Bruno is typically secretive of his motives and reasons for fighting alongside the Investigation team. He acts a little cold and distant to his comrades but will step up to help them, showing he has some care for them. Bruno has a manipulative personality, which he will use to his advantage and try to manipulate people to his cause. His agenda matters more to him than saving the world from doom. Despite this, Bruno does not like doing evil acts and does not derive pleasure from it. He sees himself as a neutral party as opposed to the others in the Investigation team. Bruno can be calm and collected during battle, even managing to crack small jokes. He sees the lives of the Investigation team as something to keep an eye on, other than disregarding it. Bruno questions if he really wants the Dark World to end and return to a meaningless life.

Bruno's weapon is a gladius, which was a sword that the Romans used. starting from the 3rd century BC and until the 3rd century AD. Linguistically, within Latin, the word also came to mean "sword", regardless of the type used.

History
Bruno was born in Florence Italy to two parents who were working for the Government. Growing up, Bruno had a normal childhood with nothing of note until his teenage years, since he moved to Angel Island. The boy hated it there and wanted to go home. He got bullied at school and did not fit in with the other kids, until he discovered the Dark World randomly. Bruno soon awakened to his Persona and traveled the Dark World. The male was suddenly powerful, or at least powerful enough to summon a persona. Bruno however knew about the various dungeons that littered Dark World, not being strong enough to infiltrate them by himself. So, he was unable to get any good treasures yet.

Personality: Fiercly loyal and determined to do her tasks perfectly. She is very proud of her power as a shadow weapon and hates being insulted/disrespected, or at least percieving an insult. Her main motivation and goal is to destroy shadows, as it was what she was intended to do. She's as blunt as someone who doesn't understand a lot of social queues, but tries her best to understand humans and fit in.

For now, she doesn't have access to many complex ranges of emotions. Up until now, she hasn't had anything to expand her emotional intelligence. Hopefully this new group changes that.....

Persona: Benkei, a legendary warrior who served Minamoto no Yoshitsune during the Heian period. He was most known for his feat of collecting 999 swords from other warriors in combat.

Element: Physical/Almighty

Role: The blade of the investigation team

Weapon: Dual odachi, that stick to her back magnetically. The blades have "Nemesys" engraved on them, as well as a serial number. The handles are also metallic handles that magnetize to her hands when she wields them. She could also magnetize to them to her arms, making them a different style of sword swinging.

Ranged Weapon: She can shoot minature lasers from her eyes at a semi automatic rate. Think of it as Crow's laser pistol in P5.

Motivations:
- Destroying all shadows
- Living up to her purpose of being an anti-shadow weapon, gaining recognition from the humans around her
- (Eventually) Being on par with a human

Fears:
- Failing her mission of destroying all shadows.
- Being nothing more than a robot

History:
The creation of Nemesys was one plagued in conflict in the Davenport group, often hearing the arguments between the engineers around her.

"The name? Sure, use a name from Greek mythos."

"The weapon? It should be something from Japan, don't you think? What do you mean no? A katana would be much more effi-"

"WHAT? You want to base the body on a Valkyrie? Are you dumb? None of this is consistent thematically! What kind of a third rate engi-"

It was always conflict, and one of her earliest memories was wishing they would stop. Humans gave her life, power, and a purpose. Why would they put so much effort into fighting, over her of all people? She would feel a twinge of guilt for existing, though she didn't know what that feeling was at the time. All she knew was her sole purpose.

In order to achieve this mission, she joins/is sent to the investigation team to help.

Personality: Theya/n is the kind of person who skulks around looking for dirt on you, but never what you'd expect. Never are they looking for the deep dark secret you've been keeping in hopes that no one would ever question your worth should it ever come to light. No, they find that really embarrassing time your friends tricked you into dressing up for a fake holiday at school. They're just in it for a laugh, nothing serious. Don't misunderstand though, those skills are no joke.

Role on Investigation team: Bufu user, spy, tinkerer sometimes.

Weapon: The rope dart is often seen as a complicated and impractical weapon in the context of a straightforward 1v1 fight. But why play things fair? Theya/n certainly doesn't.

Ranged Weapon: Throwing knives are simple and succinct, as long as you keep eyes on.

Motivations: The Dark World is an unnatural place not for humans to defile and twist to their own selfish ends. That makes it their job to strike down anyone who would and find a way to close off the Dark World for good.

Fears: Being the one to make the harder decisions, leave that to people more capable people.

History: Theya/n was born a woman, but their parents were convinced otherwise. They needed a son after all: a little nepo-baby to bring up into the family business of espionage, and they already had the daughter they needed in Theya/n's sister. But you have to play both sides after all. When your clientele fills your pockets the way they do, gotta make sure to protect the sanctity of the company: Enquête d'Éon. But after one particular mission, Theya/n got a hold of something they shouldn't have. Now the Dark World has opened up to them.​

Persona: Izumo-no-Okuni, the Mistress of Kabuki, the Idol Priestess. In the Dark World, Okuni takes the form of a woman carrying the ofuda and omamori associated with shrines, but dressed in the ornate hairstyle and attire of a geisha. Contrary to the style of kabuki, it also wears a blank face mask with a single eye opening.

Element: Nuke

Role on Investigation team: Observer/intelligence gatherer in the outside world, supporter and distraction in the Dark World (debuffer?)

Weapon: Gohei/Wand. In the Dark World, such an implement becomes sturdy enough to cause harm with a good swing, though it is not especially potent in itself.

Ranged Weapon: While in the Dark World, ASURA can conjure small speakers floating around her that can create waves or concentrated blasts of sound.

Motivations: To seek some manner of spiritual truth through the expression of her music, and even more to find her sister Fen-fang.

Fears: The truth she will find about Fen-fang's fate.

History:

Several years ago, in an orphanage in the northern city of Obihiro, Hokkaido lived several children of varying ages and backgrounds. One of them was a teenager of apparent Chinese descent who had lived with the name Fen-fang (芬芳) as long as she could remember. Close to her was a younger girl who she knew to be called Mo-fang, who adored her greatly. Life in the orphanage was sometimes more difficult than for other kids, but there was something resembling happiness there. As one would expect, those among the youths who ended up not being adopted by the time they were 18 would have to leave and find proper work, but Fen-fang aspired to something greater. Ever the talented singer and guitarist, she wanted to chase her chance at becoming famous across the country, if not the world. So when the time came to leave, she bid 15 year old Mo-fang and the other kids goodbye and traveled to Angel Island with little more than her clothes and a beaten-up guitar.

Weeks turned into months turned into a year, and not a single word was heard from Fen-fang. "She's forgotten all about us now that she's chasing her dream." "She's probably washing dishes and scrubbing floors somewhere after having her dream crushed." Mo-fang refused to entertain such talk, and soon, she disappeared from the orphanage as well.

Some time later, a mysterious and iconoclastic DJ surfaced within the underground music scene of Angel Island, an asura rumored to have gone up into the mountains to study arcane arts and cultivate her spirit, only to return on a new wave of sound. Taking cues and liberal amounts of samples from folk music, DJ ASURA became the darling of the indie dance music scene.

During the day, Mo-fang interrogates and investigates any lead she can, trying to track down what happened to Fen-fang, while at night, ASURA explores the universe through a range of eccentric sounds.

While not specifically rude or aggressive, Mo-fang possesses a rather aloof and esoteric personality, alternating between laconic responses or non-sequitur and occultic speak in conversation. Even so, she has a certain care and concern for younger people and those facing hardship.

Personality: A bit of an introvert

Arcana: Hanged Man

Persona: Balor (Inspired by the legendary figure from Irish mythology, known for his immense strength and a single, powerful eye that could lay waste to enemies) Balor would take on a form that is both imposing and focused. He would appear as a towering figure with a lean, muscular build, reminiscent of a powerful boxer in peak condition. His most striking feature would be a single, large, glowing eye in the center of his face. His fists are encased in glowing, rune-covered gauntlets, representing the raw, destructive power he can unleash.

Role on Investigation team: in the outside world Katsuyori is very good at tailing people for intelligence, in the dark world he is a front-line fighter using his close range attacks to cause as much damage as he can before backing off and use his magic abilities.

Weapon (Please be descriptive): Dual Crowbars/ fists (has been fighting since he was a kid)

Ranged Weapon: Sawed off shotgun

Motivations: Leave behind his past self and be the man his “Father” wants him to be. Finding where his real father is and give him a piece of his mind (with his fist)

Fears: His past catching up to him and failing his “Father”.

History: His early life in the orphanage was marked by neglect and abuse, leading him to attack a staff member and steal the keys to the front door to escape and search for a better life. He found refuge with an elderly sushi chef after some time living on the streets, eat and stealing what he can to stay alive. He offered him shelter and guidance in exchange for hard work and a commitment to education.

Katsuyori's past has made him wary of forming close relationships, but he holds immense gratitude and affection for the old chef who took him in. He channels his emotions into perfecting his skills, both in school and in the kitchen, striving to honor the trust and kindness shown to him.

Despite his efforts to stay out of trouble, Katsuyori struggles with the anger and pain of his past, sometimes leading him to get into fights with other students or against other bullies he encounters. These moments reveal a vulnerable side to him, one that fears returning to the life he escaped. He’s on a journey to find peace and purpose.

Louie Santoro
26 Years Old - Male (Still Figuring Out Sexuality)

Personality: Good-hearted, tender, and willing to make others feel better than himself. Unlike many of his peers, Louie likes to spend time with others and meet new people, without being the most express extrovert.

Team Role: By himself, Louie is a good negotiator or face of the group in rough social situations. In combat, while Louie can indeed do stark damage, he also uses his fire to heal some of the injured to keep them from knockout or death.

Persona: Zanni Pedrolino
[Zanni Pedrolino is an archetypal character in traditionally Italian commedia dell'arte. While other Zanni, such as the early Harlequin, denote the common character of a clown, Pedrolino is special in that he sits in between roles, often the go-between, the willing servant, who survives in serving others.]

Dark World Appearance (If Applicable): Louie's typical cozy outerwear is replaced with an outfit befitting any classic noir film; a short-brimmed hat tilted over his right eyebrow, a long beige overcoat, a patterned grayscale two-piece suit with an orange tie, black brogues, and black gloves.

Ranged Weapon: Tommy Gun

History: Louie's parents were always connected by a thread; his mother is a famous photographer and his father was a gardener. They met on Honolulu by chance and spoke over the phone afterwards. It was only a year after that they moved into a New York home from his father's inheritance, and only two more after that Louie was born.

As a young boy, Louie was taught well by his parents. They even visited his father's home village in Italy, where Louie became interested in many traditional arts, including theater. Louie exhibited signs of a resistance to change in his life, but the loss of his father at the age of 5 nailed that into his personality. Him and his mother mourned for three years afterwards, followed by a year living with his father's grieving family, before again moving to the States. While many might think this would ruin Louie's sense of upheaval, it only really numbed it into his subconscious.

The boy finally grew up in one city for most of his life, which sadly came with his mother falling non-fatally ill. They recently moved to Angel Island for better treatment, which should keep her healthy for years to come. While she stays in hospice, Louie stays in Dual Spires Apartments. His family's theatrical history inspired a love of history and mystery within Louie, who now works as a freelance writer hopefully finding work at a nearby news outlet or similar industry.

Motivations: To sate his curiosity and discover the mythos of Angel Island and the Dark World; to keep the Dark World from changing the Real World too much.
Fears: Another major upheaval in his life, the pre-mature death of his mother, submechanophobia.

Personality: Takashi is a stoic young man, at first sight, he doesn't seem to care much about things, and moves at his own pace. But he really is trying to find his own path, and even trying to help out. There is, however, something hidden. For years, he had a burning rage, and he sees that as stupid now, as he looks for his own dream. Even if his own feelings are confused, he found a way to express himself with food. However, bad habits die hard, and like an explosion, he can snap if pushed. He still has a hard time thinking too deeply, but feels like he is in his element when things are in motion.

Persona: Ajax, Son of Telamon, in the Trojan War, he was seen as one of the greatest warriors of the Greek side, after the invincible Achilles, fighting for his own glory without a prayer to the gods, only to fall to madness and despair. He carries a great shield.

Motivations: One of his friends got caught on an Dark World incident, so now he needs to know what's going on and should there be any guilty parties, he will get justice.

Fears: He is bad with heights, and fears losing his passion again.

History: Takashi never knew how life could change so quickly, or in so many ways. First, he was just another kid, without much worries, even if he had to deal with his fair share of jerks, but he managed to keep his head up. Until his grandfather died in a break in. Even if the man was caught, Takashi was angry, but didn't have a way to vent. A bad day for idiots to cause him problems. He still didn't realize when his fist smashed into some punk's face. From there, he started to look like a magnet for punks, becoming notorious as a delinquent, even if he just wanted everyone to just get lost. During one particularly bad encounter, he was helped by a restaurant owner. Even if he didn't leave the fashion, he started working for the man, learning to cook and picking up a new dream. But now, once things seemed to calm down, a friend got caught in something, with the Dark World rumors being the only clue. Well, if he had to get the old fire going once again, so be it. This is something he had to do.

Gender: Female

Personality: Erina carries herself with poise most the time keeping a shell of arrogance/coldness around her when in everyday life. She cares not for the trivial life's of the everyday man, She just keeps to herself and hones her skills to a razor's edge. That being said she has a spot for jokes and will at least smirk a bit at even the dumbest joke. She doesn't talk much taking in rather then putting out, but somehow is also ready for fun banter between people she has taken a liking to. To describe how mostly how she feels in social situations she is very hot heated, and can barely keep still her mind racing all the time sometimes she would blurt out words and then expand on them later. She has always been a let's get this done now so no problems going forward type person.

Persona: Scylla- A monstrous sea nymph with a beautiful upper half and 6 sea serpent for a bottom half. She hangs out on a cliff and attacks anything that gets too close. She shares the area with another sea monster Charybdis. Scylla is a lesson how to navigate tough situations when surrounded by bad options take the lesser evil.
In the dark world Scylla has the upper body of a beautiful woman with blue skin and black eyes and long hair that looks like it's underwater. her chest is torn open showing a glowing icy blue heart that is being guarded by 6 serpent heads with dog-like mouths. Along with this Scylla is holding a microphone chained to her wrist

Appearance in Dark world: Unlike her rather dour attire in the real world. Her dark world appearance is rather vibrant. A very flowy dancers dress covered in seashells in various sizes and shapes.

Role on Investigation team: Zio User/Transport (she can drive almost anything)
and an electronics specialist.

Weapon: Twin pearl white karambit knifes representing fangs, along with a microphone on one end.

Ranged Weapon: A green revolver with revolver with 6 head design on each of the cylinders.

Motivations: To gain the power to protect the weak from the strong/Find the perfect lyrics for her Magnus opus.

Fears: the power could corrupt her and she becomes the strong that she despites so much.


History: A girl with a strong sense of justice and right from wrong. inspired was she by superheroes always saving the day, wanted to grow up to be just like them. Foolish dream sure, but a dream she worked hard for in the only way she knew how. Learning she tried her best with combat but was far too weak to ever do something like that. An easy solution she would learn everything she could about leadership and law. Everything clicked like clockwork, although she quickly grew a major disdain for the system. Her hate grew like a wildfire, hate that built up to a boiling point. Let forth through a primal scream that wrote her first song, emotions that spill out with every word, They inspire light fires in the souls who hear it like a lightning bolt of inspiration.

Such an amazing talent that she was scared of, leaving it closed off from the world. Her life is rather uneventful adopting a rather dreadful style that looked gothic and chic at the same time, along with this she found herself having a knack for eletronics being able to disassemble them and reassemble with relative ease, due in huge part to her photographic memory. This was around the part of her life in which she started to get into music, loving everything about it. She loved how it made her feel, how she felt heard, how she became the center of attention without needing strength to do so.

Her talent made up for her inexperience becoming a rising star in the heavy metal scene as well as having some pop songs that aren't as well known. This was only the start as her small cult following quickly turned to a movement to change the system that she hated so much. Her music allowed the voiceless to have a voice, the weak to push back against the strong. Although this turned her into a villain, Erina was seen as a revolution leader when she wanted to be just a singer. Now with pressure bearing down on her more than ever, she needs an escape while still wanting to help those who can't help themselves.

Name: Naomi ‘Mimi’ Redfield

Gender: Female (She/her)

Personality: Outgoing, thoughtful and friendly, Naomi has a charm that many are drawn to. Her ability to keep a level head in stressful situations serves to ease the nerves of those around her, even if it is mostly an act. Delegated as the mom-friend by her peers, she concerns herself with ensuring that everyone around her is comfortable and happy, even going so far as to be self-sacrificing. If there are two people and one chair, she will always be the one to stand. If you asked for no pickles she will make sure that the waitress knows you asked for no pickles.

Sexuality: Don’t like man. Don’t like woman.

Arcana: The Empress

Persona: Judith, Slayer of Holofernes. A widow who saved her city by charming the enemy commander and then beheading him in his drunken sleep. In the Darkworld she appears as a feminine figure draped in black silk that obscures her face and features. Red candles burn on her shoulders like ornamental armor and her hands are stained crimson. Spider-like appendages made of sharp metal act as both legs and weapons for the figure.

Element: Bless/Hama (debuffer)

Role on Investigation team: Coordinator. She keeps the team connected, ensuring that everyone has a voice, often arranging meetings and hangout events to strengthen the bonds of her teammates. Her organization helps to maximize the team’s ability to get tasks done. Her keen communication skills in a team filled with introverts also gives her the default role of spokesperson, working with Louie.

Dark World Appearance (if applicable): Naomi wears a modified nun's habit with gold metal embellishments on the shoulders and cowl to mimic a crown.

Weapon: Arming sword (typical knight’s sword)

Ranged Weapon: dual hand crossbows

Motivations: As someone who wasn’t given much support in her early years, she strives to be that person for others. She strongly believes that the Dark World can be a tool to do good. Saving the world from destruction is more than enough motivation for her.

Fears: Losing her autonomy (drugs, alcohol, etc.), being stalked.

History: All things considered, Naomi’s childhood was a happy one. She had two doting parents and a younger brother she could stress over. The only thing that changed this was when one day her mother’s mental state took a sudden and drastic turn for the worst. Suffering from what the doctors could only diagnose as schizophrenic and bipolar episodes, the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde shifts tore a rift in their family.

Her father was the first to leave, though the children remained. Naomi couldn’t understand the full logistics behind it, but she never forgave the man for abandoning both her and her mother. With her mom struggling as she was, Naomi had to grow up overnight to take on more responsibilities than any child should. She did all that she could to care for and shelter her younger brother from the worst of her mother’s meltdowns.

Mother’s mental state deteriorated over the next few years, to the point that after a particularly harsh psychotic break she was admitted to the local hospital and then mental institute. Naomi was 17 at the time, but it was close enough to her birthday that the court granted her guardianship over her younger brother. While her mother was in the care of a hospital, she carved out a new life for the both of them.

In the beginning she took refuge with an aunt, but after enduring some unsavory interactions with her uncle, it reached a point of no return. She stayed only as long as she had to, and left at the first opportunity. Though supporting her brother on her own was difficult, Naomi was determined to succeed. She took on a few jobs, which eventually landed her a management role at a local pharmacy (store side of things).

The following years were brighter, though part of her wondered if her mother’s mental snap was caused by something in the Dark World. She hopes to find out and potentially prevent the same thing from happening to others.

There is always some joke on the tip of his tongue that he doesn't hesitate to let out or thoughts racing through his brain that runs free. Cannon is likable by most people and easily fits into friend groups and cliques with minimum effort. Cannon does his best to not be forgotten and uses himself as the butt of the joke of his entire life.

he will do nearly anything to make people laugh or like him, and despite his smiling face, he takes insults straight to the heart. Cannon doesn't hesitate to help people in any way he can and tries to make others feel better with his goofiness. Despite his empathy for others, Cannon's own emotional growth is very stunted, hiding his big feelings behind a joke or smile.

an infamous jester from Edgar Allen Poe's story titled Hop-frog. A disabled clown who is the laughingstock of the king and his council. His story is one of revenge as he kills the king and his men before disappearing into the night, never to be seen again. You can read more here -> : )

weapon: a comically large plastic squeaky hammer with the word BAM! written on the side in comic style. Also coloured blue and yellow with streaks of neon pink.
ranged weapon: a cheap and offensively brightly coloured(blue and yellow with a line of neon pink) water gun.

history: Cannon's birth was as insignificant as his life, if his mother could have skipped it, he had no doubt she would have. Cannon was a mistake in more ways than one; an accidental pregnancy as a result of cheating. This drove a rift through his family that everyone in the house blamed on him. His birth cost his mother her job(sleeping with your boss and not using the proper protection is just an accident waiting to happen), which left them on the line of poverty. Even his sister, who was 15 years older than him, wanted nothing to do with him.

this environment created a deep sense of guilt inside Cannon for his own existence. He has spent every day since that birth trying to make up for the 'mistake' of being born. He will do anything he can to make people like him, bouncing from activity to activity he doesn't even like. He will talk to anyone and keep talking until they eventually tire of him. He smoked for credit among his peers and even, in the past, hurt himself for the laughs of others.

Cannon does not like himself or care about his well-being. He just wants to be liked. So he smiles and acts so that everyone likes him, at least just a little. He was the weird kid everyone had heard of, the type of person everyone found funny, but he was never the type of person you truly cared for. He is desperate to fix this and make himself wanted instead of facing his self-hatred.

Personality: Kline Has a quick, biting wit and loves to give sarcastic responses, especially when someone asks a "dumb" question. He Doesn’t sugarcoat anything and often calls people out bluntly, but somehow, his honesty can be helpful. The critter comes across as very cool, almost unphased by most things. He’s seen a lot, so it takes a lot to surprise or impress him. Kline Tends to be annoyed by loudness, optimism, or anything too “cheerful.” He’ll complain about it but secretly appreciates it on rare occasions. Despite his rough exterior, he can be surprisingly protective and won’t hesitate to give advice or step in if someone’s in real trouble.


Though he’d never say it out loud, he deeply values the people he cares about and would go to great lengths for them,he just prefers they don’t make a big deal about it. He has high standards and isn’t afraid to let others know when they don’t measure up, but if someone does impress him, they’ll earn a rare (and usually backhanded) compliment.

History:
Kline wasn’t always the cute little creature you see today,he was once human. His story began at eighteen, a rebellious punk kid with a rough edge, outcast from society. He and a few like him, one day found themselves pulled into the mysterious Dark World, where each of them awakened strange, their personas. Unsure at first what to do with these newfound abilities, they soon committed to a shared purpose. making the world, or at least their city, a less crapier. Their efforts started small but had an huge impact: crime rates dropped, and people started to feel a little safer.

But one day, something strange began to happen. People around town started displaying odd, behavior, becoming strangely hostile. Suspecting a disturbance in the Dark World, Kline and his team ventured back in, only to find themselves caught in a trap,a brutal ambush planned by a powerful persona user and his league of deadly shadows. The ambush was merciless; Kline’s team didn’t make it out alive. Kline barely escaped, but at a cost: a potent curse stripped him of his human form and his memory was taken.

Now, lost in the endless shadows of the Dark World, Kline roams as a small creature. For years, he has wandered, piecing together fragments of his forgotten past, hoping to one day reclaim what was lost to him.
