream, his dream of becoming a painter. Suddenly, there were ifs and buts, questions and hesitation, and outright dismissal of the whole idea.

A painter? There was no future in that. No future, no money, no safety. Being a painter wasn't a career choice, it was, in their words, a dumb choice. They told him to become something reasonable, to think ahead, far into the future, but all Remi heard was that his dream was a dumb one and he could see it crumbling right before his eyes.

After that talk, Remi started distancing himself from others, growing silent, and one after the other he started throwing away all his stupid dreams. He focused more and more on his grades and grew more and more obsessed with the future.
